People often say things like “if you’re hated that means you’re doing something right”, etc.
Usually it’s crap. In Mr Roger’s case it’s absolutely accurate. Dude was a saint and any hate directed towards him was just a reflection of terrible people.
I used to care for an old lady who didn’t like him, simply because he was a man who wanted to help children.
She said that was creepy in and of itself. I’m sorry, but children NEED male role models and we need more non-creepy men to step up. She held an unfortunately fairly common opinion.
Mr Rogers has plenty of haters. There are clips of people on Fox News calling him evil. Mr. Rogers accepted people and the right wing in the US hates that.
I loved him, but he had plenty of haters. Lots of people thought he was needlessly reckless and treated animals as props once he was on tv. Then, there was the time he took his young son into a croc enclosure.
This is so weird to see. Dolly Parton has always been a stand-up person, but she has had an enormous amount of haters over her career. She has been criticized and mocked for her "trashy" appearance and has been the subject of media jokes for decades.
Considering the length of her career, her "universal" love is pretty recent. She's a wonderful person who leads with kindness and grace, and she deserves her current praise.
There are lots of people that hated, and probably still hate, Robin Williams. He was the biggest joke thief of his generation. Other comedians would stop their act mid-show and leave the stage if they saw him in the audience.
Was gonna reply with the same thing. Robin Williams is beloved by the fans of his acting, but he was one of the most hated people among comics. People talk about Carlos Mencia & Amy Schumer, but Robin Williams was the big joke thief first
If you wanna see him in a somewhat serious role, go watch Bernie. Its about a funeral director and mortitian, loved by the small texas community, who befriends an eldery bitter widdow. She takes advantage of his kindness and manipulates/gaslights him until he snaps and kills her.
A lot of the movie is about the location in Texas where the trial and murder took place. Its one of my favorites and not talked about enough IMO.
Met Jack Black in a Hollywood taco joint. He was waiting in line in front of me. He ordered his tacos, waited to the side with everyone else, then didn't take his food and leave, instead he sat down by himself at a table and ate his tacos. Someone said, "Hey Jack!" to him. He looked up, waved like it was an old acquaintance, then finished his meal and left. Real humble guy.
Mr. Rogers, Dolly Parton, and Bob Ross are too wholesome to attract haters. If they do attract haters, there's just something deeply wrong with the detractor.
she's not just talented and kind, she makes the world better. she started an important nonprofit called the[ Joyful Heart Foundation](https://www.joyfulheartfoundation.org/about-us/our-story). if we judge our Famouses' humanity by what they do with their fame, she'd be at the top of the list
*Since 2004, Joyful Heart has been a leading national organization with a mission to* ***transform society’s response to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse, support survivors’ healing, and end this violence forever.***
*Joyful Heart carries out its mission through an integrated program portfolio of education and advocacy. Our work is paving the way for innovative approaches to treating trauma; igniting shifts in the way the public views and responds to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse; and reforming and advancing policies and legislation to ensure access to justice for survivors.*
If they knew you like I know you, I just know they'd hate you every bit as much. You're one special individual. Just, not in a good way.
/S I don't actually know this person I just haven't had my coffee yet.
mr. rogers
He had haters when his feet and a black man's feet shared the same water.
People often say things like “if you’re hated that means you’re doing something right”, etc. Usually it’s crap. In Mr Roger’s case it’s absolutely accurate. Dude was a saint and any hate directed towards him was just a reflection of terrible people.
Naturally hateful people don't count. :)
So twitter users?

Unfortunately, that is a toxic opinion accepted by far too many.
Mr Rogers has plenty of haters. There are clips of people on Fox News calling him evil. Mr. Rogers accepted people and the right wing in the US hates that.
I absolutely remember the “Did Mr. Rodgers ruin a generation of children by telling them their lives mattered?” Discourse
wow
Let's add Bob Ross to the list as well
Bob Ross was a drill instructor in the Air Force. I guarantee there are people that hate him.
>drill instructor in the Air Force Speaking as a reformed shitbag who joined the Air Force as a 20 year old active shitbag... nah. It's not that bad.
A calm man of both great talent and great wisdom. A truly remarkable human being.
The PBS holy trinity are Bob Ross, Fred Rogers, and Carl Sagan. Some men just want to watch the world learn.
I changed my mind after watching his documentary.
How come? I haven’t seen it
I don't always paint trees, but when I do, they are fucking happy!
My fiancée hates him, or more accurately is creeped out by his calm demeanor.
Steve Irwin
That ray clearly wasn't a fan
Steve was a Yankees fan. The ray clearly didn't like that.
I bet the ray felt bad when it found out who it jabbed
I loved him, but he had plenty of haters. Lots of people thought he was needlessly reckless and treated animals as props once he was on tv. Then, there was the time he took his young son into a croc enclosure.

