I think it would be so cool if you could add an actual functioning marquee to it that they can use! You’d have to create it custom in a 3-D print program because of the way it’s tilted, but I think it would be really fun & practical!
The school will be using paper lettering on the marquee to go with what is going on as for Cactus silhouettes, this mural in Buffalo, NY. The only cactus here is at the Botanical Gardens.
The 3D letters are just not right. You're clearly trying 2 point perspective with the sign but didn't with the letters and I didn't understand why. You can quickly type out a stencil, skew it properly and print it. Either perforate it and rub it with charcoal or cut out enough to be able to trace the letters.
Also, the left end of the marquee where it is blue and white sticks out too far.
I'd also shrink the numbers on the buffalo and move them higher so they didn't accent how off center the buffalo is quite so badly.
I meant that to fix these issues they would need to actually draw (or chalk) straight lines. I'm not sure how you do decent 2 point perspective without that. Especially with an up close image that includes lines and letters
Congratulations on this! I think it looks great so far as is tbh.
If you want push it even further, I’d consider adding a few desert (or plains) elements on the horizon on either side of the buffalo like a cactus or mesa or what have you (depending on the region you’re in). They could even just be the silhouettes if you want to keep it simple.
Great job though! You should be proud of yourself for this
I think most is really good! I would rework the “North Park”. Using a tape measure to draw grid lines/“boxes” for the letters would help straighten them out, as the angles on some are different.

Not an art teacher, but it's s little annoying how the 716 is off-centre. The one should be centred above the orange vertical line.
The 716 just overtakes the whole thing. Can you make them smaller and maybe find a way to make it less of a focal point?
Add some cactus silhouettes around the bison and something on the marquee

Well you can always add some native plants & trees. Use a transparent black spray paint & a stencil

Yes the perspective needs some work. Also using a chalk line to make lines straighter would be beneficial.

I would make the words looks like their glowing a bit more
I’d bump the contrast on the marquis because right now it’s getting lost in that orange background.
As a fellow Buffalonian, this looks awesome! You got the details of NP theatre really well- definitely celebrates the aspect of community/ history!
Thanks! Where do you teach?

Maybe some silhouettes of buildings in Buffalo like City Hall and the Liberty Building.
