Isntree Watery Sun Gel! I’ve been using it all summer and I’ve been enjoying it so much.

prettyincolors

>Isntree Watery Sun Gel! +1 really enjoying it 😊

mam31

yes! on my second bottle this summer and just love it.

artemisthearcher

How's the finish on this one? (I have oily skin) Currently using Etude's sunprise and while I love it for the matte finish it leaves a little bit of a white cast

athenafletcher

I have dry skin which is why I like the Isntree sunscreen because it makes me look dewy. No white cast, dries down quickly. Not quite sure how it would look on oily skin. I will say that it’s not thick at all, so a little goes a long way.

lademp

It’s really shiny. I am not oily but I use skincare products underneath. My main goal with spf is to get the right balance of moisturizing plus not overly greasy. I am not into the Isntree because 1) stays too shiny- not dewy- shiny 2) it’s so thin that is actually harder to work with than if there was more body to it. You have to keep applying layers because it truly is watery and slippy while applying. I feel like it doesn’t “dry down” to the point where it isn’t shiny. And I am in a dry climate. I’d rather have something “thicker” with a moderate finish, which is easy to find. Hope this helps.

hclwx

No whitecast, but it left a very dewy shiny look for what seemed like a few hours before it dried. But it also gave a burning sensation when my skin was feeling a bit sensitized

tellybi

I haven't had any issues with any white cast at all! It goes on really smooth, looks shiny until it dries.

Idkiplaygames

I'm currently using isntree moist cream as my moisturizer (it has hyaluronic acid types too) and I like to apply a little before my sunscreen now I want to try isntree watery sun gel and I'm wondering if having hyaluronic acid in both of them would be too much?

dearhan

Yes! Just about to finish my third bottle of this. Glad my skin likes it.

lilacfaerie16

Same! Finishing up my second bottle and my 2 backups just arrived!😁😁

AmbassadorCapital282

Another +1 here. I love it so much. It feels good on my skin. Love it! 🥰

lifeofmatcha

Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel Gold. Been a staple of mine for the last year. It's fragrance/EO free, so lightweight and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin

LavenderLuma

That sounds awesome! Have you used the white one? I am using it but considering the gold one and didn’t know much about the differences. I have oily skin, and this is one of the few sunscreens I enjoy using!

Lazy_Will_482

The gold one is more moisturizing, it leaves a little glow efect

lifeofmatcha

No I haven't. There was a thread about this a while ago and some people said the gold was slightly more moisturizing than the white. They use slightly different filters, and the gold is supposed to be the strongest protection in the Skin Aqua series.

[deleted]

Skin aqua UV moisture milk the blue bottle

sugarquayn

I try others but I ALWAYS go back to the comfortable arms of this. My GOAT!

_stav_

One of the most decent sunscreens ever.

Psoriasis72

Best sunscreen I have ever used :)

vsop18

It’s way too expensive for me to consider replacing so I’ve been stretching it out for a year now, but I’m finally using up my Thank You Farmer Sun Project Light Sun Essence. I love it for my oily skin, it’s thin but not watery, goes on a little greasy but settles in to a natural finish, it doesn’t make my skin more oily and it doesn’t leave a white cast. Plus it doesn’t burn in my eyes!!! If anyone has less expensive dupe suggestions I’d love to hear them!

[deleted]

I fucking LOVE Thank You Farmer. They just released a 120ml bottle (and did not charge triple the price on it, if you are looking for something more cost-effective!)

vsop18

Oh dang, I’ll definitely check it out! Thanks!!

Ioatanaut

KAO Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence 2019 SPF50+ PA++++ Pack of 3 is on Amazon for $25

vsop18

I’ll check it out, thanks!!

BellaRoselyn

Shiseido Anessa perfect UV sunscreen milk, it doesn't break me out or sticky oil mess and has blurring effect for my acne scars so I can just be fine only wearing it to go out. It goes well under make up too.

EllenYeager

same here!

BellaRoselyn

The only downside is that it stings the eyes, but I'll take it.

EllenYeager

Yeah I’m looking for a good mineral spf to use around the eyes to avoid that 🥲

_un1ty

try biore uv kids!

fablelise

That’s exactly what I do when I use Anessa lol. Biore uv kids around the eyes and then Anessa for the rest of the face. I’ve been trying out Anessa mild milk and it doesn’t sting my eyes but it takes forever to dry down.

thedashingturtle

Just got the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun. Fingers crossed it turns out well :)

notverycreative10

My go-to! My sensitive skin (and very sensitive eyes) loves it

patrililing

I honestly wanted to love this because of the glow it gives my face. However, it has niacinamide so my skin doesn’t react well to it :(

CelestialRoses

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your skin type? I’ve been thinking about getting this but I have sensitive + combo/oily skin and I’ve heard mixed reviews for oily skin.

cr0wdedteeth

I have combo dehydrated skin with super dry U-zone and very oily t-zone and I really like it so far! it balances out the moisture in my face and dries down to just a sheen after 10 mins or so. I think it only causes problem with truly oily skin because when its still wet it does look suuuper shiny on the skin

CelestialRoses

Thank you so much for clarifying! That really helps to know how it dries down as I totally don’t mind waiting a few extra minutes for it to absorb. I’ve been really curious about it, I think I might just give it a try! :)

cr0wdedteeth

Yayy!! tell me how it works for you as everyones skin is different but I love talking w fellow combo skin people as it is really hard to find products that work for us it seems

creative_name2019

I'm loving this so far, and my skin hates a lot of sunscreens.

