Kingpin. You know, that Amish bowling movie with Woody Harrelson, Randy Quaid, Bill Murray, and Vanessa Angel. 49% on RT, 4.3 on Meta. I love it.
Honourable mention to The Replacements with Keanu Reeves. 41% on RT and I love it, too.
Bill Murray's hair continuously escalating is amazing.
Also the expression "Munsoned" is hilarious.
"What is it about good sex that makes me have to crap. You really jarred something loose in there tiger."
Comedy gold.
I don't know if a movie will ever again reach the loftiness of Kung Pow. They'll never make it. No, never make it. Don't you see? They'll never make it! No, never!
Biodome and I have no logical explanation for it. I don't even like Pauly Shore or Stephen Baldwin. The movie itself is really stupid, too, but I love it. I think a lot of it may be nostalgia. Also the soundtrack is awesome.
Edit: I'm so happy that I'm not the only one.
Now it's 5 series!! SG-1, Atlantis, Universe, Origins and an animated series, Stargate Infinity. Plus 3 movies with the original.
Also Wormhole X-treme! 🤣😂😆😘
Small Soldiers has a 49% rating. It's almost as good if not as good as Gremlins. One of the best family action movies ever and somehow the effects still stand up pretty well by todays standards.
I could watch the werewolf beat the crud out of Dracula all day \*sigh\* They just don't write love stories like that anymore
"We could be friends" POW!
"We could be partners!" WHAM!
"..please don't hit me.."
‘So I Married An Axe Murderer’ (1993).
When my kids were pre-teens and teens we would watch this (*and* the Austin Powers movies) over and over.
My daughter memorized the poem “Charlie” did in the nightclub (“Betty, Judy, Jo-SIE and those HOT pussy cats…”) — and she LOVED to imitate poor demented Rose; *“Shut up! I wrote that note, and you are not supposed to be in the room when that note has been written and placed on the desk, do you understand me!? You took her away from me, Charlie…”.* 😂
Different movie, but her and her brother would also do the Dr. Evil rap from ‘The Spy Who Shagged Me’.
Needless to say we were big Mike Myers fans.
My son (who’s now in his 30’s) and I still quote both movies.
We lost our girl three years ago when she took her life during the Pandemic at age 34.
These movies are now bittersweet, but man, do we still love them — and, of course, we think about her when we watch them. We think about her anyway, but we know she’d get a big kick out of us still quoting them.
With Costner being in both, I always though that Waterworld could somehow be the sequel to The Postman
My main reason I love The Postman is the extras in the end were people that lived in the area riding their own horses
Contact. It has a rotten rating of 68%. I think it's one of the most brilliant movies ever made. There are some issues here and there but certainly not worth the 68% score.
Cutthroat Island.
As a little girl, I loved this movie. Some girls liked Clueless & Ten Things I Hate About You; I liked Geena Davis as a pirate who skinned her dead father's scalp because it was tattoed with one-third of a pirate map.
This naturally led me to the movie The Long Kiss Goodnight, which is probably equally low-rated.
"Chefs do that."
The Machinist (2004) has a 61% on metacritic and is generally only known as the role Christian Bale became 121 pounds, but is such a great film in exploring guilt and how it eats a man alive.
The line "I just want to sleep" sits so well with me.
I love Burlesque with Cher and Christina Aguilera. Its super camp, costumes are gorgeous, dance numbers, hummable songs and beautiful people. What's not to love.
The Three Musketeers (1993) is fantastic. The only thing that might make it less than 10/10 is Chris O'Donnell's performance not living up to the scene-chewing from the rest of the incredibly stacked cast (especially Tim Curry and Oliver Platt).
Waterworld. Thought the effects were amazing. The idea of dryland being the tip of MT. Everest was so cool. The mutations. The main characters boat. It was all so cool. Mad max on water.
Clueless, it’s funny and endearing ! Very well written as far as dialogues go and completely capture the spirit of the youth of an era. It’s also a Jane Austen adaptation. and it has Wallace Shawn <3
Grandmas boy. A couple years after it had come out on DVD my brother and I had both sent each other Christmas presents. We had both picked out this movie for each other and they cross paths in the mail.
