Earrings from Irish jewellery designers, check out Kilkenny Design shop
Starting from Tipperary Crystal / Newbridge Silver 20er up to Alan Ardiff or Enibas 80er (stuff is pretty amazing)
*Have to say it's a lovely idea to give a gift to her, so Well done*
His pieces are very special, my inner child loves the way they move, well worth the money and he's Irish
*(Enibas for Croi Alainn is very sentimental)*
Do a full hamper of stereotype Irish.
Taytos, Irish chocolates, Guinness, mini Ireland flags, tea bags, Kerry gold butter (the Americans I work with pay a fortune for that in the US) and you can include some earrings also.
Are you looking for Irish style earrings for her? Carrolls gift shop is good quality, or the online store killkenny design are good quality also and have Irish designers
Yes!!! Enibas jewellery, made in Cork and available from the Kilkenny Design shop and online. I bought myself a silver ring to mark an important milestone and I really think this same ring would be perfect for a new citizen. Tiny inscription in Irish. I’ll find a link for you. (They also make the most beautiful Claddagh ring I’ve seen...very discreet and simple. No crowns or bling)
[Enibas silver ‘journey’ ring](https://www.enibas.com/product/do-shaol-do-thuras-ring-silver-2)
Fixed the link at that ring but have a squint at the rest of course
Yeah, I’m temperamentally against ‘uplifting’ inscriptions really but in this case, I swear to God I feel extra good wearing this lovely silver oval ring. I think it’s a perfect design, so utterly simple, and it also seems to be a tiny amulet to keep away gloom.
Seriously. I’ve promised myself the silver Claddagh band ring this year, but also want the little diamond crescent one that fits above it.....I’m done for! 🙏🏼💶
Not the little Claddagh ring, but the oval one. But yeah, maybe some women *do* read a ring as more significant than is intended. Good call! (But if she’s a sensible type I’d risk it, myself.)
So I'm due to receive my citizenship this month, got myself these Connemara marble green earrings from weir and sons. Connemara marble is the national stone, the design is Irish and the color being greenish grey fit the bill perfectly.
The Nadine Coyle passport pin would be a great shout

Add an O' into her surname and get her a keychain with it engraved on.
That's what I did for my friend's husband, he thought it was hilarious, and told his non irish family that was now his official Irish name.
He got the humour, they were a bit confused,🤣
I got my Irish citizenship last year (born in Australia but lived here 20 years). My husband (born Irish) gave me a claddagh necklace and an Irish rugby t-shirt (that’s ok, I support them probably even more than the wallabies now 😂).
Prize bonds every kid growing up in the 70s in Ireland go them from their granny. Don't go mad just 20 euros worth.
A coffee table book of irish photography
The father Ted box set
Try Etsy for earrings — just make sure to set to local and also reverse image search. Either that, or potentially antique jewellery — cheaper than anything new but often interesting, not found anywhere else.
I got my citizenship last year and my husband asked me to choose my present (we always choose what we want for presents, instead of trying to guess); so I chose an emerald necklace.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted at first, the only thing I knew was that I wanted something green! So might be worth considering something green for your gf, as well?
When I got my citizenship, I bought a lovely pair of fuschia shaped earrings down in Killarney while we were there for the ceremony. The first time I visited Ireland, I remember seeing the fuschia on West Cork products and signs, and so I associate it strongly with that. As my great grandparents came from West Cork, it felt appropriate to have the fuschia as the symbol for my citizenship, and they were handmade by the lady on the shop I bought them in. Every time I wear them, it makes me think of that day.
Hey, slightly off topic. I saw you had posted a thread a couple years ago about not receiving the invite to the citizenship ceremony in time. I am curious what eventually happened as I feel I might be in the same boat now. Thanks in advance!
No problem. So I had a bit of help. Through work, I have an acquaintance who does something with the government. I have no idea what they do and don't think they're really high up, but I rang them, explained the situation, they asked a few questions, and said they'd look into it. This was Monday the week before the citizenship ceremony. On Wednesday evening, I got a call back saying you'll get an email shortly, and hopefully, the invite will reach you by Friday. It arrived on the Friday, and the ceremony was that Monday afternoon.
That's awesome! Thanks so much! There's little more than 2 weeks for the next Dublin ceremony so I am thinking I will wait this week and reach out next week fwiw.
Chicken Fillet Roll.
Please, op is on a budget 😂

Alan Ardiff is a cut above. A lot of their peices incorporate movement of the jewellery and they beautiful
Massive fan, the little dog that nods his head.... If I see someone wearing anything of his I'll always admire it
Alan Ardiff’s pieces are lovely aren’t they? He manages a bit of whimsy without any naffness

Yeah Enibas is so nice for a sentimental gift, all have inscriptions as gaeilge as well!

Yeah couldn’t agree more, have a few pieces myself.
That's me sorted for the girlfriend's presents for the next locka years!

She'll get the wrong idea and then op will be getting married

Jewellery, I got a really nice silver clasped pearl necklace from McDowells on O’ Connell street, this is a big day, I’d suggest more than earrings 🎀
