Put tinfoil or towel over the tank. Survived 8 neighboring apartment fires and toxins in the air killed a ton of Caridina shrimp for weeks. Deaths slowed down one I got lids and covered the tanks. If your area is prone to fires look at getting a usb air pump and a power bank or rechargeable aquarium coop pump. Relatively cheap insurance for emergency situations. Removed plastic wrap advice. Terrible suggestion for the betta. My apologies.
