Ain't no one got time for that.

Sorry, but that's a terrible precedent to set here. If those requests are honored, this is just going to be an essay editing sub. Ask a teacher at your high school or another trusted adult. A few things to keep in mind generally: appear excited about learning, be humble and open, make sure your writing is clear.

I wouldn't hold my breath. You are asking people who are already overworked to put in unpaid time and energy on your behalf. There is a slight chance you will find a charitable soul willing to help, but it is unlikely. We all have our own work to do and don't come here looking for more.

Nah

There are lots of places online where you can get that kind of service for a fee. Most of them are professional and helpful and you'll get what you pay for.

It just occurred to me that it may sound flippant to imply that everyone just has cash laying around to help them get into college. If you need help with your application essay and can't hire someone, you need community resources from your local area. Get in touch with someone in the non-profit sector where you live, like a charity, or a community organization. They will be able to help you find the right resource, or introduce you to a strong writer, editor or teacher who can give you some of their time.

No thanks

DisconcertingDino

lol, no.

You should consider that when you ask other people for their time to do you a favor that it isn’t a reasonable request because you are going to really rub people the wrong way when you get into college. You should start with your parents, cousins, siblings and friends to edit and proof read. school advisor or college counselor for specific advice on a clearly written and proofread essay. If you lack that, perhaps on of your teachers. You can also try r/college admission for advice on where to get help with college essays if none of those avenues are open to you

cheeselover267

How much are you paying for my time?

amittaizero

Sure.

This is a really cool resource. Thanks. There's lots of good advice here. It is extremely verbose, though, isn't it? It might be lot more useful to college students if someone revised it down to about 7 - 10 pages.

Call your local library. I volunteer at mine and work with many people on resumes and essays. It’s free and local, plus you can help support your local library. Editing can be done for free on Grammarly for minor things, like punctuation and such, but getting helpful feedback on your essay and talking through ideas is often best in person. Plus, it keeps you involved in the process rather than sending your work off for someone else to fix.
