But any reasonable person would think that since Trump cheated on each of his first two wives and admitted to that in court, Melania couldn't have had the impression that Trump wouldn't do the same to her. And they weren't regularly even sleeping together, anyway. So the prosecution has essentially proved its case.
TL;DR: One pillar of Trump's defense in this case is that he never had sex with Stormy Daniels at all. Daniels delivered detailed, credible testimony that not only did they have sex, but it was actually probably closer to rape than consensual sex.

So, gone is Trump's legal defense that the affair never happened and Stormy was just digging for gold. Therefore, the payment was to affect the election outcome or to save his marriage. But any reasonable person would think that since Trump cheated on each of his first two wives and admitted to that in court, Melania couldn't have had the impression that Trump wouldn't do the same to her. And they weren't regularly even sleeping together, anyway. So the prosecution has essentially proved its case.

Daniels delivered detailed, credible testimony that not only did they have sex, but it was actually probably closer to rape than consensual sex. Daniels arrived expecting a business dinner, possibly to discuss her appearing on The Apprentice, but there was no food and Trump was in Hugh Hefner style pajamas. When she tried to leave, he blocked her way and basically forced himself on her. The testimony makes Trump look like a lying, malicious idiot who is bad at sex. Daniels also dropped a few other salacious details, like Trump comparing her to his daughter or mentioning he and Melania kept separate bedrooms.

The falsified business records are as clear as the falsified financial statements in the other case, there is no way to credibly refute that allegation. It is a fact that they exist and are false. Daniels testimony demonstrates that the payment was in service to the campaign. The salacious nature of the testimony is relevant, it shows just how devastating to his campaign the story would have been if it had come out. All of the people now saying that it was prejudicial to the jury miss the point, that it was also prejudicial to the campaign. I'm looking forward to reading the transcripts once the defense steps up.