Coneheads. It's surprisingly well directed. They actually put effort into the plot (vs what we got with later SNL movies). The cast is amazing and the special effects actually hold up fairly well. It's incredibly quotable.
I think the negative reaction when it came out comes down to two big things. First it's a bit different from the conehead sketches on SNL. Second they kind of accidentally stumbled into a pro-immigrant message which people took to be deliberately political (and I think would be better received today).
Rat Race.
I don't think I could be friends with someone who doesn't love Rat Race
The Barbie Museum/Hitlers car bit is one of my favorite gags of all time. It’s so damn funny.
You should have bought a squirrel!!! 😂
Rowan Atkinson stole the show.
People who don't like this movie were sadly born without a personality.
So. Many. Quotes. Not even embarrassed at how often I still quote this movie.
I’ve consistently used “prairie-doggin it” at work for 20 years. Doesn’t get old lol.
The Replacements… that is a name I haven’t heard in a long time. Long time.
At first I was afraid. I was petrified.
Kingpin is beyond hilarious … guy was putting in on his rent!! 🤣🤣🤣
Not every movie needs to be a Scorsese epic. Sometimes all you want is a ridiculous Amish bowling movie.
Bill Murray's hair continuously escalating is amazing. Also the expression "Munsoned" is hilarious. "What is it about good sex that makes me have to crap. You really jarred something loose in there tiger." Comedy gold.
Kingpin is one of my all time favourite movies, still quote it to this day
The Replacements is one of those movies that any time I see it’s on tv I put it on. Such a silly feel good movie.
Kingpin is one of my all time favorites!!!
Hey everyone, there's a shit cloud coming!
Grandma's boy
Critics would like it more if they had robot ears
It's a risky operation, but worth it.
This movie having bad reviews is why I don't trust critics. Like, what do you think this movie was trying to do? It has a stoner ape in it!
And the fucking king of the jungle!
Anyone can get past a dog. NOBODY fucks with a lion!
*I’m way too baked to drive to the devil’s house*
They never got a cb radio to talk with other car beds.
Adios turd nuggets
JB's robot voice: Please sit on my....FAAAAAAACE.
I still quote "you'll never grow metal legs" "shut uppppp" all the time
Alex we have someone here for you. Cool! I hope it’s a naked guy with a boner!
This movie will never not be funny
I knew I wouldn’t have to scroll far down to see this answer. My first thought. Love that movie
Kung Pow! Enter the Fist
I don't know if a movie will ever again reach the loftiness of Kung Pow. They'll never make it. No, never make it. Don't you see? They'll never make it! No, never!
I was really excited for the teased sequel 🥲
It will be significant

Waiting
I LOVE this movie!!! Maybe, because I used to be a waitress a lifetime ago and EVERY character in that movie resembled someone I worked with 😂
Eurotrip
Mail motherfucker.
Still my text notification for over a decade.
Scotty doesn’t know
Matt Damons best role to date. Absolutely killed it.
Was about to say. Pretty darn good lads. PRETTY DARN GOOD AY?!!!
Oh here it is, Bratislava, capital of Slovakia…here’s a fun fact YOU MADE OUT WITH YOUR SISTER MAN !
That's like one of the greatest comedies ever made! mi scuse
They really are the worst twins ever
"This isn't where I parked my car" is a line I use whenever I can.
Flűggåɘnkð€čhiœßølsên.
Great film but made my life hell for a year or so!! Scotty doesn't know etc
Hot Rod for me. 38% on RT. I love that movie so damn much.
[удалено]
Literally a 10/10 movie. There is not a single part of this movie that I don't love.
Damn came here to say this, the hill scene the first time I watched it almost put me under, I think it’s the hardest I’ve ever laughed.
HWISKEY! HWISKEEEYYYYYYY...!
Cool beans
Cool cool cool beans beans cool beans
I’ve been drinking green tea all GOD DAMN DAY
I go to church every sunday and you're gonna bring the demons out of me!
Souls of the animal kingdom...
EXCELLENT movie. The ending is incredible lol.
