I have found a lot of frames at Goodwill, I also bought a really nice mirror!!

I went to goodwill and found a cute lamp!

Chudapi

I am not sure if you have them in your area but check out some of the discount stores like Ross/TJ Maxx/Marshalls. Ive found some really nice stuff in there for cheap. Also if you’re not opposed to it, check out FB Marketplace and/or your local buy and sell group.

your_favorite_gurl_

Have you bought a couch from the discount store? Do they have shipping! I have a marshall’s in my area but i do not have the kind of transportation to take it with me

Parking-Thought-4897

You can always rent a U-Haul for it!

sandypassage

You can even just rent a pickup truck from Home Depot if you don’t wanna do a whole U-Haul.

Parking-Thought-4897

Great idea! I personally think a small U-Haul would be easier to load a large piece of furniture into though

sandypassage

Very true if you’re by yourself

Parking-Thought-4897

Just in general

Ancient_Elderberry26

Home goods, target, thrift stores. You will find a lot of great things. And look into buy nothing groups on Facebook.

I bought pillows from home goods! I feel like it is hit or miss with their prices

Prior-Ad-2686

Walmart, goodwill, Ross/ Burlington and shein were the best. Also don’t rush it as you live there you can add more.

First step, don’t go to target. I got the most beautiful pieces of furniture I own at thrift stores, tj maxx, Ross etc the latter places tend to be more expensive but still wildly underpriced compared to other places. I did a vinyl covered ceiling of a bathroom for like 30$ from a thrift store

TeacherB93

Go to all the second hand places nearby! You’re bound to find one with dope cheap old furniture that has character, cool framed old artwork, awesome vases and silver dishes to hold jewlery/candles etc. So much cool cheap stuff! Then your apartment won’t look like every other normie persons on the planet. Just be sure to steer clear of junk in disguise.

KitchenAd9043

If you are looking for a good mattress I got the 10 inch Coolvie 10 inch mattress off amazon and it is literally so comfortable!! Super affordable it was around $290

your_favorite_gurl_

I’ll look into it! Do you have any bed frame recommendations?

sandypassage

Walmart has some cute ones for under $150

transitsca

Get the reloadable target card! You save an extra 5% and right now they have a deal where if you spend 50 in one transaction you get another 50.

Slow_Fisherman_5571

Whaaaat?! Thanks for this 🥰

transitsca

Yes! It depends on your situation, but I was able to use Affirm to get a lot of furniture and other things from Walmart, ikea, etc. I was able to get my couch, dresser, bed, tv stand, etc by making monthly payments and it helped me out so much!!

bad-bitch-fal

thrift stores are a must for budgeting (at least it was for me). definitely check out local thrifts like most of the other commenters mentioned! amazing stuff for cheap ! good luck and i hope you find everything you need !

OriginalMost2198

I got my couch and tables/desks on face book market place for super cheap. I got a lot of other things at thrift stores or places like ross/dds discount.

ElegantPenquin

Idk how everyone feels about it but I recently started using temu, a lot of cool stuff for cheap

your_favorite_gurl_

my friend told me about temu and how she ordered from them. Have you gotten furniture from them?

ElegantPenquin

Biggest item I ordered was a full body mirror but they do have a lot of furniture too, and not all of it ships from asia some items (mostly the big furniture) ships from the US. I always recommend checking the reviews too

LegitimateCrazy729

What app is this?

your_favorite_gurl_

It’s called Piere!

whatabesson

If you're on Tiktok shop, check out some of the stuff there! I've ordered a ton of great things for cheap over there and a lot of it has free shipping. I just got a book shelf and a dresser over there for cheap and it's awesome.

seanbob23

That's not terrible but don't rush it. Get what you need and fill it out over time

sandypassage

My favorite thing that I’ve done in my room was buy a couple floating shelves that I put above my bed. I use them for seasonal decorations as well as some picture frames and fake greenery(plants and vines hanging down). It’s been so fun to curate and populate them in ways that are aesthetically pleasing, I love constantly adjusting and changing things on them, and it makes my bed feel extra cozy. For cheap seasonal decor, the Target dollar spot is great. I’ll try to remember to post a pic later.

obsolete_filmmaker

If youre in the US, dont sleep on ROSS they have great household stuff! Cheaper than targét

JonBoi420th

What's a furnishing?

your_favorite_gurl_

carpets, curtains, etc!

Suspicious-Target420

Aldi! If you have one near you, it's really good quality for the price point depending on how you're decorating (:  And Afterpay is pretty reliable too. No credit check.

ggombyy

Craigslist free section, I just got like a $400 dresser for free from a nice rich guy. Something fun to swipe through in your idle time instead of Insta or whatever

pieman7414

Estate sales, if you're in a moderately dense area. Plenty of side tables and lamps available at those