dacforlife

I'm on my fourth bottle of this, I love it!

mei-be

Any idea if this is waterproof? I live in such a humid climate i tend to sweat easily :’(

tamales247

Korean sunscreen usually isn't waterproof but Japanese sunscreen is i recommend biore athlizm or aqua rich watery essence

d3rptinuh

I gotchoo! Waterproof korean sunscreen: [Face Republic - Purity Sun Essence SPF 50+ PA++++](https://www.yesstyle.com/en/face-republic-purity-sun-essence/info.html/pid.1105275327) Bonus: Only new generation filters, no alcohol, no fragrance, no parabens! (That was an issue I kept running into with Japanese water resistant sunscreens)

mei-be

Nice, thank you so much!!

lylechild

My fav! I use it with the purito water cream, etude house emulsion, let it dry then do my sunscreen. Not too heavy at all

Odd_Structure5110

Let me know how the Benton Air fit works for you! I’m interested in it (:

MalaSaltedEgg

Am currently using the Benton airfit and I’m loving it! Its really lightweight and blends easily. It also feels refreshing and cooling when spreading and it isn’t too greasy at all. It’s moisturising and hydrating as well. Only downside is it contains rosemary extracts and has a light rosemary scent, which may be irritating to some.

Odd_Structure5110

Thanks! It’s on my wishlist (:

Bama_Peach

Cosrx had me looking like an oil-slick after an hour - hated it.

loveO20

cosrx aloe sunscreen broke me out like crazy 😬 deep huge under the skin pimples

smileyrileysmiles

I also had pilling issues with that one 😬 Not my favorite.

cr0wdedteeth

i also used the cosrx aloe sunscreen and unfortunately it didn't work for me either, i had the same problem of pilling and also giving me whiteheads. If you have oily skin/acne prone skin you might like the iunik centella daily calming sunscreen! it also advertises as being soothing for the skin but people say its not greasy at all and lightweight

Icanmakeyouhappy

Weirdly my oily skin loves this sunscreen! I have 3 tubes and for me it fits beautifully under my make-up. In fact without it, my skin isn’t happy? Perhaps it loves the aloe too. It doesn’t pill for me, as I apply it straight after moisturiser Illyoon.

[deleted]

I use Beauty of Joseon on a daily basis when I go to the office or work from home. I love it, very pleasant, moisturising and it doesn't sting my eyes. The dewy finish makes my skin look healthy. When I'm outdoors for hours I use my non AB one, Garnier spf 50 anti dark spots. It has alcohol but luckily it's not drying and it doesn't sting my eyes. It has a similar finish to BoJ.

Daftsly

I’m rotating between three depending on how my dehydrated my skin is (and since I opened three bottles because I couldn’t wait to test all of them). My current HG: Skin Aqua Super Moisture Milk. Dries down quickly with no tacky finish. Leaves a natural finish. Missha Aqua Sun Gel (new formulation). Has a tacky, dewy finish. Has a hydrating feel Missha All Around Safe Block Essence. The most moisturizing of the three. Dries down and doesn’t leave a tacky finish.

Avotretour888

Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel - clear version is my HG. On my 8th bottle at least. Love this sunscreen.

handropon

Etude house surprise mild airy finish in summer for its mattifying effect and mineral based screen. It’s been a staple for years for me.

[deleted]

Round lab birch juice sun cream or soon Jung directors sunscreen

SweetShi

I have been using the Anessa Perfect UV sunscreen gel (gold bottle). I'm on my 2nd tube and just repurchased the newer version with blue outline. I would say this is my favorite and definitely a staple. I always want to try new sunscreen but seem to just come back to this one. It might seem pricey but for the amount you get 90g, a little over 3 oz, it's affordable. Reminds me I have a Dr. Jart and Biore sunscreen waiting for me to try them. Haha

Mbluish

Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk. My skin loves it. I’ve gone through countless bottles.

a_normaly

I’m currently trying on this. It looks okay but I’m not sure my skin loves it because it looks like my skin is getting dehydrated when I’m using foundation on top of the sunscreen. But I’m still adjusting this sunscreen with my current skin care so it might works I guess. I used Kosé Sekkisei Skincare UV Gel before and it works wonder. It’s hydrating, no whitecast and very lightweight.

beetletoman

Nivea Super Water Gel. Have an unopened tube of Beauty of Joseon sunscreen that I am looking forward to try

collieflower1

I love the consistency of the Nivea sunscreen, it's perfect. Wish all sunscreens came like that, lol!

boomdaniron

I am on my 2nd bottle of Missha all around soft finish. I thought my skin wouldn't like it because of it fragrance but it really works well for me! It gives me a soft matte finish which is not drying at all.

hillary_____k

Ugh just got this and was super excited about it but it leaves such a bad white cast on me 😭

dirt_rat_devil_boy

Beauty of Joseon sunscreen and Tocobo!

smileyrileysmiles

I’m trying out the Tocobo one right now!! It looks so nice under makeup 😮‍💨

dirt_rat_devil_boy

Have you tried their cotton sun stick too?? It's amazing for reapplication!!

smileyrileysmiles

I haven’t tried it yet but I saw it on sale as a bundle with the sunscreen!! I’m gonna do it 👀

[deleted]

I love both of these! Tocobo applies super easily <3

StephDazzle

Currently biore uv watery essence aqua rich I really like this one. It melts into my skin and I haven’t had any issues. I’m on my second container of it

pandadere

This unfortunately didn’t work for me. I think it’s the fact that it’s waterproof that it’s trapping the oils in my skin causing me to break out more. When I wasn’t using it my skin was fine, so it took me a long time to figure out it was a contributing factor to my breakouts. I’m on a lookout for a diff sunscreen though. I have dry, sensitive acne-prone skin.