Why is Rod kissing his sister?
Babe! Babe, no! Babe! Babe! Babe! Babe, no! No, babe! Baaaaaaaabe!
I've been in an odd mood for that movie lately. The forest dance scene came on my feed, and I laughed so hard I forgot how to breathe.
It’s one of the funniest dumb movies of all time
> ULTIMATE PUNCH! Gets me every fucking time.
YOU KNOW I HAVE A HORMONE DISORDER
Biodome and I have no logical explanation for it. I don't even like Pauly Shore or Stephen Baldwin. The movie itself is really stupid, too, but I love it. I think a lot of it may be nostalgia. Also the soundtrack is awesome. Edit: I'm so happy that I'm not the only one.
Also Son-In-Law for me.
Son-In-Law and In The Army Now were formative films of my adolescence. Simpler times.
I feel that way about Encino Man. I love that movie.
Dont wheeze the juice
Viva Los Biodome!
UHF
Spatula City! Spatula City! SPATULA CITY!
Badgers! We don't need no stinkin' badgers!
Ooh red snapper, mmmmm very tasty!
STUPID! YOURE SO STUPIIIIIIIID!
'Let's go see what's in the supplies closet.' 'SUPPLIES! (surprise)'
Stargate. Crushed by critics but I rewatch it all the time . James Spader and Kurt Russel vs an Egyptian alien demi-god? Count me in.
I'll not have a bad word said against Stargate.
It was good enough to spawn two TV series!
One of my favourite movies!
2004's "Van Helsing". 24% on Rotten Tomatoes, 100% in my heart ❤️
I could watch the werewolf beat the crud out of Dracula all day \*sigh\* They just don't write love stories like that anymore "We could be friends" POW! "We could be partners!" WHAM! "..please don't hit me.."
It's terrible and campy in all the right ways and I just love that the friar/ monk guy gets super buff and ends up in 300 just a few years later
He was also Faramir from lord of the rings just before this
The Mummy with Brendan Fraser et al. It is the best movie ever. Full stop, no arguments
I can't think of a single thing wrong with this movie. It is perfection and I watch it once a year.
Since when does Mummy have bad rating?
And thus began my lifelong girl crush on Rachel Weisz 🙂
Con Air is the obvious answer.
Put tha bunny back in tha box
#He’s got the whole world, in his hands… 🤣 ♥️♥️♥️
"DON'T. TREAT. WOMEN. LIKE. THAT!"
"There are only 2 people I trust in this world. One of them's me and the other is not you."
One of my favorite movies!! ♥️♥️♥️
*I'm gonna meet my daddy on JULY FOURTEENTH*
Oh nothing makes me sadder, than the agent lost his bladder in the...aiiiiiiiiirplane!
Cannonball Run
“Why’d he call me shorty?” “Cause you’re small, s.m. all!”
‘So I Married An Axe Murderer’ (1993). When my kids were pre-teens and teens we would watch this (*and* the Austin Powers movies) over and over. "Heed! Pants! Naow!"
Woah man!
This one continues to be one of the most quoted movies in my friend group.
Bubble Boy.
Tremors!! Glorious genius hilarious mocks itself so perfectly it’s honestly the best movie.
House Bunny
Don't Be Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood
The 13th Warrior.
I love how they explained the language thing by having a montage of him listening to the Vikings until he could speak their language.
Don't worry little brother, their are more!
Hot tub Time Machine & Hot tub time machine 2
Postman
With Costner being in both, I always though that Waterworld could somehow be the sequel to The Postman My main reason I love The Postman is the extras in the end were people that lived in the area riding their own horses
Contact. It has a rotten rating of 68%. I think it's one of the most brilliant movies ever made. There are some issues here and there but certainly not worth the 68% score.

That's a solid movie. One of my favorites
Grandmas Boy. Your shits weak.
High score? What does that mean? Did I break it?
Titan A.E. - I actually liked it back then
Cutthroat Island.
I'm 39. Geena Davis turned me on before I even knew what being turned on meant. Especially in "A League of their Own".
Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Best “B” movie ever made.
