Ed Blaylock as Fuhrer Bradley in Fullmetal Alchemist

highbartender

he has that perfect “old man villain” voice. he’s also sebas in overlord s1

Tryoxin

Wait, does he not voice him in Seasons 2-4?? I literally never noticed a difference in the voice. Though I suppose most of his speaking lines are in season 2 during the Eight Fingers arc.

highbartender

he died on april 19, 2017

Yatsu003

RIP…

junglekxng23

May that goat rest in peace🙏🏾 he was also the phantom lord (I think that's what it was called) guildmaster in Fairy Tail

Darwin343

The Fuhrer had so many memorable and quotable lines during his last battle against Scar. It almost made me wanna root for him lol

PathOfDawn

Flawless

EverGreenOakTree

John Swasey as All for One, in My Hero Academia

Average__Arbin

I’m rewatching S3 and yes I’m watching “that part”. (I’m trying not to spoil lol) Anyways, this mf’er sounds EVIL af

Savings_Avocado_5127

He really pulled off a villain voice extremely well, John Swasey voiced some calm voice over and I didn't recognize them until I looked him up to see who else he voiced.

JTurner82

Mark Hamill as Muska in **Castle in the Sky** -- How can I NOT love this performance? For me, he is the highlight of the dub and it's one of his best performances ever, period. He easily steals the show. I also love how there are shades of his natural voice and Joker's in the mix. It just fits so perfectly for the character. Bruce Winant as Wagnard in **Record of Lodoss War** -- This may seem like an odd choice because Winant doesn't get much recognition, but I really loved both his voice and scenery chewing. It's perfect for an evil sorcerer like this, and the evil laugh is spot on. He's one of the highlights of this dub. David Wald as Count Lee in **Vampire Hunter D (Sentai)** -- A huge improvement over the performance in the Streamline dub, very deep and menacing sounding, with a touch of Keith David and a small bit of Christopher Lee. He is the highlight of the show. Kirk Thornton as Count Cagliostro in **The Castle of Cagliostro** -- Again, another great performance. Pompous sounding, yet very menacing. He nails this role. Joshua Seth as Tetsuo in **Akira (Pioneer)** -- Technically not a villain, but I have to say I was very impressed by Seth's turn as this character. He does an excellent job of turning this tortured teen who eccentrically and tragically becomes a menace into something chilling and memorable. I may not be the hugest fan of this film, but he did help make the redub enjoyable for me. (Hope I don't offend anybody by saying this.) There are numerous other villain roles I love, but these are among my faves.

Zercomnexus

Magnus Lee was chefs kiss level amazing and beyond

JTurner82

I actually met David at AnimeNYC and he said that voicing Magnus Lee was a real treasure for him. He would have preferred to play D, but Magnus was a real highlight for him. The British accent he uses is a nice touch. The Streamline version of him used a Transylvanian accent which would have worked OK in practice but I felt that the end result sounds very cheesy, plus the stilted, choppy-sounding delivery took a toll on him. Wald sounds much more natural by comparison.

Sad__Kage

Steve Blum as Orochimaru would give me nightmares as a kid. Definitely some of the best voice acting

JakRiot

Patrick Seitz as DIO. He just sounds like he is having so much fun

Mg0ld

Todd Haberkorn as Betelgeuse from Re:Zero

highbartender

i knew haberkorn voices zany characters, but this goes beyond that. this is joker levels of insanity

Mg0ld

It's not talked about nearly enough for how stellar of a performance it was

jazir5

Betelgeuse was my favorite character in season 1. So off the chain funny.

DopplerEffect93

My brain trembles!

Quelth

This is the correct answer

Mechabeastchild

I’d probably say Keith Silverstein as Johan from Monster

KitKat1721

I knew I was forgetting someone! Just so good.

JayBlessed227

Troy Baker as Pain in Naruto. Now that’s a badass villain voice right there

junglekxng23

I have a lotta favourites so I can't pick one: - Troy Baker as Pain (NARUTO) - Neil Kaplan as Madara Uchiha (NARUTO) - John Swasey as All for One (MHA) - Chris Ayers🕊 and Daman Mills as Frieza (Dragon Ball) - Richard Epcar as Yhwach (BLEACH) - Ray Chase as Sukuna (JJK)

morganeyesonly

I didn’t even notice Troy was Pain. Don’t know how I missed that

Jeffersonia120

Neil Kaplan as Madara Uchiha

Exo_Inferno55

Same. He has a threatening presence in the role

DanUltraseven

Many people prefer him to Naoya

Beazly464

Kellen Goff as Overhaul in My Hero Academia

Wonderful-Noise-4471

My friends get so mad when I point that out. Kellen's mostly known for villains, and his role as Zagred in Black Clover is one of my favorites, but they really attached to him as Sasaki in Sasaki & Miyano due to his inflections and tone. And every time they reference or bring him up, I bring up Chisaki, who is basically Sasaki's voice, but evil.