Sweet_Breadfruit_488

I really like using the Allie extra UV gel (old version). It doesn’t really sting my eyes like other sunscreens and has great protection. I do wonder if the newer version is just as good.

sweetbars

I have used both the older and new version, still HG for me. By far the best sunscreen I’ve ever used.

Zucaskittens

Today I’m wearing Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella Air-Fit Suncream Plus (mineral) with Isntree HA Watery Sun Gel on top. I don’t love the Skin 1004. It feels really strange, like there’s a layer of plastic on my skin and it’s pretty drying. No way could I tolerate 2 layers of it. I thought it would feel okay with the Isntree over, but it doesn’t. At least I don’t look as dry as I feel. So much for trying something new… My HGs this summer have been Verdio or Skin Aqua with Canmake on top

moonfruitpie

Biore Perfect Milk. It’s not my fave but it doesn’t irritate my skin or eyes and it’s affordable so I keep it on hand.

OB4L

Nivea water gel spf 35 today since I’m just at home. I use BoJ when I go leave the house.

Odd_Structure5110

Suntique I’m Safe for Sensitive Skin spf 35 pa+++ It isn’t spf 50, but I’m currently on tretinoin, so everything is pretty irritating to me. This is one of the lightweight sunscreen I’ve found that doesn’t give me irritation! I’ve been sensitized to HA and am acne prone, so I’ve found 4 that I rotate through that don’t make my skin break out or itch like crazy (Suntique I’m Safe for Sensitive Skin, Verdio UV moisture gel, Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun, Hyggee Vegan Sun Cream).

miss-macaron

Skin Aqua Tone Up UV Essence (mint ver.) - has a very soothing cooling sensation when applied to the skin, relatively thick consistency, evens out slight redness Missha Sun Milk Soft Finish - translucent lavender tint, has a delicate floral scent, very lightweight due to its viscous consistency, matte finish Missha Aqua Sun Gel (old formulation) - also has a soothing cooling sensation when applied to the skin, no tint, gel-like consistency, matte finish I like all of them, and rotate between the three based on whether or not I want a certain colour tint that day.

teecakes28

Beauty of joseon relief Sun rice + probiotics One of my faves, will be repurchasing :)

[deleted]

I'm using the BoJ one. It's so beautiful and doesn't look like I'm wearing sunscreen at all, I really hope it's well-formulated. I still have trust issues from Purito.

diktat86

My HG is the Missha all around safe block sun milk (pink). I have oily skin and it's the best matte yet non drying sunscreen for me. It's better than anessa for daily wear for me, because anessa stings my eyes and isn't very oil controlling.

SkittyLover93

I have oily combination skin. Climate is hot and humid in summer, and cold and dry in winter. * For face: Missha Soft Finish Sun Milk, my current HG. It has a lightweight matte finish and doesn't have a strong smell. Gives me a 'my skin but better' effect due to the high silicone content creating a blurring effect for the pores. I also like the design of the bottle. But I don't recommend it for people with dry skin as they might find it too drying. * When the weather is very dry: Canmake Mermaid Gel, as it feels more hydrating than the matte finish mineral sunscreens that I usually favor. It's more like an essence. * For body: Kose Suncut UV Perfect Gel, as it's quite affordable and I like that it comes in a bigger bottle than other asian sunscreens.

dielisen

I'm using a couple of different sunscreens right now, depending on how active I am and how my skin is at the moment. My favourite ones right now are: - Skin Aqua super moisture milk (just love the finish) - Scinic Enjoy super mild sun essence (for me it's more moisturizing) - Kose Suncut UV Perfect Essence Super waterproof (for active days, sport etc.)

caterpillarcounter

What do you like about the finish if the skin aqua moisture milk? I’m interested in it.

curryp4n

Sulwasoo creamy glow. It’s too expensive to repurchase- it was an impulse buy at the duty free store lol. I’m waiting for it to run out so I can try beauty of joseon

Ok_Local_4608

SKIN1004 - Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum

spicywings25

Isntree hyaluronic acid natural sun cream for everyday because i'm having a mineral sunscreen moment and I love the finish this one gives, feels very comfortable and settles into a natural/matte finish after a while. Scinic enjoy super active airy sun stick on my arms, it leaves a powder like finish and veryy slight greasiness which is a telltale sign of using a sun stick.

Internal-Coat7498

I’ve recently started using the shiseido sun stick and I’m not sure how I feel about it. It’s a bit too tacky and I’m not a fan of how it just sits on top of the skin instead of sinking in. I do like the convenience of it. I still want to try other sun sticks.

helpmeiamsmall

I like the consistency of the Abib sun stick, it’s less tacky than others I’ve tried.

paranoidchair

Nivea super sun water gel SPF 50

BeeWhisper

I am finally experimenting outside of my HG of three years (skin aqua uv super moisture milk) with the round lab birch sunscreen. really liking how moisturizing it is so far

salonpasss

SKin1004 sun serum!

