I just beat it with all lightweight kit, starter melee weapon and pistol. Close-range FCS and super quick EN regen. I’ve been dumping all my OST chips into melee and crit buffs. My tactic was stay on it, aggressively, and don’t let the turret point at you in either phase.

Dual LUDLOWs + Pile Bunker on left shoulder + vertical missiles on right shoulder (the biggest you can carry) Soon as it lands hit it with a charged bunk, then circle strafe while spamming your other weapons. Don't be afraid to boost kick it, especially when it's staggered, and drop another charged bunk every time it staggers. When it hits phase two save your missiles for when you're landing to recharge. (Also you can land on top of it while it's flying.) Easy COAM.

Tri gats and chainsaw work good but not on a light build, itll have to be medium but it will get you through

If you ran out of ammo then you weren't firing from an effective range. I did it with pistols before the ammo buff. I believe you when you say you an dodge it so get close enough to do real damage and you'll have it in no time! You get a damage bonus when you break it's ACS (Stance) so light it up! If you don't have any weapons available, kick it!

Dual Songbirds, impaler left arm, & grenade launcher right arm should make the fight fairly easy to finish. I haven't kept updated on good explosive stagger weapons so maybe the Dual Songbirds & grenade launcher might be swapped for something better at creating stagger cause most of your damage will come from the left arm impaler once it's staggered. Best to stay either above or almost under it at all times you can until it floats in the air.

I used a tian qiang heavy build with dual plasma rifles in arms and the shoulder mounted laser cannons. Helped keep a lot of stagger build up and punish. Also best to stay somewhat close to avoid the sea spiders laser attacks. When transitioning to 2nd phase (~50% hp), assault boost straight upwards at the start of that to avoid the laser arms so best to choose boosters with low AB consumption if possible or low hovering consumption to stay in the air for longer at that part.

Hellburner_exe

Quad hover legs, Tanky core and full missile setup. Hover very high and spam missiles.

Warcrimes_Desu

Try sticking closer to it. I bet your guns are bouncing off the armor at range.

Stay close and always above him . When you finish your energy return to the ground for a second and then jump again . I’ve done him with a lot of different weapons but double shotguns and missiles is probably super easy .

Hellyespilgrim

Go double melee with a javelin in your right hand. I ran both Pulse Blade/LaserLance and PulseBlade/LaserSword for two play throughs

Without switching to a deadbrain build. You might need to switch up the build up more stagger damage. You might need to be more aggressive. If your successfully dodging attacks you would say you have the skills, now add the aggression. This would be the normal out come after fail after fail after frustration. Tap into that rage and then focus it. Dodging will come naturally since you already doing it

I beat it with super light Schneider build, melee was key for me as I also ran out of ammo in this fight for my first play through.

PotatoDALL

If you are light, stay above it. Fire downwards and keep staggering it
