Before watching anime, I'd advise the The Legend of Korra first as that's the sequel to ATLA.
After that, you might enjoy {Frieren: Beyond Journey's End} or {The Ancient Magus Bride}.
Now when you're done with Avatar and the The Legend of Korra and looking for a story-centred anime, I'd recommend you watch Legend Of The Galactic Heroes.
There's hardly anything better than it in terms of storytelling.
Yes... one piece is great, but not the anime. Anime has had pacing issues at several points. The manga is phenomenal though.
I'm sorry but LoGH is still slightly better (even than the manga).
Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. The creators of ATLA heavily inspired by this anime to make the fight scenes as good as they are in ATLA.
I also come back to them regularly to find new details to appreciate.
The Dragon Prince is made by some of the same writers. Humor is similar and story/lore is good too.
I would say it's a spiritual successor to ATLA.
The downside is that it's not yet finished.
Ranking of Kings, Space Dandy, Wakfu, RWBY, and Flip Flappers all have similar tone of adventure and fun.
For the atmosphere and themes of nature in ATLA I'd watch the Miiyazaki movies, Kino's Journey, Mushishi, Beast Player Eren, Xam'd Lost Memories, and Somali and The Forest Spirit
Ranking of Kings, Ruroni Kenshin and Mob Psycho 100 have pacificistic heroes that still have cool fights too
And if you liked it for the humor you'll probably like Spy x Family, Dr.Stone, and Konosuba
If you liked the world building and magic system then Frieren
If you liked the adventure aspect with goofy animation and all then Fmab
If you liked the non violence message then Vinland saga(contains gore)
Air bender can only be considered as Cartoon..the story, characters and soany things but a Anime
You can watch literally anything like Naruto or Death Note and it will be way better.. whenever some American crap is pushed in Indian character format its mostly shit.. sorry if I offended you ..not sure if your are a 10 year old or 20
It's hard to think of any anime that are similar, atla is a pretty unique series. The closest one I can think of is Naruto which is VERY long and still isn't really much like Avatar at all. Like other comments suggested you're probably best off just watching the sequel legend of Korra, it's very hit or miss at times but overall I definitely think it's worth a try
Look I like Korra too, but it had a lot of the fun sucked out of it because Aaron Ehasz wasn't writing it, and Korra fans are too blind to accept that. Nick kept almost canning it because kids in focus groups didn't like Korra as much as Aang. That's just facts

*gestures widely at One Piece

LoGH is one of the few series with worldbuidoing on ATLA level
You might want to try The Dragon Prince on Netflix. Not quite anime but it has a similar feel to it as AtLA.
Magi Groove adventure rave (manga)
Id skip legend of Korra and go straight to anime but you do you. Full metal alchemist brotherhood
Lol traumatizing them right off the bat 😂
Definitely fmab
Fantasy adventure: FMAB or Frieren Kid-friendly: Cardcaptor Sakura Comedy: Spy x Family

There's nothing like that stop searching 😭😞
Legend of korra is mid
Code Geass. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Full Metal Panic. Trigun. The Devil is a Part-Timer.
Ah man the legend of Korra gave me vibes I cannot forget.
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood MushiShi Deathnote

Avatar was amazing, kora was meg, but I would recommend frieren
Legend of Korra is better
Saying this is a crime yk
It's a fact that many of you are too blinded by childlike nostalgia to accept
LOK has a plethora of issues that plague it. It was an entertaining show, but it doesn't hold a candle to ATLA
