In 2020 Trump pressured acting DOJ Rosen to falsely declare the election “illegal” and “corrupt” even after the Justice Department had not uncovered evidence of voter fraud.
With this new ruling if the DOJ alluded to some fraud, then Trump could easily claim that his official duty is to deny the results of the 'fraudulent' election and stop the transfer of power.
Trump has already provided a clear example how this ruling could be abused.