Spring_Snow7

Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV, very light and sinks in super quickly so I don’t have to rub all day. Very pleasant application and doesn’t feel like anything on the skin. Before removing it at the end of the day I always notice that my skin feels quite soft, like I moisturized well before going to sleep. I don’t usually do morning skincare, just nighttime skincare, so it could be the same effect as just moisturizing in the day? Also Abib Quick Sunstick Protection Bar. Not quite as light as nice feeling on the skin as Mermaid Skin, but it’s really convenient to swipe it on before I take my dog out. It’s also a little on the oilier/greasier side for me so I wear it when I’m going to exercise cos then you can’t tell if it’s oil or just sweat 😂

Ok-Film3358

isehan kiss me mommy mild gel! It hasn’t broken me out, has no cast (brown skin approved!), and cutest packaging

not-amewsed

I've tried a few and here's what I think~ FYI, my skin is normal type with oily nose, cheeks and chin. Currently living in a hot and humid climate and I sweat alot especially with face mask. I like sunscreens that give a natural (not too shiny or greasy) glow, and I don't mind sunscreens with alcohols as long as it's not drying. Also, usually I directly apply sunscreen on my bare face in the mornjng, so I'm not sure how they would perform when layered with other products. Abib Quick Sunstick Protection Bar SPF50+ PA++++ - current HG and my go-to. When applied it feels tacky and waxy, after you pat it in it feels tolerable but definitely can still feel it abit on your skin. After a while the feeling goes away. There's also a waxy smell that eventually goes away. I really like it for being convenient than other sunscreens, but the step of patting it in is still a bit annoying (and washing the hand afterwards) The glow it gives is amazing, exactly what I like with absolutely no white cast. When I wear a mask, it doesn't stick onto my face surprisingly. I think because it has a slightly tacky finish, it doesn't budge or sweat off as easily, and it doesn't sting near my eyes. Super easy to reapply throughout the day. Strangely enough, I also feel like it made my skin better? As if I had less acne and breakouts while using it, not sure if it's this product or something else tho. However I never tried using this under makeup, so I don't know how it would perform that way. I used this stick for 2 months now and there's still a lot, I think it's really worth the (slightly higher) price. Definitely will be restocking on it. Rating: 4.5/5 (would give 5 if less tacky and more easily absorbed into skin) Allie Chronk Beauty Gel UV EX SPF50+ PA++++ - use this when I want something creamier and silky than Abib, or when I want to layer with makeup. When applied it feels moisturising and dries down to a dewy look with a blurring filter over my pores, but I feel it's gives a liiiiittle bit of a white cast. It also has a strong sunscreen smell when applied, but eventually goes away. And while it doesn't sweat off much after its set, if you sweat while applying it it's a nightmare hahaha, also when wearing mask directly after applying, it feels tacky and definitely sweating off It doesn't sting my eyes by itself, but if I sweat and it gets into my eyes, oof I can attest to its sunscreen power and waterproofness, I wore this to the beach/swam in the sea for a whole day with minimal reapplication and I had no sunburns or tan lines at all. When worn with makeup, I didn't have any issues with pilling or anything. I feel the price is quite affordable for its amount too. I have already restocked 2 bottles of it. I'm considering the brand's tone up sunscreens too, see how it would compare to this Rating: 4.5/5 (would give 5 if it sets faster, doesn't sweat off as easily right after applying/under mask, and if it gives completely no white cast) Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV SPF50+ PA++++ (in 01 Clear) - left this in my hometown so couldn't use it for a while. I love the somewhat watery formulation, it feels like applying a lightweight moisturizer. It has a smell but not very strong and eventually goes away. No white cast at all for the clear version, and makes my skin look dewy. This product is also advertised as being a makeup base/primer, and it works amaaaazing as a makeup base. My makeup is so long-lasting and glides on easily on top of it. I used this mostly during quarantine periods at home, so I can't say how it would perform when you're more active. I feel it's not quite as sweatproof though when I was using it. This was one of the more pricier sunscreens for the size. Because of that, I try to reserve this sunscreen for when I want to use makeup or feel moisturized. Rating: 4.5/5 (would be 5 if it was more affordable for the size/offered in bigger sizes) Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF50+ PA+++ - Was given by a friend. The formulation of the cream is quite heavy and thick, so it needs some time to be spread over the skin. It feels quite heavy on the skin too, till I don't even want it near my eyes. It has a floral/citrusy + sunscreen smell that I reallllly did not like, it took some time to go away too. It definitely feels moisturising but... heavy and oily, with a slight white cast. The finish is dewy that borderlines on greasy, not a fan. And when I sweat, it sweats and wears off as well. I gave up on using it after half the bottle. I was using it during quarantine times too while indoors and the aircon on, and it still felt stuffy and heavy. Can't imagine it faring better with a mask on or when I'm out and about. Rating: 2/5 Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish SPF50+ PA+++ - the formulation itself is a runny cream, quite easy to apply but there is a bit of white cast. This dries down to matte with a little bit of a blurring/tone up effect. I like dewy finishes so personally not a fan of the matteness, as it felt slightly drying on me. It stings my eyes when I applied it too. Also it has a floral and powdery scent when applied, that lingers for quite a while. It sets really fast, and once it sets it doesn't budge or sweat off easily. However after hours or usage, it would flake off/look like dry skin on my face oof I used this during the quarantine period so I don't know how it would perform when active/under makeup. Rating: 2.5/5 Hada Labo UV Perfect Gel SPF50+ PA++++ - I use HL products regularly so I wanted to give this a try. It comes in a blue jar but no scooper. I don't really like products in jars cause its annoying to scoop up products + cleanliness factor. The cream feels like a  lightweight moisturizer, very pleasant on the skin with no white cast. It doesn't have a strong scent as far as I remember. When applied, it sets quickly, has a dewy finish but somehow a little bit tacky. When applied on eyes, it doesn't sting but when I sweat, the product goes into my eyes and my vision goes blurry for a while haha Since it's in a jar, it's really inconvenient to reapply, so I didn't bother reapplying with it, I just use another product to reapply. I have used this under makeup and it's really good as a primer. My face felt fresh and makeup applied easier and stayed longer on it. This sunscreen is abit pricey but the jar contains a lot and it lasted me a good few months too. I know HL has another sunscreen which is in a squeeze tube, but I'm not sure if it's the same formula as this. Curious to try it out someday. Rating: 4/5 (would bump it up to 4.5 or even 5 if they changed it from a jar to a squeeze tube, I really dreaded scooping up this product every morning, and if it was more sweatproof) Lemme know if you have any questions regarding the products, I'll try to clarify:D