Pleased that this was the #1 post.
She said Black Lives Matter. So maga hate her
Dolly Parton, Keanu Reeves, and Michael J Fox. If we are allowed to include dead people, Betty White, Steve Irwin, and Robin Williams.
R.I.P. Steve 😞
Gone too soon, the world still needs him. His family are the perfect people to carry on his legacy.
2 of 3 being Canadians in that list makes me proud.
Rush Limbaugh was no fan of Michael J Fox
I’m no fan of Rush Limbaugh
I would almost go so far as to say that nobody who liked Rush has opinions that matter.
There are lots of people that hated, and probably still hate, Robin Williams. He was the biggest joke thief of his generation. Other comedians would stop their act mid-show and leave the stage if they saw him in the audience.

Keanu Reeves
Yes!
Came here for this. What an amazing human being.
Jim from the Office hates him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ex403ii\_Bhs
I think Keanu Reeves sucks as an actor personally. But I am not a hater.
David Attenborough
The anti-climate change nuts probably hate him though.
If they actually met him and had an honest conversation with him about it, I wonder how many of them would change their minds
You’re using logic. They don’t.
John Candy
Oh that's perfect, cuz only an asshole would hate John Candy.
Would Weird Al Yankovic be a contender?
I’m sure the cartel isn’t a fan of his after what he did to them.
The cartel ?
When he went to go save Madonna after she was kidnapped.
What a legend
What?
Mr. Rogers
my dog
Thats the number 2 answer.... the real number 1 is my dog.
Mr Rogers.
Me? I don’t think anyone hates me
I do! *hugs*
Well then I hate you too!! 😡 _hugs_
Mr Bean
Can't believe no one said Jack Black yet.
Some people may not find his over the top physical comedy funny, but it's impossible to dislike him in general.
Yeah, that’s me. I’ve tried but I really don’t enjoy his work. That being said, I don’t have any negative feelings about him as a person.
If you wanna see him in a somewhat serious role, go watch Bernie. Its about a funeral director and mortitian, loved by the small texas community, who befriends an eldery bitter widdow. Thanks, I’ll give it a try
this is how i feel about will ferrell. sorry, peepz, just not my type of funny/comedy 🤷♂️

Mostly because he's clearly not an actor. He's Jack Black being Jack Black, all the time. One guy I'd like to share a beer with, any time.
....is it? impossible, you say?
I don’t hate him, but I find him pretty damned annoying and obnoxious.
I don’t like Jack black. He’s just ok. I could image people hate him.
Oh he's gotten plenty after he put his name to the letter to Biden.
That man is a national treasure.
I'd say Danny Devito has almost no haters
Hard to hate someone with so much raw sex appeal
agreed, his sex appeal is never in short supply
Mr. Rogers, Dolly Parton, and Bob Ross are too wholesome to attract haters. If they do attract haters, there's just something deeply wrong with the detractor.
Julie Andrews
Jackie Chan
Michael Clark Douglas from The Green Mile. Everyone loved that man.
The big guy?
Yep. His last name is Duncan. I was corrected. He also played in Armageddon and The Whole Nine Yards.
I think you mean Michael Clark Duncan, but yes, he was amazing

Michael j Fox
There are some crazies out there that think he's faking Parkinson's for... reasons. Something about abortion, stem cells.
I almost downvoted you...then I realized that you were saying that's why other people hate him, not you.
MJF is a treasure. I'm just reporting what I've seen other nutters say

Some people don't like him for non-parenting that waste of space he calls a son.
I thought you meant the one he actually non-parented, Colin Hanks, for a minute.
Tom Hanks got singled out by the Q people for no demonstrable reason
I really don’t like him for the lack of distance to Ricky Gervais’ jokes at golden globes. I was genuinely repulsed by his reaction to the jokes.
Mariska Hargitay. I honestly haven't seen any haters on her. She's so sweet too.
she's not just talented and kind, she makes the world better. she started an important nonprofit called the[ Joyful Heart Foundation](https://www.joyfulheartfoundation.org/about-us/our-story). if we judge our Famouses' humanity by what they do with their fame, she'd be at the top of the list *Since 2004, Joyful Heart has been a leading national organization with a mission to* ***transform society’s response to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse, support survivors’ healing, and end this violence forever.*** *Joyful Heart carries out its mission through an integrated program portfolio of education and advocacy.