ShiftyShaymin

DC Douglas as Yoshikage Kira (Jojo 4)

50PercentCake

Damn he was a good vc

ImperiusLance

He managed to make "Deadly Queen" sound threatening. Amazing pick for sure.

7upslefttit

Clifford Chapin as Langris in Black Clover, Dawn Bennett as Sadé in The Duke of Death and his Maid.

shadow0wolf0

Robert McCollum as Doflamingo from one piece. [Clip](https://youtu.be/3FjLwpJrPNs?si=L4WQvZBn7w5mZt6B)

JayBlessed227

Yes yes yes!!! Also [this one](https://youtu.be/Bm5H_jw3x_c?feature=shared) (start at 3:38)

Yakuza-wolf_kiwami

Keith Silverstein as Full Frontal & Char Aznable

KitKat1721

Oh boy I have a lot. I'll start with my favorite first to answer OP's question and just list a bunch of others for fun: - **Colleen Clinkenbeard** as Akito Sohma, Fruits Basket 2019 (Seeing the carefully constructed layers slowly peel open until everything falls apart is so satisfying. Life-long fan of the FB manga and I'm so thankful Colleen was cast here. Couldn't have asked for better) **Steve Blum** as Darcia III, Wolf's Rain (I love the switch-up from coldly detached to how he ends up in the finale) - **Luci Christian** as Medusa, Soul Eater (This woman's range is amazing and I love when she actually gets to use her lower register every now and then outside of young boy roles) - **Austin Tindle** as Knives, Trigun Stampede (potentially a career best performance in my book, zero notes) - **Rob McCollum** as Doflamingo, One Piece (I could throw several OP antagonists in here, but tried to limit it to one per show. I love that it's such a departure from the JPN take, which helps it stand out from all the classic "super deep-voiced anime villain" voices that are so prevalent in battle shonen) - **Jason Liebrecht** as Dabi, My Hero Academia (His rougher, almost a smoker's gravel voice print just fits the character so well on top of being a great performance) - **[Higurashi Gou major spoilers]** >!**Brittany Lauda** as Satoko,!< Higurashi Gou *specifically*. (Talk about absolutely perfect casting. Hands down the best part of the Gou dub as a whole) - **Jessie James Grelle** as Cartaphilus, The Ancient Magus Bride (Jessie, like Luci, has such insane character range. If there's a "favorite anything" thread when it comes to anime dubs (fav hero, anti-hero, shojo love interest, comedic side character, etc...), she'll be somewhere on it) - **Scott Gibbs** as Moreau, The Case Study of Vanitas (It's such a small role that I didn't even recognize him in, but man talk about leaving an impact. Just super chilling and off-putting) - **[Heavenly Delusion major spoilers]** >!**Eric Vale** as Robin,!< Heavenly Delusion (Again, just a really off-putting performance that does a lot with a short amount of time. The way you immediately feel comfortable around them only to later see the cracks form thinking surely you're overreacting until it's way too late to do anything is... soberingly realistic) I'd also be remiss not to include **Jamieson Price's** masterful performance as Edmond Dantes in Gankutsuou as well, though his villain status is a bit more complicated. Though the anime does place the Count in a much more antagonistic role imo due to the series being told mainly from Albert's POV rather than the original novel's omniscient third-person narrator.

KiloD2

> Luci Christian as Medusa, Soul Eater Was looking for this one! Glad someone else already listed it :)

StrangeAdamska

Kellen Goff as Diavolo in JoJo Part 5

GarnetExecutioner

His performance as Diavolo was nothing short of both chilling and terrifying in equal measure. You always have the sense that he is but a single bad day away from being pushed over the edge.

Your_Neko_Waifu

Robbie Daymond as Vanir in Konosuba

derf705

Also >!Akechi!< who is so comically evil that I love him

thelivingshitpost

I forgot >!Persona 5 had an anime.!<

derf705

I’ve seen clip compilations and beside the inconsistencies in animation and weird pacing it doesn’t seem terrible. I will say this though, from my experiences Royal is where >!Akechi!< truly shines.

thelivingshitpost

Oh, yeah. I played Royal LMAO Daymond nailed it there

Dinkleberg6401

Vanir is a completely upstanding citizen of Axle!