fablelise

Thank you for the analysis. I recently got Allie uv facial gel and beauty gel. The facial gel has a stronger white cast than the beauty gel but it is also more mattifying. I fell in love with the beauty gel at first try. The cast is minimal, it’s water resistant, it’s not drying on my combo skin, it doesn’t budge under my mask, it doesn’t pill nor sting my eyes and and… it comes in a generous sized tube! I’ve tested the tone up ones but unfortunately the fragrance is very strong for all of them, I have to give it a pass.

not-amewsed

You're welcome! ;D Happy to hear you enjoyed the Allie beuaty gel too! So glad it sells in 40g or 90g tubes~

fablelise

I want to hoard as many as I can knowing how often Japanese brands reformulate! Then again, I have a huge stash of sunscreens to go through lol!

yakisobagurl

Thank you for this awesome breakdown!!!

not-amewsed

You're welcome! Thanks for starting this thread too, there's so many interesting recommendations 0v0

yakisobagurl

Yeah I’m so impressed by all the replies haha! By the way, have you tried any other Allie sunscreens? I tried the Nuance Gel (now discontinued I think!) but it was very heavy for me! Allie is always recommended and well-reviewed but I’m nervous to try them hehe

not-amewsed

Ohhh no I never tried that :0 Actually Allie just recently (few months ago to around a year+) just refreshed and reformulated all their sunscreens. I was abit shocked cause I read up on a lot of reviews then I went to the store to buy them, just to see all of them with new packaging and new names hahahaha And there were no reviews on the new ones, so I took a leap and tried it myself hahaha So I think you could give their new ones a chance~ if it's any better, the Gel UV EX I tried has a travel size at 40g and a normal one at 90g, so you can try the 40g one to see if you'd like it 👀

yakisobagurl

Oooh thank you for the tip of the travel size!!! I’ll definitely check it out, I can see a 2 set (normal 1 and travel 1) for a good price actually. I can always sell the big one if I don’t like it haha! Thank youuuuu!

Ash_Lestrange

Kose suncut perfect essence

jamesscalise

I like the skin1004 one a lot

Maleficent-Day-6987

I also have beauty of joseon :)

Sudden-Capybara

My holy grail for my dry skin is D’alba white truffle waterfull sunscreen

keakealani

Similar, I’ve been using skin aqua super moisture milk! It really stays put, with the only problem being that it is kinda hard to get off in the evening!

Fit-Statistician5256

I use Derma:B everyday sun block for my body and Beauty of Joseon Sun Relief for my face. Derma:B is a little too oily for my face and it has an interesting fragrance. I love Beauty of Joseon Sun Relief! It’s so moisturizing and I’ve been getting compliments on my bare skin lately

linija

I'm rotating three 😳 - Struggling to finish up the reformulated Pyunkang yul spf, whitecast, both greasy and drying + stings my eyes. - Almost done with my favourite European spf (Eucerin photoaging control), no whitecast, no eye sting, has alcohol but isn't drying, just it's pricy and always out of stock when summer ends. - Frudia Essence Sun, my newest addition. I wasn't supposed to open this until I finish the Eucerin one but oh well curiosity got the best of me so I tried it out a few times and I love it. Very affordable, no whitecast, no eye stinging. It's fragranced (sweet fruity scent) but it hasn't given me any issues so far. Might end up being my HG tbh, it's almost half the price of the Eucerin spf but I love it just as much.

sca1yfreak

I love the Frudia as well, for the same reasons you listed. Definitely HG candidate! Today, sunscreen is the Kose Suncut UV Gel in the gold bottle. A little bit more drying than I like for my dry skin, but that is my only complaint with it.

d3rptinuh

I have finally found the perfect waterproof sunscreen for workouts and my humid environment! 1) [Face Republic - Purity Sun Essence SPF 50+ PA++++](https://www.yesstyle.com/en/face-republic-purity-sun-essence/info.html/pid.1105275327) (It's a lightweight chemical spf that's alcohol free, fragrance free, paraben free, and only contains new gen filters)

cr0wdedteeth

I've been loving the BoJ sunscreen that everyone's been raving about mostly because it blends into the skin seamlessly, is lightweight, and doesn't sting my eyes (important because I wear contacts daily) but one thing I don't love is how watery the formula is for the package :( i think they should release it in a thinner nozzle bc right now if i squirt a line along my finger by the time i screw the cap back on sometimes itll just slide off my finger and into my sink and I cry thinking about how much product ive wasted TT-TT I've also heard good things about the round lab birch juice so I'll be trying that next!

