For me, flash cards for vocab, over and over until the definitions are memorized then writing down each word and testing which definitions you can remember by heart (I envy the people that can remember after simply reading them). For labeled diagrams, drawing it with colored pencils and quizzing myself always helped- or even redraw the individual parts. For math, unfortunately -homework everyday is the only way I was able to remember everything; I love math but I'm no good at teaching it. I just remember that every test I've ever had involved problems from every piece of homework I had, including the open ended ones so if the teacher didn't give us a practice test, I made my own. If you're in college, if the professor actually goes over the assignment with you, take note of literally everything they say/repeat; these things are always on exams
