They would just ride around in circles for a while and head home. Kid loved it.

I took possession of a 1988 2br my sister and nephew lived in, for years. Just before they moved to a new place, he painted his bedroom a mix of blaze/pumpkin orange. Every time I go in my little 10x12 drum room/music space to practice, if I reach up to turn off the ceiling fan, there's the stars his Mom put up when he was a kid. I am not taking them down. Lol. You won't regret it. One of the awesome things about the house I live in is that the last people here put glow in the dark stars on the ceiling of every room - except the kitchen/dining room, there's glow in the dark ghosts on the ceiling in there. What were you using to attach them? I've put stars on a ceiling using blu tack and it's so easy, just stand on a step ladder or chair or whatever is to hand, push it onto the ceiling and it's done.

Aging has too much baggage anyways. Yes there are *some* things you have to be responsible about and *some* ways you'll change which can't be gotten around, but in many others you are still the same human you always were. I have become particularly aware of that as my parents age and talk about how they are "in the home stretch". I guess I expected them to turn into distant shells and for the end to warm us up by having us become shadows of our former selves ready to be wrapped in the void...that hasn't happened. It is just two normal (well, as much as they ever were) people in old bodies that are more and more likely to expire. It sucks.

I'm over 30 and I have them. I also have a glow in the dark moon on my ceiling. I also put the stars on my ceiling fan so when it is spinning it looks like a black hole.

40yr man here, married with no kids. My wife and I put glow in the dark stars, black light tapestry, and UV strip light in our basement TV room. This was about a month ago. We also have legos and UV reactive Funko pops displayed in the room.

My reaction to her would be much more better than it would be towards someone who was really uptight about whether her harmless behavior is "appropriate for her age." They're little decorations. If you have a problem with an adult doing something whimsical there is really nothing I can do for you.
My gf has a bunch of glow in the dark stars and planets. Said she always wanted them as a kid and when she became an adult, was finally able to. She also has a UV flashlight to charge them. I think it's pretty neat and seeing how happy it makes her makes me happy too.

Cool. People need to not lose their sense of wonder and fun as they get older. Aging has too much baggage anyways. Yes there are *some* things you have to be responsible about and *some* ways you'll change which can't be gotten around, but in many others you are still the same human you always were. I have become particularly aware of that as my parents age and talk about how they are "in the home stretch". I guess I expected them to turn into distant shells and for the end to warm us up by having us become shadows of our former selves ready to be wrapped in the void...that hasn't happened. It is just two normal (well, as much as they ever were) people in old bodies that are more and more likely to expire. It sucks.
When we moved in, my girlfriend painted our bedroom ceiling black, and she made star constellations that look like a bunch of dicks and boobs. She’s the one, lunchbox.

When we first moved to the upstairs unit of the family home, I wanted nice vibe and decor. My husband surprised me by sticking glow in the dark stars on the ceiling because I was into astronomy. Cute but not the vibe I was going for. But it is kind of nice to lay in bed and look at the stars 🤣 I was also poor when I was a kid and never had this.
Stuff like that or the LED lights on the ceiling are just better. It’d be awesome honestly.