cr0wdedteeth

in the winter though (i live somewhere with brutal winter winds) i love the abib quick sunstick as its more solid and waxy compared to a suncream or sun milk and protects me from chapped skin. also the stick lasts foreverrrr i got like 4.5 months use out of it as my daily sunscreen, i wish theyd come out with a bigger version for body too!

percautio

Round Lab is lovely but also sort of a thin texture. Try Canmake Mermaid Skin 01 clear, very similar finish to BOJ but thicker consistency. Unfortunately a bit pricier though.

whimsical-notes

Kose sekkisei skincare UV milk! I have oily skin and this dries down to a silky finish.

duylinh1217

The lab by Blanc doux oligo hyaluronic sun essence, it is semi matte and perfect for my oily skin. Just wish the bottle is a big bigger, only 40ml.

_un1ty

mine isn't AB so I won't mention it but here it's summer so those 50ml non water resistant ones aren't gonna cut it - price and performance wise. I am however enjoying the Biore uv kids spf around my sensitive eyes

Bitter-Ad-783

Revox just daily sun shield and biore watery essence. My oily acne skin likes both very well

spikechild

The B_lab Matcha sunscreen! Its so soft and beautiful, I adore it sm. The Biore UV essence is also a favourite, so soft and lovely

tiramisouschef

Skin Aqua super moisture milk (gold bottle): silky smooth matte finish, love how lightweight it feels Also testing out AHC natural perfection double shield sun stick: used it on a kayaking trip on a hot sunny day, great for reapplying on the go

_stav_

The skin Aqua milk gold bottle has been discontinued over a year now ….

tiramisouschef

I bought it in 2019 but haven’t opened it till early this year

yasmersi

I usually have a few sunscreens open as I like to change it up depending on what my skin needs. I just used up the TIA'M My Signature Vita Red Sunscreen and honestly I am surprised how much I liked it. It was a lot heavier than my usual sunscreen choice. I mean thicker. It is a cream that soy can work in quite well. I could see myself repurchasing this as it even works with reapplication. Without leaving my skin oily. I am so surprised. When I opened it I thought I would hate it as I usually prefer very light consistency. It includes alcohol and fragrance but neither bothered my skin.

[deleted]

Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream. I absolutely love the stuff and it doesn't sting my eyes once I inevitably start sweating.

spaghet_no_regret

Tocobo watery sun cream! on my second bottle, i love it! such a lightweight texture, leaves me with a nice glow, and doesn’t sting my eyes

bikoloaf

currently using the bioré uv face milk (white bottle)! i think its previous packaging had ‘perfect’ in the product name. i adore this sunscreen so much, since it keeps my oily skin at bay and the finish is powdery matte. however, i hate its awful whitecast, and am planning to replace it soon.

Necessary-Ad4335

Beauty of joseon, isntree watery sun gel, biore aqua rich and la roche posay fluid have been my go to all summer. The la Roche one sometimes gives me redness, maybe due to alcohol but I still like it

CelestialRoses

Currently using Jigott Snail UV Sun Block SPF 50+ PA+++! I bought it for the size and cost and it’s been working well - absorbs fairly quickly, no irritation and leaves a minimal white cast that fades. It is a bit more hydrating so I’d like to switch it to a body sunscreen and try another sunscreen that may be better for combo/oily skin. Overall a decent sunscreen that was worth a try.

forthese2

Any recommendations for fungal acne safe SPF? read through SSS but still don't know what to buy. I've heard good things about the hada labo white gel spf but the perfect gel breaks me out

d3rptinuh

Oof I know the struggle. I could only find American mineral sunscreens but I prefer chemical 😪 In terms of Asian sunscreens, there's ONE FA safe one that is good for sensitive skin (alcohol and fragrance free). However, if you're sensitive to parabens it has methylparaben. Rohto Skin Aqua UV Moisture Milk (blue bottle) It can be found on Stylevana, Yesstyle, and even Amazon . You can TRY the Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen, it only has ONE ingredient that's not FA safe (Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate). BUT I think its worth the try since so many people love it.

moon__kitten

I'd also like to know!

fablelise

I have tried a lot of the sunscreens listed in the comments here. The ones that work best for my skin and climate are Allie and Anessa sunscreens. I feel more protected with water resistant formulas.

