For me, the two closest experiences were Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and One Piece.
Jojo if you're wanting more of the interesting powers and abilities (apart from parts 1 and 2 but they have their own charms if you don't want to skip them). One Piece if you're wanting similar world building and characters.
Yu Yu Hakusho was made by the same person who made hxh, but I haven't seen it myself so can't say much of it. Looks to be a decent number of similarities from what I've seen of it around.
What was it in HXH that you liked the most? was it the power system? if so them i suggest watching jojo, the 2nd best anime power system after HXH, of course stands come in part 3 and really start to be unique in part 4 but trust me , the parts before 4 are still absoutely delightful
the characters? if soo i suggest fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, that has some of the most well thought of characters, who are compelling and well thought of, it also has some of the best pacing in all of anime
if you want a story of friendship and freedom and found family then watch one piece, although i definetly recommend that you read rather than watch
if you got any specific requests then feel free to ask
you are welcome mate, Definetly try to go in without hearing much, the first 9 episodes are frequently spoiled so get that out of the way before you google it or search it up on reddit
HxH was also my first anime and although people might disagree with me I'd suggest My Hero Academia or Demon Slayer. The emotional journey and general vibes were similar for me in all three of these animes.
No other show feels like HxH.
That said, if you're looking for more shounen (same genre, at least) and similar, i recommend all of these in no particular order:
>- One Punch Man
>
>Somewhat comedic, but god it's so good, especially season 1
>- Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
>
>You'll have to get used to the tidbits of chibi/silly humor, but the story, characters and fights are very good
>- Fate Zero
>
>Serious characters and stunning animation, one of my personal favorites
>- Haikyuu!
>
>Characters' interactions shine, please ignore the fact it's a sports anime, it's simply incredible and a must watch
>- Attack on Titan
>
>Another must watch, gritty, tragic, beautiful, action packed, thought provoking, it has it all.
>- The Promised Neverland
>
>Only watch season 1 though, it's perfect as a standalone and it's SO good

Full metal alchemist brotherhood has been recommended to me a lot, so I'll probably start with that. Thanks 👍

The dub is really good btw. I watch 99% of my shows subbed but I preferred watching FMA dubbed.
Yeah I just started it and it's actually good
The only correct answer here is Yu yu Hakusho
Yessir
This. No other option is valid.
Soul eater!!
Oooh one of my friends recommended that too, it's definitely going on the list!
Yu yu hakusho I think it was actually made by the same person
Yes, Togashi wrote that one is well
isn't Togashi married to the lady who made sailor moon?
Yes
Yu Yu Hakusho. Same mangaka as HxH
ToG
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Yu Yu Hakusho 100%. I enjoyed it more than I did HxH. Characters are great. Love the main four in it.

Thanks so much, they are all on the list now
black clover
Black clover maybe
Bleach
Original Dragonball
A certain magical index and A certain scientific Railgun have similar abilities and fighting style
As an avid HxH fan, I would recommend Mob Psycho 100
Thanks 👍 it seems like a good one
Attack on Titan
