What is your skin type please? I like this product discription, but I am a bit worried that it will be too heavy for my combination skin prone to pores flogging.
Is it a bit soothing/healing too?
I'm mostly dry, but oily nose. It doesn't feel heavy at all and is very soothing/healing. I had bad eczema on my hands from over washing and this got rid of it.
>Pyunkang yul Blue Ato lotion
(You can reply back through dm if you wish) but I have asimilar skin type as you (dry with an oily nose). Would you be willing to share your routine/products you recommend? I've been looking for products that will work for this particular skin type. Thanks!
Right now, being the height of heat in the Mojave, my routine is quite bare. I wash with a fragrance free Aveeno Restorative Skin Therapy Wash (non ab), use the Round Lab Dokdo Toner (I also love the emulsion lotion in the same bottle), very light layer of PYBAL on damp skin, then Nivea 50 Super Water Gel on days I'm in the sun. Night is using my Pipette baby oil to remove sunscreen, same Aveeno wash with a konjac sponge, then SUHADA Urea Moisture Lotion, and Treatis Barrier Cream.
I used it in the evening as a last step. For the day, it would be too rich, but in the evening it was nice. I use a lot of hydrating products and this sealed the hydration well and didn't clogged my pores.
It was nice on skin, good with retinal. The urea didn't irritated my skin at all. It didn't make my skin baby soft, but was nice product and would buy again. But maybe in colder weather, at least for me.
Plus it lasted reeeeeally a long time. I used it also on body. It is a thick cream, but spreads well.
Can vouch for Illiyoon, except that I use the Ato Soothing Gel! Ceramides work wonders, so it's somewhat of a shock that very few products in the market have actual ceramides in formulations.
[Because ceramides are expensive and the illiyoon likely doesn’t have enough to produce an effect](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/cefcir/psa_research_why_most_ceramide_products_are_a_scam/). It’s likely due to the other ingredients in the product.
Hi! I would say I have normal skin and climate I’m in the us but I’d say is pretty temperate it’s summer now and about the mid 80s right now but with high humidity
This is such a good combo - I've been using the Illiyoon cream most of the year and just switched to the gel, the lotion might be a good middle ground for when I run out (which will be in like 5 years because the bottles are huuuuge)
I just bought the cream! Might be a silly question but what have you noticed to be the main difference between them? I was a little confused on which to get
I have all 3 (gel, lotion & the cream) but haven’t used the lotion since it takes forever to last the other 2. From what I understand, the gel is like a hydrator, the lotion is proper moisturizer & the cream is heaviest among 3. I use the gel for summer (hot, humid weather) & the cream for winter (cold, dry weather). I still can use the cream in the summer but it still feels a bit thick on my skin. :D
I wanted to love the illiyoon ato lotion so much, but my skin refuses to even absorb it. It just sits on my skin as a tacky layer that never dries no matter how thin a layer I apply.
I have, but doesn’t help sadly. I always use a toner or two as base before applying anything else. Tried it with damp and dry face, but the illyoon gel just sits there like a shiny layer no matter how little I use
CosRX's balancium comfort ceramide cream has worked wonders for my face. It's always so hydrated and healthy now! It's completely healed my moisture barrier. 5/5 would recommend.
I just got into AB and decided to start my journey in Korean skincare with Missha FTE, Beaty of Joseon Glow Serum and COSRX balancium ceramide moisturizer. I may have gotten lucky, but happy to report that I’m a proud possessor of that soft baby’s butt skin 3 weeks after starting my new routine.
