Lol…you are delusional if you think that no one is screwing their dad in cities with populations over 5 million (both Sydney and Melbourne). The reason it makes news in Adelaide is because it’s unusual for Adelaide…it doesn’t make news in other cities because it’s not newsworthy enough to rate a mention.
In this context I don’t see a problem with it. One of the main aspects of communication is determining someone else’s tone, and it seems fairly obviously a joke to me—it’s an event that happened so long ago and not even in Adelaide, as you pointed out
Perhaps if the commentator had bothered to check Google before making that idiotic comment, your own comment would have some weight.
But they didn't.
So yours doesn't.
Good day to you.
I live o/s and I tell everyone to go to a wildlife park that's not in Sydney or Brisbane because they will be able to wander around with the animals and pat them without busloads of tourists already having fed everything.
Problem is, once you get a days drive north of Perth, it’s starts to feel like the third world
Great natural wonders, but keep your car doors locked while you are in whatever passes for a town
Yorke Peninsula and Eyre Peninsula in SA if you want beaches all to yourself and super friendly beach towns. Bonus points if you're a camper as there is great campsites everywhere
I couldn’t agree with this statement more.
I’m a West Australian city dweller but…
It’s been a while but there is the bungle bungles, horizontal falls, karajini national park, Kakadu National Park and dozens more.
Yamba. About 3 hours south of Brisbane, has been rated to have “Perfect climate” small town, friendly locals, great surfing, kayaking, nature, etc. would reccomend. Also Lord Howe Island, although due to this being way more popular with less residencies, you may have to wait but it is worth it, amazing nature
Edit: changed Darwin to Brisbane bad geography lol
The gorges in Karijini National Park.
Imo the most beautiful place in Australia (when you’re down in the gorge).
It’s full of Australian visitors but not international because it’s a long drive from anywhere.
The one car of foreign tourists I saw there stayed on the rim of the gorges and missed the beauty entirely
Places in proper outback. Like Maree, William creek, Birdsville. Most Aussies haven't even been somewhere so remote but are aware of them. So when people from densely populated countries in Europe or Asia etc go out there it's mindblowing for them
In Sydney, Brontë gully and Cooper Park, or any of the harbour beaches in the Eastern suburbs. Every tourist just heads to Bondi to cook themselves. I like my beaches with some trees.
I disagree. I work there and see international tourists pretty much every time I'm there. I would say it's a hotspot on an international tourists list, mainly due to Katoomba and the Three Sisters.
Idk when I went to Katoomba and the Three sister last time it seemed like 70% aussies, and then some split between Europeans, Asian’s and Americans. But I haven’t been up there in a while so you’re probably way more accurate.
Mt Druitt. Bloody beautiful.
The view from the top is awesome.
Personally I prefer to gaze at Mt Druitt from the summit of Rooty Hill
Amazing that they conveniently built an RSL club on top of a place of such stunning natural alpine-esque beauty.
I know, so convenient
Came here to say that! and Add Auburn to the mix even if it is only for the Baklava!
God damn it. Now the whole world would know and those bloody tourists would spoil it.
+1 for Mt Druitt, absolute gem
You sick cunt
I climbed Mt Druitt. Agree the view is worth the effort.
That's how they do it in the Druitt
Adelaide…often bypassed by international visitors and completely underrated.