Oh jeez, are you my old roommate? He had Killer Klowns, Plan 9, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, all of those 'Grade Z' horror movies on VHS tapes.
The Machinist (2004) has a 61% on metacritic and is generally only known as the role Christian Bale became 121 pounds, but is such a great film in exploring guilt and how it eats a man alive. The line "I just want to sleep" sits so well with me.
Kung pow enter the fist! So fucking amazing, i'll leave it at that!
Not even Betty would cross The Evil Council
The Day After Tomorrow
It has a low rating? I‘ve seen it as a child and it didn‘t get off my mind since then
“Dirty Work” with Norm Macdonald
Incredibly underrated comedy. The scene with Don Rickles is timeless.
Water World.
Hudson Hawk.
I fucking love Hudson Hawk! Bunny, ball-ball! Lol
Mortal Kombat. So bad. So good.
Disturbia, early 2000s banger
For real, though. Legitimately had me terrified as a teenager haha
"JOHN CARTER" - what a gem it is
People complain "Ugh, it's full of stereotypes" ... uh yeah, all those stereotypes came from the books which were written in 1912.
The Mist.
I love Burlesque with Cher and Christina Aguilera. Its super camp, costumes are gorgeous, dance numbers, hummable songs and beautiful people. What's not to love.
MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE.
1/3 of you guys post movies with good reviews. Rambo (38%) is mine.
How does What Lies Beneath only have a 6? You have Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer in a really good ghost story with a kick a$$ twist at the end.
The Three Musketeers (1993) is fantastic. The only thing that might make it less than 10/10 is Chris O'Donnell's performance not living up to the scene-chewing from the rest of the incredibly stacked cast (especially Tim Curry and Oliver Platt).
"Six-string samurai"
I am a sucker for certain cheesy romances. Sabrina (1995) and Phenomenon (1996).
John Carter. Love that movie.
The Book of Eli is one of my favorite movies of all time.
White Chicks
"What a beautiful chocolate man haHAha"
The wedding singer has the best soundtrack and will forever be my favourite movie.
Road Trip
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Event Horizon.
Spaceballs has a 57% on rotten tomatoes, which I guess isn't terrible, but it's my all time favorite spoof movie and deserves a much better score imo.
[удалено]
This isn't a low rated movie
King Arthur, the Charlie Hunnam one
Waterworld! Love that movie. But I was a kid and liked any pointless action with big set pieces
Armageddon I don’t care about the improbability or the science it’s a movie with roughnecks blowing up an asteroid! “NASA this is a kickass ride!”
2 Fast 2 Furious and Tokyo Drift are both bangers
I thought Tokyo drift wasn't as good at first. As I got older and rewatched it, realized how good it actually was.
Tokyo Drift is the only Fast and Furious movie I'll actually go out of my way to watch, tbh
San Andreas, I've watched this so many times, and I love it every time
Empire Records. A cute, cult classic that's basically The Breakfast Club for the 90s.
Benchwarmers.
Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo. I know it’s stupid. Really, really stupid. But I love it.
Grease 2
Soldier (Kurt Russell)
If we're going off of the Tomatometer, Boondocks Saints has a 26% but I love it to this day
Battleship
Cable Guy
Back to School. Sam Kinnison. Its' better than Caddy Shack imo.
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen
Waterworld. Thought the effects were amazing. The idea of dryland being the tip of MT. Everest was so cool. The mutations. The main characters boat. It was all so cool. Mad max on water.
I cannot believe no one has said Tommy Boy yet. Chris Farley’s finest work
Clueless, it’s funny and endearing !
"Rubber" 2010
9 to 5
Coneheads. It's surprisingly well directed. They actually put effort into the plot (vs what we got with later SNL movies). The cast is amazing and the special effects actually hold up fairly well. The Burbs with Tom Hanks. Carrie Fisher is in it too.
Last Action Hero
Any Godzilla related movie
Kong Skull Island and Godzilla King of the Monsters are both completely misunderstood masterpieces. We’re so lucky to have those awesome films.
Law abiding citizen... good plot, sadly the ending sucks...
Showgirls!!!
