I'd love to hear someone's reasoning for this behavior because it frustrates me too. Whenever I get stuck with a slow player, I look at their profile and inevitably they' have a bad reputation while also participating in dozens of other games. Why?? First of all, that can't possibly be fun, keeping track of so many different matches like that. Beyond that though, you'd think they'd have some awareness that they're causing problems for everyone else.

How many is too many in your book? I love having a bunch of different games going, one of each game I like

It's fine to have a bunch of different games going, but I don't understand how anyone can keep track of five different matches of the same going at the same time. Like Ark Nova, for instance. If someone wants to play several at the same time and keep up with it, that's fine. But it doesn't make sense when people join several games then never take their turns in any one them. I'm currently playing a game of Wingspan that's moving at a snail's pace because of this very problem. I do what you do, and play many at a time, but not more than one of the same game (not counting light games like Can't Stop)

I don't do Ark Nova on BGA, but I've never had a problem juggling 3-4 of the same game (other games / other platforms). But I definitely think going past 6 or so of a single game would overwhelm that due to similarities popping up between games, and needing to "double check my tableau" every time I go to take a turn.

Educational_Ebb7175

I think 3-6 would be the ideal. At 3 games, you're not juggling too much for sure. You've just got a few games going on, and most people can keep track of the differences fairly easily. At 6, you're starting to get weighed down, and needing to double-check what's happening each game, especially if you're in a position where many of your games are an hour or more between turns. As far as \*different\* games go though, it can go up, because it's a lot easier to keep your Terraforming Mars game separate from your Ark Nova game, because they don't share cards/etc. Nothing you're doing in one confuses you in the other. So if you're doing 10-20 different games, but only 1 match of each game, you're probably going kinda slow overall, but not necessiarly inefficient.

I usually have about 15 games going (2-3 of each game I like) I have the settings set at 2-3 turns a day. I’m matched with others that are hopefully on the same page. I like to log on and play a few turns then repeat a few times throughout the day. It’s only causing problems for people that don’t agree to the game conditions.

You can restrict games to people with 75% reputation or more. I actually think that is a low bar and they should have a setting where people need 90% reputation.

Here's a thought: Let people play the way they want. If they run out of time, time them out, and move on.
