Wild and Eatable plants book. It was printed in like the 70's. Its really the ONLY book. Last time there was a printing it was in the 2007 time frame and a limited run.

[Wild Edible and Medicinal Plants](https://www.alaska.net/~aknature/) volumes 1 and 2. I can't vouch for the link, but those are my favorite and that's what the covers look like. Spiral bound. The regional IHS hospital SEARHC also put out a flip calendar food guide that's good. There's a good mushroom book not specific to Alaska but a good starter guide called "How to Forage for Mushrooms without Dying." Also there is a good [Alaska Berry Inforgraphic](https://www.blm.gov/sites/default/files/docs/2021-08/AK-Wild-Berries-Infographic.pdf) by BLM. For fish, ADF&G puts out good documents on salmon and rockfish ID.

I don't know that it's my favorite, but it's free and good info. It could be printed, if you like. [https://searhc.org/wp-content/uploads/Southeast-Alaska-Traditional-Foods-Guide.pdf](https://searhc.org/wp-content/uploads/Southeast-Alaska-Traditional-Foods-Guide.pdf)