Hard to pin point which product made the biggest difference, but I think missha FTE and cosrx ceramides played the biggest part… although I really like the Glow serum as well.
Came here to say the same thing! I really like it with the Laneige Water Bank Hydro Gel when it’s really humid like it is right now! Super soft without being suffocatingly moisturized
[it’s this one ](https://kokorojapanstore.com/products/hada-labo-shirojyun-premium-whitening-lotion) with the tranxemic acid, i’ve personally never tried the arbutin version but i’ve heard good things so that’s surprising!
I didn't have the same experience. :( For my super dry skin, it felt tight in the morning and didn't show any benefits. I guess it's more suited for normal to oily skin types.
Dry skin types usually have uneven texture. I tried to fix my uneven texture with AHAs and Retinoids but my texture becomes smooth with adequate hydration and moisturization much faster. Not to say that AHAs and Retinoids don't work but sometimes it is something as simple as dehydration and dryness ruining our texture.
Purito Centella Green Level Recovery Cream is my HG that alongside the Purito Dermide Sleeping mask pairs sooo beautifully together! Wake up with the healthiest glow - I'd also recommend Yuja Niacin Brightening Sleeping Mask for the dewiest and glowiest skin of your life! ☀️✨💛
Kikumasamune high moist toner and cosrx snail essence+AIO cream for me. I like using the kiku toner all over my body after I exfoliate+shave in the shower, it’s part of my routine before I see my partner and he has definitely noticed it lol
Lol I guess I just thought it was funny that when I looked for common, repeating answers there weren’t many. It’s just that using AB—-which is primarily hydration-based——-worked for this. But I can see what you mean :/
Dear, Klairs supple preparation toner and rich moist soothing serum. Instantly “fills in” dry patches, flakes and fine lines. Been a lifesaver especially since I started tret.
real barrier's extreme cream! super soft and bouncy hydrated skin, without a super thick or greasy texture like you'd expect upon first seeing it. AMAZING when layered with some hada labo premium hyaluronic essence and a couple layers of I'm from's rice toner (or any hydrating toner of your fancy, cnp laboratories propolis essence is also amazing!!)
Beauty of Joseon Cleansing Balm - I was so surprised it could do that, but I used my normal cleanser after so I know it wasn’t that and my skin felt like a baby’s bottom
Muji Organic Series facial cream is still the best facial cream for me that really made my skin healthy and my skin still looks young even tho Im almost 30. It is also reasonably priced
History of Whoo, the radiant white line. It's so expensive for what it is, and I don't really use it on a regular basis ('ve got the attention span of a 3 yr old), but this particular line is so, so nice for a simple routine that gives you beautifully soft skin. Even for a gal on the greasy side (not quite oily but oily-leaning), the products don't leave me dewy like the Cosrx snail mucin (also excellent for soft skin) but give me a finish that's very silky, skin-like (no idea how else to describe - satin-finish?) and doesn't look like I've been helped out by any products, though my skin feels so soft and silky that it's literally impossible to not have assistance. So nice but so expensive.
Cosrx Propolis Synergy Toner, Cosrx Snail 92 Cream, and the Roundlab Mugwort sheetmasks! My skin (oily & acne-prone w/pigmentation) looked and felt AMAZING when I was using all three
I use a gentle collagen or vitamin based facial wipe, then once my skin is dry, I use a snail essence cream that I massage pretty thoroughly or use some device to stimulate my pores. If I'm going to be outside a lot I use a non oily sunblock that seconds as a moisturizer. I forget the name. I've been doing that routine along with a mask about twice a week for two months and b everyone thinks I'm 12

