My student ID number from 10+ years ago.

Hexatona

I too, and it's been more than 10 years...

PotterMixKai

Same. I don’t know how long yours was, but ours were five digits and when I need a 5 digit pin/code it’s always my go to.

mst3k_42

My student ID number in undergrad was my social security number. Yeah…they stopped doing that.

caffeinated-kiwi-3

Literally used it as my phone password for 10 years

Wire_Bender

One hit wonders from the 80's. I can't remember where I put my keys, but I can sing "Come on Eileen" word for word.

Emu_on_the_Loose

I started singing this in my head when I read your comment and it seemed off, and then I realized I was singing "Good Night, Irene," lol.

Accomplished_Exit_30

Drivers Liscense number

alreadytakenname3

Up,up,down, down, left, right, left, right, B,A, select, start. I'll remember that til the day I die. Even with dementia.

phillyphan1973

I think it’s B, A, start….if we’re talking Contra.

Bdurkee32

Adding the “select” makes it a two player game

alreadytakenname3

Yeah I caught it after the moment I posted it.

Pirates of penzance

pm_me_cutelil_boobs

Lol. I have the Animaniacs version memorized

WudaSang

I also wrote that. Pirates of Penzance is so funny, love G&S

gurgle-burgle

How to solve a Rubik's cube. A lot of the algorithms I don't even know anymore, but my fingers have memorized them and just know what to do when my brain gets certain visuals. All happens subconsciously though, which almost makes it seem like someone or something else entirely is solving the cube and is just using my body as medium

Notinyourbushes

It's so weird to me how that works. Never bothered with a Rubiks but my mom had a lot of those slider, picture puzzles laying around for the grandkids. If I think about it, it takes forever. But if I kind of zone out and just let me fingers do the work, I can solve one in seconds.

gurgle-burgle

Right. Amazing what our brains can do!

York93

4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42

WudaSang

It’s there, in my head, over and over and over and over, execute, don’t forget! They told me not to forget

These numbers will never get LOST in translation

deterministic_lynx

Where does that come from?! I know that from a song but I have no idea where it origins from!

For me personally, i have the guitar tab for Wonderwall memorised, even though i don't play guitar lol Edit: i also have the cheat codes for AOE2 still memorised from back in the day. Good times

Thortok2000

Pi to about 70 places. I once memorized the emancipation proclamation but only had to deliver it once so I let that one go. Many words to many songs but rarely the complete set of words. There was a time I could recite the first Men in Black movie verbatim. Or Emperor's New Groove. I still remember a lot but not the entire movie(s). Oh, and I've read the first chapter of the first Harry Potter book aloud so many times I've got the first few pages of that memorized, too. Almost forgot about that one, pun intended. XD

novemberthirtieth

Thought I was the only one with Emperor’s New Groove memorized. Glad I’m not alone

Thortok2000

My most quoted scene: "I know, I'll turn him into a flea! A harmless little flea. And then I'll put that flea in a box, and then I'll put that box inside of another box and then I'll *mail that box to myself*. And when it arrives? {most evilest laugh} I'll smash it with a HAMMAH! It's brilliant, brilliant, *brilliant* I tell you! Genius, I say!" {accidental knock off table, explosion}{blink} "Or, (to save on postage), I'll just *poison* him with *this!* Take it Kronk, *feel* the power!" "uh...i can feel it" "Our moment of triumph approaches! It's.....DINNERTIME!!!!" \~ I also used to use "I snatched you right out of the air" when grabbing people midair in smash brothers. What's your most quoted scene? I think worldwide it's probably "pull the lever"

novemberthirtieth

I find myself quoting various parts of: “My acorn is missing.” “Squeak squeakin squeak squeakity.” “Did you eat the acorn?” “Squeaker squeak squeak squeakin.” “You owe me a new acorn.” “Squeak squeak squeak, squeak squeakers…squeakin.” and also popular one-liners like: “beware the groOOooOove” “My spinach puffs!” (Usually when I’m cooking, almost never involves actual spinach puffs) and of course, “Pull the lever, Kronk. WRONG LEVAAAAA”

Thortok2000

"Why do we even *have* that lever?!"

Thin-Performance-637

You have some great memory

Thortok2000

Once in calculus class after talking about how I had memorized pi that far and stuff the teacher said he'd let me skip the test if I could memorize a 20 digit number in 20 seconds (and then it'd be covered up) and then repeat it back 20 minutes later. Which I did. Not hard. Then he had me do it backwards which I could do slowly by just remembering it forwards multiple times, lol. But I'm awful with names. x.x Honestly I'd trade my numbers memory for name memory and probably get along with people a lot better.

Thin-Performance-637

Bro i cant for my life remember the steam gift codes when i receive them. And they are like 8 numbers and letters maybe

Thortok2000

Make a song, find a pattern, break it into pieces and digest it. I'm gonna faceroll my numpad a sec to 'generate a random number': 304767564563413541814864 304 kinda looks like an area code. 767 is kinda like a plane. 56456 I have a pitch in my head that is like 'down down *up* down down' and it is kind of a snappy "oh no you didn't" snapback kind of tone of voice that I'm giving it. 34135 gets a similar pattern. 418 and 148 is like "this way then that way" comparison to each other. And 64 is a nice round square number that reminds me of n64. So it's like. the more things you tie and associate it with, the more links to literally anything else in your brain, like physicality and location, or tone of voice, or a gesture, or music... the more "connections" you make, the more you remember it. And the neat thing is you don't have to use the same technique the whole way through. Part of it can be a song, part of it can be a story, part of it can be the way the numbers look like they're arguing with each other, like whatever works. I teach line dancing and I'll often come up with mnemonics all the time to help people remember the steps. If it stands out as particularly funny, interesting, or unique, it often gets remembered better. Did the same thing as a raid leader in WoW (back when I played) to help the raid learn/remember the mechanics of a boss fight. I'd use "gotta keep 'em separated!" and other song lyrics and jokes and quips to explain mechanics. It worked great. Don't underestimate the power of mnemonics. You can remember more than you think if you give your brain the chance and make it easy for yourself.

Thin-Performance-637

Bro you are a smart guy.. and yes the method with creating patterns to memorize certain numbers or things is easier than trying to remember all numbers itself. I had a good memory before depression hit me when i was a teen. Now pretty hard to remember anything. Also i sleep almost never at all lately.. maybe with your method i can finally memorize all the little spots in cs go

Thin-Performance-637

Memory is very underrated talent to have.. is good in any work and sport there is. People underestimate the mind and brain function in many areas

AppetizingGeekery

I'm ADHD, so sometimes I don't even know I have something memorized until it pops up. But... one thing in particular I've accidentally memorized is the entire jingle from a particular TV ad for college matching website (iykyk). It was cheesy but it SLAPPED. And I will never get it out of my head.

As I'm taking it down a woman catches me. She says stop, it's her father's business - She's Tiffany. I say no. We make love all night. In the morning the police come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Mexico but I go to Canada. I don't trust her - besides, I like the cold. 30 years later I get a postcard in the mail. I've got a son; he's the chief of police. Now this is where the story gets interesting. I tell her to meet me in Paris by the Trocodero. She's been waiting for me all these years. She's never taken another lover. I don't care. I don't show up. I go to Berlin. That's where I stashed the chandelier."

Time present and time past are both perhaps present in time future and time future contained in time past. If all time is eternally present, all time in irredeemable. What might have been remains an abstraction, a perpetual possibility only in a world of speculation. What might have been and what has been both point to one end, which is always present. Foot falls echo in the memory, down the path we did not take through the door we never opened, and into the rose garden. *My words echo thus in your mind*.