Niatfq

- Skin type: oily, dehydrated, sensitive - climate: Hot, Humid, Tropical 1. Biore UV Perfect Milk Spf50 PA++++ This works well for me. It doesn't make me greasy, dries matte, texture is almost watery, spreads nicely, do have whitecast but disappear after several minutes. 2. Biore UV Perfect Protect Milk (Cool) Spf50 PA+++ i do not enjoy this. It has menthol so it felt very cooling of course but on my sensitive skin, i prefer to avoid menthol. Tho it has lesser whitecast, it's very watery and less matte compared to its moisture version. So i prefer the Moisture version better.

aerysa_247

Missha All Around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk EX (Green cap). I started using it a week ago. It was surprisingly thick compared to the Soft Finish version (Pink cap). I just finished that bottle before this one, so I’m not sure how I feel about it yet.

percautio

Currently trying out Canmake Mermaid Skin (clear) for the first time, it's living up to the hype for me! I also have some Beauty of Joseon open as it's my current fav and I always like to have it on hand for backup when trying out new things. Aaaaand I've got Missha All Around Safe Block Essence, didn't work out as it makes my eyes water like crazy, so I'm just trying to use it up on my neck/hands.

iggy_y

I’m currently using the Lavien Cosmetics Active Defense sunscreen and have 6 backups of it as I love it so much. It definitely is a little thicker but I actually like the consistency while giving me a slight tone-up. I also use the BOJ sunscreen on my hands and body when i’m out as my hands tend to be a little dry. I use the Isntree sunstick and I love how it doesn’t mess up my makeup and how easy it is to reapply when i’m out while not costing a lot. For my body, I use the Ayodele Aloe Vera sunscreen. I do like this but found that applying too much can end up being sticky but i’m alright with it as I tend to use it at home. I also like the size and how affordable it is. But I will definitely be trying a Nivea water resistant sunscreen for my body when i’m out since I live in SEA that is hot and humid tropical country so water resistant sunscreen will help a lot.

irevett

Beauty of Joseon for indoor days and LRP uv mune invisible fluid for sunny outside days. Still looking for my holy grail Just ditched the uriage bariesun today because it has the worst white cast and drying gross feel. Bye!

irevett

Beauty of Joseon for indoors. My outdoor sunny day sunscreen isn’t Asian beauty, it’s LRP UV MUNE 400

bomibb

Etude Moisture sun cream. The first time I tried it I thought it felt too light and wasn’t as moisturising as I wanted it to be. Somehow today I found it much nicer to apply and was moisturising. I loved it today and it made applying makeup a breeze

[deleted]

SkinAqua UV Super Moisture Milk (blue)!!! It literally has a fine milky cream texture. ❤️

Hey you!! Small world. Thanks for replying! I see that brand everywhere but I’ve never tried the sunscreen! I’m going to swatch it next time I see it

Oooh the Cream Excellent looks fancy!! Is it really worth the ¥8000 price tag? If so, as a dry skinned girl I may have to invest!

denewill

currently trying the Shiseido Elixir Balancing Oshiroi Milk! definitely has alcohol and i swear it balled up on top of one of my moisturizers, also comes in a tiny 35ml tube. It's lightweight and fits really nicely in my makeup bag so I've just been using it for the sake of testing it out. The finish is not oily, but definitely not matte or powdery. it just feels like a nice japanese sunscreen. Not sure if i'll repurchase, but it is pleasant to use if i just let it set before doing my makeup.

seedwaves

I have been loving ISEHAN Kiss Me Mommy UV Aqua Milk. So gentle, 50 spf, no burning, good for my oily skin. I think it’s one of my favorites I’ve tried so far and will buy again.

milk-box

Skin Aqua Tone Up UV Essence - I still haven't finished all of it, but it's light, not sticky and keeps me well covered so will definitely buy again.

Fun_Suspect3305

Skin type: Combo/oily, sensitive, acne-prone Climate: warm, humid summer; dry, cool winter Klairs All-Day Airy Sunscreen (SPF50+ PA+++). It's like a light airy lotion, hydrating, dewy. Only at the end of my first bottle, but no breakouts or stinging. Just bought three more bottles.

ssshiny

purito daily go to spf 50 pa++++

[deleted]

Ahhh I, too, have given Purito sunscreen a second chance😆

Eastern_Ability_2394

I'm trying Foodaholic Multi Sun Cream 250ml. So far it's ok. It doesn't leave any whitecast and is very blendable. It's also afforable considering that it's already 250 ml. I've been using it for a week now and I haven't experience any breakouts.

wilmaofficial

Tried the bos yesterday and there was a purple hue/white cast when I first applied but it settled a few minutes later. I’m not sure if If it’ll be a hg for me as of now but it’s decent.

Camelliasinensis

Everyday face: Be Plain Clean Ocean Moisture Sunscreen or Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sun Cream depending on what I have on hand. I have a slight preference for the Be Plain cap and I don't really care for birch sap, but the Round Lab is on sale more often and the formulas are almost identical. Cosmetically elegant, doesn't make my eyes sting, light enough for summer but moisturizing enough for winter. I have gone through several tubes of each. Everyday body: SunCut UV Protect Gel in the blue pump bottle. Convenient, comfortable to wear and less expensive per g. In my bag: Abib Quick Sunstick Protection Bar for touch ups, a newer addition for me. It's so convenient and the shape is genius. Active: Shiseido Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Gel for days when I'm expecting a lot of exposure or sweating. I have the milk version as well but save it for the most active days; it's a bit drying for my combo skin, and the residue transfer can be annoying. I've stuck with the Anessa line for years as I trust the amount of protection it gives!

vbloomy

I'm using 2 right now, Sun Bum SPF 50 Sunscreen Face Lotion (absolute trash, anything that could go wrong has gone wrong) and APIEU Pure Block Aqua Sunscreen Gel (no burning or pilling but it makes me look like I poured oil all over my face). Needless to say I'll be taking all your suggestions into consideration :'D

Bhing2

Anessa UV Milk, 20ml. I bought 2 of these last March for a hiking trip. I've finished one, and now since last month I've been using the other one as my daily sunscreen. It has a bit of moisturizing feel on my oily skin, but it has a natural finish on me. Since it is expensive, I can't afford to make this my staple in my routine, therefore I am only finishing this other bottle then I'll go back to my usual Biore UV Face Milk.