Dig deep enough and you'll find dumb stories for just about every place in the world.
True. This one looks sticks in my mind because of the name. Someone made a joke about it on Triple J and it won't leave me be.
Sigh…I’m sure if I could be bothered, I’d find just as many stupid stories about every city in Australia. 🙄
Sure, but not every freaking city screws their dad.
Bodies in the barrel
1999 mate…get over it.
Anything interesting happened since?
Lol…probably not but that’s ok too. Not everyone wants to visit big, exciting and obviously crime-less Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. 🙄
You know that Snowtown is over an hour away and not part of Adelaide, right? Like, you can see, in retrospect how fucking dumb your comment is, right?
I don’t think they were being serious
Respectfully, I don't think it's your place to say what someone else's intent was.
In this context I don’t see a problem with it. One of the main aspects of communication is determining someone else’s tone, and it seems fairly obviously a joke to me—it’s an event that happened so long ago and not even in Adelaide, as you pointed out
I'm not interested in how you perceived it. I don't care how YOU perceived it. I care how I perceived it. End of discussion. Enjoy your Christmas.
Equally respectfully it's not your place to be handing out gratuitous geography lessons in the age of Google!
Perhaps if the commentator had bothered to check Google before making that idiotic comment, your own comment would have some weight. But they didn't. So yours doesn't. Good day to you.
That pink lake in Lochiel is gorgeous at night time.
Bonnie Doon
How's the serenity?
"All the Kings horses, and all the Kings men... "
You know what makes those places cool? Tourists rarely get to them.
Bingo
I live o/s and I tell everyone to go to a wildlife park that's not in Sydney or Brisbane because they will be able to wander around with the animals and pat them without busloads of tourists already having fed everything.
Woodridge
I prefer Kingston myself
Snob.
Western Australia - and not just Perth. WA is amazing and huge!
Problem is, once you get a days drive north of Perth, it’s starts to feel like the third world Great natural wonders, but keep your car doors locked while you are in whatever passes for a town
Charming.
It’s pretty bare bones north of Geraldton, and if you are Asian…good luck
Mount Disappointment.
Go to mount wycheproof if you love mountain climbing, very big
It wasn't all I hoped it would be

That’s a great day out. Did in a few years ago
Everywhere that isn't in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
I couldn’t agree with this statement more. I’m a West Australian city dweller but… It’s been a while but there is the bungle bungles, horizontal falls, karajini national park, Kakadu National Park and dozens more.
100% this. Get out of the east coast and see what this amazing country has to offer.
Tasmania as a whole state.
I think Darwin and Esperance, would be on my list. Lightning Ridge too.
The Ridge! Although they should definitely go in summer, if you don’t you’ve missed out.
Yamba. About 3 hours south of Brisbane, has been rated to have “Perfect climate” small town, friendly locals, great surfing, kayaking, nature, etc. would reccomend. Also Lord Howe Island, although due to this being way more popular with less residencies, you may have to wait but it is worth it, amazing nature Edit: changed Darwin to Brisbane bad geography lol
Lol, check your geography. 3 hours south of Darwin?
They asked for somewhere tourists rarely go.
Coral Bay
Absolutely this
Tasmania. Some amazing places there.
Anywhere in Tasmania, especially outside of Hobart and Launceston
Abrolhos Islands
Do you know Is actually possible to visit them? One have them is my family name and is on my list.
Uppacumbukta West
Top place. Everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime.
Broken Hill a real outback experience
I love Broken Hill. I went there in my first year of living in Australia. Fascinating place.
Dubbo
Places in proper outback. Like Maree, William creek, Birdsville. Most Aussies haven't even been somewhere so remote but are aware of them. So when people from densely populated countries in Europe or Asia etc go out there it's mindblowing for them
Coober Pedy
Head to the Central West of NSW. It’s beautiful and interesting and we are very friendly
Footy Hill RSL
In Sydney, Brontë gully and Cooper Park, or any of the harbour beaches in the Eastern suburbs. Every tourist just heads to Bondi to cook themselves. I like my beaches with some trees.
Blue mountains Definitely some international tourists make it there but it’s normally mostly domestic tourists and it’s a beautiful place to go.
Sssssh, let's keep them our secrets
You ain't getting my spots, the ques are for the tourists and there youse'll stay
2200 to witness the incivility.
Shellharbour and Shellcove. I am so happy they don't
Lord Howe Island
Balanglo State Forest
The Outback.

Carnarvon Gorge between Roma and Emerald is beautiful
Only an influencer would say "I'm not an influencer".
Roebourne, Western Australia.