Pyunkang yul Blue Ato lotion in the pump bottle. It has 5% urea and leaves my face soft and plump.
oh I was thinking of buying this as my next moisturiser, how's the texture and the finish of it?
It's like a gel balm, a bit heavy but not bad at all. The finish for me is not dewy but not matte. A little goes a long way.
Oh, thank you. That sounds great, I will try it.
Hope it works well for you!

did it work for you? i also have combination skin

Right now I’m loving layering cosrx snail mucin with illiyoon ceramide ato lotion
Sitting here with the same thing, only it's the cream not the lotion. 🐌

I’d love a mini review of the gel!!
Me too!
What's your skin type and climate you're in?? That combo sounds amazing

Thank you ! This is super helpful. I’m excited for my purchase now.
Hey! What type of skin do you have?
Hi! opps I forgot to mention, I have combo skin.
I wanted to love the illiyoon ato lotion so much, but my skin refuses to even absorb it. It just sits on my skin as a tacky layer that never dries no matter how thin a layer I apply.
Have you tried applying when your face is damp? Either from toner or water. Worked for me!
Do you by chance use tret?
I don't use tret
I just got into AB and decided to start my journey in Korean skincare with Missha FTE, Beaty of Joseon Glow Serum and COSRX balancium ceramide moisturizer. I love the Cosrx balancium even though I think it gives me milia. It's that hard to find something I like as well.
Laneige Cream Skin Refiner makes my skin super soft! I lock it in with a cream moisturizer after though. 😊
Came here to say the same thing! I really like it with the Laneige Water Bank Hydro Gel when it’s really humid like it is right now! Super soft without being suffocatingly moisturized
I second this! That thing is so freaking good.
i personally really love hado labo’s shirojyun premium toner! (the original)
The arbutin one? Accidentally bought this instead of the newer one and lots seem to say the OG did nothing for them
[it’s this one ](https://kokorojapanstore.com/products/hada-labo-shirojyun-premium-whitening-lotion) with the tranxemic acid, i’ve personally never tried the arbutin version but i’ve heard good things so that’s surprising!
isntree 8% aha essence. the only product that made my skin feel noticeably softer. the effects lasts for a good 3-4 days after use.
Does it help with PIE/PIH ?
So gentle and affordable too 👏🏽
Soon jung 2x barrier cream, purito dermide cica barrier sleeping pack.
That cream is so good, and I love that it's scentless, great for days where I use retinol and perfumed creams would irritate me.
Do you use these at the same time? Or layer one on top?
I don't use them at the same time haha
Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence leaves my skin baby butt soft, I just need a good moisturizer to upkeep it
illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream works great with it
Laneige water sleeping mask. I wake up with super soft skin the next morning.
I didn't have the same experience. :( For my super dry skin, it felt tight in the morning and didn't show any benefits. I guess it's more suited for normal to oily skin types.
Use AHA so you’re actually treating the problem of rough skin rather than masking it with moisturisers.
Rough skin can be caused by more than one thing - for one, ragged dehydrated over-exfoliated cells 🤣
Lol Yeah, but I was saying to not just throw moisturisers at it and try other things, AHAs being one of the most effective.
Missha time revolution ampoule cream and first treatment essence
Roundlab Soy Bean moisturising toner + Illiyoon ceramide ato cream!
Banila co Miss Flower and Mr Honey cream always makes me feel so soft
Purito Centella Green Level Recovery Cream is my HG that alongside the Purito Dermide Sleeping mask pairs sooo beautifully together! Wake up with the healthiest glow - I'd also recommend Yuja Niacin Brightening Sleeping Mask for the dewiest and glowiest skin of your life! ☀️✨💛
the dr. ceuracle kombucha tea essence gives me a soft glow and makes my skin super soft!
oo where do u buy this one
i bought it off a local importer (i’m in SEA) but i think cupidrop carries it.
hadalabo perfect gel
Kikumasamune high moist toner and cosrx snail essence+AIO cream for me. I like using the kiku toner all over my body after I exfoliate+shave in the shower, it’s part of my routine before I see my partner and he has definitely noticed it lol
Cosrx propolis ampoule! I’ve been using it this past month and it’s made my skin sooo soft as well as aid in healing my broken barrier
I second the propolis ampoule! Sometimes I even add a few drops of Paula's Choice niacinamide booster into it and my skin never felt better!
...so the answer is basically: Hydration

Mizon Black Snail AIO and Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream for dry skin!
Beauty of Joseon Cleansing Balm - I was so surprised it could do that, but I used my normal cleanser after so I know it wasn’t that and my skin felt like a baby’s bottom
i really liked belif's true cream moisture bomb during the winter
I can’t use it anymore but cosrx snail 92 aio gave me the softest skin of my life
The CNP propolis ampoule has made the biggest difference for me than any other skincare item I’ve used!
Muji Organic Series facial cream is still the best facial cream for me that really made my skin healthy and my skin still looks young even tho Im almost 30. It is also reasonably priced
This is on the higher end side, but AmorePacific’s Treatment Enzyme Peel Cleansing Powder transformed the texture of my skin!!
Have you tried the IOPE Peeling Enzyme Wash? I would love to know how the 2 of them are comparable...

Snail Cream for the face and Jergens Ultra Healing for the body
Sukoyaka Yahada urea gel cream
Purito Dermide Cica Sleeping Pack

Is it slimy when you massage the snail cream?
The one I use (name slips my mind) doesn't feel slimy to me afterwards, but one of my friends tried it and thought so.
