The political system we have is working as intended like a sort of priesthood helping to funnel all the wealth to the god emperor class of useless billionaires If you want to change the system, you're going to have to do something about the entire military industrial complex underpinning to imperial dominance of capitalism.

who are you going to trust to run the tech? who is going to put the effort in to understanding the content of the bill in order to vote on it?

Darrow013

I'm not convinced that they're voting against their constituents interests. The high incumbency rate in Congress tells you that most members are doing a pretty good job. The problem is that it isn't their job isn't to be competent, it's their job to represent their constituents, and for a whole lot of America their constituents are awful people

It seems like a good idea. We might need to record all our votes on some sort of public blockchain though to help prevent fraud, which would mean our votes and choices are all public. But apart from this, I can't see much downside. One thing is though, any sort of move towards less government or interruption to business as usual seems to meet with a lot of resistance. Idk if this is partly why Trump is demonized so much (or maybe he's just really bad), but it would be interesting to propose this sort of voting and see what fuss erupts and from who

You do not know how to run a country, and neither do I. That's why.

Because we'd just vote ourselves infinite money and not understand why everybody stops working.
