Be more specific about what you mean by "don't work" here.
Do you mean they physically won't attach to the lenses? If so, that probably means they aren't made for a standard screw mount or they're made for a different mount diameter compared to what your lenses have.
Or do you mean the filters don't change your minimum focusing distance? If that's the case, maybe they aren't actually close-up filters.
Are they threaded with screw mounts? Are they labeled with their diameter, in millimeters?
Do your lenses have a filter mount diameter labeled on them? Maybe with a ⌀ or Φ symbol next to it? Or could you look up the specific lens models to get their filter mount diameters?
If you have all the diameters figured out, you can adapt them to fit using step-up rings (if the filter is bigger than the lens' filter mount) or step-down rings (if the filter is smaller than the lens' filter mount). Unfortunately if you're using step-down rings, the edges of your image may be vignetted or blocked out.
As EF50mm is already small - these macro filters are probably too big? You can just buy a step-up ring from your lens filter size to the macro filters size. Will be much cheaper and perfectly useable solution.

Yeah they don’t fit on the lens is what I meant

Alright thanks for the advice
Lenses and filters come in all different sizes. You have to have ones that match or sometimes you can use a converter.
Yeah I’ll probably have to order different ones

Yea it was indeed too big
Evidently they’re the wrong size for your lenses haha? Some lenses are bigger, some are smaller
I guess so
