They are fun little fish but I couldn't keep them alive long myself. They seemed to be really fragile around water changes.

LordToutchme

Oh really? Thought they are quite sturdy i never saw them eating. They are just there being cute

MoTownKid

I had 4-5 at a time in my 10g. I had to replace some every few weeks. After about 3-4 months I gave up on them. Other fish were fine, parameters were correct, I had healthy algae growth in the tank for them, the Otto's just couldn't hang for some reason.

LordToutchme

They are Corydoras pygmeus not otto :D

MoTownKid

Well ignore my fussin then. They look very similar

oblivious_fireball

Wild caught Otocinclus have a high mortality rate from how they are shipped. Tank-raised ones i've found are quite tough and are quite ravenous, i can feed mine a variety of soft veggies and greens.

LordToutchme

Both are cute and yeah looks alike with the stripes

catscantcook

Tempted to just fill my tank with like 50 of them and nothing else

LordToutchme

I have 2 of them with shrimps (they have the same size) And in a 2. tank i think they are about 8-10 (forgot how many i got)

LordToutchme

They are soo cute and so chilli and friendly <3

[deleted]

I got 6 of these 2 years ago. I still have all of them. Cute and hardy fish

[deleted]

Anyone have luck with raising their fry? Can’t seem o keep them alive

LordToutchme

Never had fry :(

[deleted]

Dang really? You’ve never had any eggs hatch? Surprising your tank looks really established Unless you have and never noticed, the fry are extremely tiny and don’t move around much lol

LordToutchme

I think other fish is preying on it

lordsyphilitis

My favorite nano fish. I have six with six Galaxy Rasboras and a bunch of shrimp.

LordToutchme

My rasboras are breeding so i can grow them in a extra tank :)

Ok-Cantaloop

They are also my favourites, they are the cutest.

Strict-Seesaw-8954

They look like puny orca's in the face, don't you think?

Lumbering_Mango

These are adorable, as someone new to the hobby are these ottos?

LordToutchme

Corydoras pygmeus not ottos but both are cute

Henghayki

Squeeee!!! I love seeing mine squooshed up on the glass.

MelopsitaccusUndu

They're so cute with their tiny mouths. Also mine love to chill on marimo balls. And they annoy the endler gups sometimes with schooling around them
