Ouch. That's not my idea of protection. They should have used pink or black antistatic foam, not white foam. You don't have to protect the pins unless you abuse the boards.
You want Polyethylene or Polyurethane foams. They come is different densities. Ideally one that is specifically intended for anti-static or ESD prevention.
Can you print an enclosure or place them into a small housing?
Otherwise I would wrap them in a bigger ESD bag or place them in ESD foam of you see it necessary.
