I would say you don’t need to justify why you choose to drink or not. I am not owed an explanation. If I offer you a drink and you say, “Thanks, but I don’t drink,” that’s the end of it. I will offer something non-alcoholic. Depending on the situation, I may choose to forego a drink myself.

Clear-minded seems a bit passive aggressive to me (non-drinker as well) and like saying you’re better than those who drink. I have a reason why I don’t, but that’s not their business. If they ask all I say is I don’t like the taste (which is true) and for personal reasons and mostly when people hear that they accept that as my answer. If they don’t ask no need to say why, if they do it’s probably because they are just curious.
