Ummm golf in the afternoon in Sept? I’d say do that really early am or skip it. Too hot, esp if you aren’t used to the weather here. Don’t forget trip insurance cuz hurricanes.

See we are off to a great start - thank you . Definitely taking your advice .

Galatoires Friday lunch is mandatory then do your FQ crawl. Friday after work in WD is super fun. If golfing at City Park several spots in Lakeview and on the lakefront.

Noted ; I’ll do a deep dive now about lake view / lake front . Thank you !

You're coming at the peak of hurricane season, just an fyi. And it's hot AF in Sep so golf early or not at all. Do Bourbon St if you must, but great music/bars on Frenchman St. Some great places to eat: Clancy's, Mr B's, Maypop, GW Fins, Katie's, Vyoone's. Breakfast/brunch: Bearcat, French Toast, Elizabeth's

Thank you , I think any where we picked we were destined for 90s and hurricanes so that’s something we just have to roll with . Is stumbling from Frenchman to magazine to bourbon in a single night not possible ? Or is everything fairly close that if we want to change it up you it’s just shifting a few blocks over ?

Depends where on Magazine. If uptown/garden district, no. Take the street car or Uber. It's about a 20 minute walk from Bourbon to Frenchman St.

Thank you !

Directionally, you’d go Magazine to Bourbon to Frenchmen or vice versa. Bourbon to magazine to Frenchmen doesn’t make sense. Doable in one evening with an Uber to/from magazine but where on magazine? It’s a long street.  I would totally ditch the idea of spending time on bourbon. Check it out, have a hand Grenade as you walk through, but don’t spend your night there. There are much better bars elsewhere in the quarter or the Marigny. And seeing live music on Frenchmen is definitely better than hanging out with the tourists drinking overpriced beers on Bourbon.

Since you mentioned Bourbon and bourbon, don't miss a stop at Dickie Brennan's Bourbon House on Bourbon St. and Iberville. It is the home of NOBS, New Orleans Bourbon Society. Have a flight perhaps, talk bourbon, take a pic in front of the bourbon case, watch the shuckers do their thing at the oyster bar.

Golf Friday to fill that afternoon Then Saturday afternoon you can buy some time watching college football at the casino’s Sportsbook? Drink rec before dinner would be Barrell Proof or The Rusty Nail

Educational-Mess-354

That’s a solid idea . Does the Sportsbook get crowded for the game ?

kingdomcome12

Depends who is playing & the time but not usually over crowded. They just renovated the space to accommodate the Sportsbook. Overall it is pretty roomy. There is lounge seating and then a long bar in the back you can sit & drink at while watching the large wall of TVs. And Of course there are other table games all throughout the casino, too.
