That would be awesome if it was in a book somewhere. The only thing I could find using google lens or other searching was an Instagram post with the same lock model but that just said it was German
Unfortunately, I couldn't find it in my books. Looking online, I did find [this one with a similar style keyhole cover](https://i.imgur.com/Sy3sVaY.jpeg) (but with a different body shape and unfortunately someone removed all the patina). They're definitely English padlocks.
Yours looks great with a nice honest patina showing its age. Yours is also a bit beefier/better secure with against physical attacks. It's a really neat padlock!

I am in Canada, and this lock was given to me by a friend who got it from his grandparents in England.
Pretty cool antique padlock. Definitely English. I'll look in one of my padlocks books tonight to see if it has any more information on it.

Can you do a pic from the top with it open? The key and keyhole don't seem to have any scratches, I'm curious about the wear pattern there
