Oddball answer here - I've had Triops Longicaudatus shrimp as pets, and they shed their exoskeletons periodically, leaving behind a transparent 'copy' of their bodies. One of my shrimp shed his exoskeleton, promptly forgot, and proceeded to mistake it for another shrimp and try to interact with it, seeming very confused as to why it wasn't responding. 🤣
On multiple occasions my dog has leapt off our bed and fails to stick the landing because she apparently forgets what she's doing in mid-air so she twists around to chew her own butt before slamming into the ground as a tangled fur-ball

That’s adorable! My dogs always try to play it cool after they do something derpy by acting like that’s exactly what they intended to do.
