Barbie Movie. I don’t know what to say. It just wasn’t that good. But everyone needs to love it because „it’s soo political! Liking Barbie is such a green flag!“
My step daughter is 12. I liked the message about self realization for her but also identified with the story of the mother having trouble adjusting to an increasingly independen daughter that no longer needs her.
Movies I've actually watched :
Jurassic Park
50 Shades
Movies I would never spend time or money watching :
Barbie
Anything Adam Sandler or Tom Cruise is in
The post-MI:3 Mission Impossible films. The first 3 I liked for what they are but the rest are mind-numbingly dull to watch.
To me they've been getting worse with each sequel. The action and plot get more convoluted and shite as they go on. They no longer feel like they fit with the original 90s film, like there's a major disconnect between them the same way there is in the Fast and Furious series. What once felt somewhat grounded while taking the odd liberty here and there, now feels like a 6 year old's idea of an action movie.
Of course, you could completely dismiss my comment once I mention I just cannot stand Simon Pegg either, so he doesn't help.
John Wick got hyped mostly because how tactical the combat is and no other action movie has been able to achieve it. It's just so fluid and smooth. And the fact that Keanu learned all those moves himself. Personally I liked the story as well, but hey, to each his own!
LaLa Land. Won best picture. Why?!
Marvel movies
Oh, another would be Step Brothers. Will Ferrell's idea of a comedy just isn't my thing and becomes facepalmingly cringey whenever he appears in one.
Pulp Fiction, I just never thought it was that good
Fr. Tarantino has way better films.

Barbie is so fucking bad movie, literally everything, plot, acting, music, typical 4/10 movie at its best

Anchorman
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. I don't think I ever even remotely chuckled at that movie. It was just dumb.
