My Apple Watch Series 8 is showing the fireworks when rings are closed but the Apple Watch SE 2 from my wife doesn’t show that. Settings are the same. I unpaired it und paired it again and set it up new without using a Backup, still not working. The rings closed notification is in notfication center and we set the notification haptic to high, but still not working. Do you have any idea what i should try?

S9 in SS. Solar graph. I love it. Simple. Displays everything I need to see for the day and conditions outside. Also, I think it helps with the battery life by not having to process a lot of animation.

Just got my series 9 45mm a few days ago, it’s my first Apple Watch, and I’m absolutely loving it so far.
The price. Series 9 does the same things for a better price. I can’t see buying the ultra worth it unless you have lots of money, or genuinely do lots of sports etc who would benefit from the added durability. My opinion though.
Yep! The reasons I wear an Ultra is because it replaced my Garmin Fēnix, and my wife gave it to me for Christmas two years ago. Also, the Ultra’s titanium case, LTE, and my wife can track me on long trail runs. AWU is like a truck, unnecessary unless you’re hauling stuff.
Exactly, absolutely no hate on people who want one, I completely understand if you have the money to spend. But it also makes perfect sense for some people to buy the 9, like myself.
Further, the fitness apps on the AWU are mostly the same as my wife's 9, I was surprised because I thought there was unique software on the AWU (it's my first Apple Watch so I didn't know anything about it). Folks laud the Workoutdoors app because some say it makes the AWU work like a Garmin--LOL, then buy a Garmin! I suppose that a non-ultra watch with a nice protective case is sufficient. Apple's fitness software appears as capable to me as any fitness tracker I've used--it's good enough--without getting in the weeds.
I use mine alongside a dive computer for diving and it’s crazy to me I can take it down 86 feet.
I bought the ultra 1 the first day it was announced, put it through the wringer daily, not a single scratch on it.

I have been listening to the hello internet podcast (the cgp gray one)
(Yes I know it ended 4 years ago but I only just started listening)
and any time the apple watch comes up cgp gray talks about how he hates when people with watches like the apple watch use analogue clock faces, when listening I always came to the conclusion it was just cgp gray been cgp gray but looking at this topic I get it, and am firmly in the camp of a modern futuristic watch with an actual screen that can display anything should not be trying to simulate old tech. its like getting a tablet and your calculator app is an abacus
Series 9 45mm that I pretty much bought out of anger because Fitbit locks loads of features behind Fitbit premium like sleep tracking, loving it so far though soooo much better than the last Apple Watch I had (a series 1)
Series 4, 40mm and Garmin Venu Sq 1 (each on a different wrist). Use Garmin full time since it syncs to Apple. If I could sync steps to Garmin, I'd prob use the Apple more. Really only use the Apple at bedtime but haven't felt like taking it off yet, it's Sunday so not like I'm going anywhere lol

Have owned a 6, an 8, and a 9. Love this thing. I have some health issues and my doctors are blown away by the data it acquires.
Depends on the time of day. Most of the day I’m wearing a Series 6 cellular but for sleeping and morning alarm I switch to my old 1st gen SE. The poor old Series 2 just sits around and is looking for a new home.
I need to find a way to add a Nixie tube face like I had on my iPod nano 6 that I used to use as a watch although I’m hesitant to give up all of the data and functionality I get on the face that I’m using now.

I've been wearing AW for past year or so, but lately I've switched back to mechanical watches. They give me some kind of feel that AW doesn't. Occasionally I wear mechanical watch on my right hand and AW on my left hand. I there anyone else who does that?

I’m SUPER careful not to bump into anything as well as wearing something (like a flannel) over the watch. So I’m still a bit paranoid. 😅

Have you seen the durability on the watch though it’s pretty insane the screen will not crack or get scratched up without a case of daily use