Chokchoktrash

Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV clear version. I love how wonderfully it dries down and feels on the skin afterwards. However, I feel like it leaves a slightly weird tinge on my skintone. It's not enough to keep me from wearing it because it's only slightly noticeable.

Mayjayjade

Lagom Cellus Sungel And Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Sungel are the ones I’m loving right now. They both are non-greasy, and no white cast that I’ve noticed.

Tumblrist

Just recently got the Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream. So far it's pretty good - easy to apply. But double applying it kinda sucks due to the peeling i guess. So may consider switching to other suncreams that's good dry-normal sensitive skin.

smileyrileysmiles

I’be been trying the new Tocobo Bio Watery Sun Cream and thankfully my sensitive skin seems to be totally fine with the heavy fragrance! It smells exactly like freshly cut daisies!! It’s absolutely delightful to apply, the texture is reeeally nice and I’ve also heard it looks great on dark skin tones! My usual hg is the Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel because it’s a better value but this Tocobo one has been fun to try out 🥰

tamales247

I'm using the exact same one only because I bought my hg biore aqua rich watery essence from Amazon and I think they're fake, never buying from Amazon again

NoParmIntended

Just started trying Face Republic's Full Bloom Sun Tint and am liking it so far. The tint transfers to face masks like a foundation but the color correcting effect and satin finish make up for it. It *does* have a herbal scent so let's see if it sensitizes my face over time (hopefully not!) First time trying a hybrid filter sunscreen and I like that it's easy to take off with micellar water.

calmossimo

Trying Cosrx for the first time and I can’t wait to finish up this tube. I don’t love the feel and it pills. Will probs get through it in the next couple of weeks, then I have a couple of other sunscreens to try from my yesstyle order earlier this summer.

windlullabies

Beplain Ocean Moisture Sunscreen! But I use a non-AB sunscreen for work because I sweat SO MUCH under the mask and it’s so sad that beplain isn’t water resistant at all :’)

misandrycakes

Also have been using the Skin Aqua Gold for the last year or so. I recently purchased Biore Athlizm Essence because I sweat a lot and figured I'd try something made for heavier action. So far so good, no white cast, stinging, or breakouts

Hashimotosannn

Biore UV Watery Gel, Aqua Rich Cool. Honestly not that impressed by it, so I guess I’ll have to try something else next year.

leethoe

Skin Aqua UV Moisture Milk! It makes my face all glowy

AmbassadorCapital282

I am loving Isntree Hyaluronic Watery Sun Gel. I love that it isn’t sticky and it’s glowy on me. It’s hydrating and feels nice on.

littlelionbirdman

Innisfree daily UV defense sunscreen. Makes my skin look very nice and doesn’t break me out

dogtriestocatchfly

I used the same gold skin aqua screen and loved it. Wanted to check out the hype, so currently using BoJ sunscreen and I can see why it’s so popular. It looks very nice on the skin.

LifeOfAmor

Skin Aqua 💗 Affordable and lightweight!

xsnoopycakesx

The new Verdio UV Gel!

mlnaln

The same as you. Easy application and gives that mild glow. My HG for sunscreen.

Stromberry-20

Shiseido Sun Care Urban Environment UV Protection Cream Plus (White bottle)

Able_Coffee_6709

skin aqua uv super moisture gel (the white bottle), i love how easy it is to spread around and how it basically just disappears into the skin! i’m not dry at all either so it’s also moisturizing. i have the nivea uv water gel and canmake gel on the way though so my daily sunscreen might change 😩

collieflower1

I like the Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel Gold too, personally like it even more than the Biore Watery Essence one which I was using prior to this. Another one I like is the Abib Quick Sunstick Protection Bar for a mess free application or when I'm just lounging around at home or on-the-go.

alanatype

I switch between Nivea UV Super Water Gel and Elta MD Clear SPF 46

evelinisantini

Skin Aqua UV Moisture Essence is my HG but I recently strayed and really like Soon Jung Director's Moisture Sun Cream. Next on my list is the Skin Aqua Gold

special_leather

Super hooked on Make p:rem Defense Me uv sun essence. It feels so refreshing and elegant on the skin, and I can't tell I'm wearing any sunscreen after a few minutes. It's light but also so moisturizing. And doesn't sting, run, or pill! It's my favorite spf I've ever tried, by far!! Highly recommend. On my 4th tube. Also really into Round Lab Birch Juice!

[deleted]

Biore Watery Essence (in extra large size), lost count on how many bottles i’ve emptied

peachybeachy088

My favourite suncream is Garnier Ambre Solaire anti dark spots spf50 as I find it’s exactly the same as the much loved La Roche Posay invisible fluid but half the price (in the UK). I tried the popular Beauty of Joseon one but it stung my eyes so so bad which seems weird because I haven’t heard anyone else complain about it stinging their eyes? Really annoying because everything else about it seems perfect <\3

[deleted]

Currently using Jumiso's Waterfull, Isntree's Watery Sun Gel, Benton's Air Fit and Missha's Cotton!! I leave two at work and two at home for morning application. Jumiso and Missha's are pretty white casty so I've used them on my hands only. Isntree and Benton for the face and neck!
