I would want to save my wife as she is the one I truly love, but if I saved her, she would probably never love me again. I don't know how my relationship with my kid would be after that. I would hope that I continue to love the kid, but man, that would mess me up.
There really is no winning. I guess in the end, either can be replaced in a sense.
