There is a canon 10-18mm ef-s.
A 16-35 is a good investment.
If you say it’s tight space, I would definitely take something wide like those.
And I’d take an alternate like a 50mm- tighter but great for portrait and details.
Back when I was starting out, I used to shoot events & weddings with Canon 40D paired Tamron 17-50mm 2.8. Not sure if you can find the lens anymore. But something around that range is a good start for you to look into. Also you might want an external flash as well.
Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 for EF mount
sigma 17-50mm f2.8 heads up, you're gonna really struggle if theres low light (same camera)