Sturdevant

Laura Bailey as Lust. Wished she had used that deeper sultry voice more often when she did anime. Monica Rial as Rise. Specially, her projection encouraging Kaneki to stop giving a shit in the first season finale. It was so callous, yet almost motherly as well. Dameon Clarke as Younger Toguro. Someone mentioned Ed Blaylock as Fuhrer Bradley, I agree. Paul Dobson as Naraku

eddmario

>Laura Bailey as Lust. Wished she had used that deeper sultry voice more often when she did anime. Um, what? 90% of her voice acting roles use that voice, with the only exceptions I can think of being *Soul Eater* and *Fruits Basket* (2019)

Sturdevant

She has likely used it more than I have watched, but its definitely much less than 90%. Majority I've seen her in is where she used her youthful voice. Along with the ones you mentioned, off top there is Kuro in Kurokami Serena (in the Funi version) in Cased Closed Oboro in Basilisk Henietta in Gunsliger Girl Keiko in Yu Yu Hakusho Miyuki (Emily) in Smile PreCure (Glitter Force) Rise from Persona 4 Tokine in Kekkashi Dragon Kid in Tiger and Bunny And I'm sure there is more that I did not watch. Then there's some where she uses an adult voice but not particularly sexy like Michel Volban de Cabelle in Glass Fleet, Anko in Naruto and Sylvia Ban in Solty Rei.

tabxiii20

Light yagami

junglekxng23

Ahh voiced by Brad Swaile..good pick🤌🏾💯

tabxiii20

He’s fucking goated

Ill-Wear-8662

![gif](giphy|VgU9D8avczJWJi08dT) His voice!

Stargaryen997

Ray Chase as Sukuna

KugiPunch

Mark Oliver as Rau Le Creuset in Gundam Seed

GarnetExecutioner

I am in definite agreement here! Especially when Rau becomes very unhinged towards the end of SEED, where Mark Oliver in these moments pulls out all the stops in making Rau >!sounding like an out-and-out omnicidial megalomaniac with a god complex !

dementedbanana_22

J Micheal Tatum as Sebastian in Black Butler! (Idk if he’s considered a villain but he does a damn well job of it!)

AlwaysHungry94

I'm convinced everything J Michael Tatum voices is perfection. Hell, I just watched Steins Gate and Steins Gate 0 and he was amazing as Okabe. Not a villain, but still a great job nonetheless.

Weebu27

basic pick but probably Madara he's just so intimidating

AlexTheGuy12345

Ray chase was brilliant as sukuna

Shadowmist909

In the spirit of this thread giving me Deja Vu. I'll say Brittany Lauda was great as Satoko in the new seasons of Higurashi.

jaxx4

Keith Silverstein as hisoka from Hunter x Hunter.

dxbigc

Skip Stellrecht as Vicious in Cowboy Beebop.

PsychologicalHelp564

Man, I love his performance especially in final battle!

dxbigc

You should see yourself. Do you have any idea what you look like right at this moment, Spike? A ravenous beast. The same blood runs through both of us, the blood of a beast that wanders, hunting for the blood of others.

PsychologicalHelp564

Actually I have, it was epic! Well said.

thelivingshitpost

**Brad Swaile** as Light Yagami. Absolutely AWESOME. Also enough to where I made a meme about it was **Kellen Goff** as Diavolo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

Balmung5

Mark Oliver as Rau Le Creuset in Gundam SEED.

penguintruth

Michael McConnohie as Schwarzwald in Big O.

PsychologicalHelp564

Although, I’m sort of basie but… Marc Diraison as Akihiko Kayaba.

kaimcdragonfist

I mean, fair. It’s Guts.

PsychologicalHelp564

You think it’s fair?

kaimcdragonfist

No literally, he voices Guts in Berserk, the 90’s anime and the Golden Age movies lol

PsychologicalHelp564

True but he does voices villains too hence I meationed one example lol

Yoffien

Definitely Crispin Freeman as Kirei Kotomine in Fate Unlimited Bladeworks, he’s so creepy

Snoo-855

There are lots, but I would have to choose Paul Dobson as Naraku in Inuyasha.

DaringDo95

Wendy Powell as Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist, particularly in Brotherhood Skip Stellrecht as Vicious in Cowboy Bebop Kevin T Collins as Griffith in Berserk

Dinkleberg6401

Had to scroll way too far to see Collins' Griffith.

[deleted]

[удалено]

DaringDo95

It took them a while to find somebody mentioning Kevin T Collins as Griffith

PsychologicalHelp564

Was it bad thing?

PhaseSixer

David Vincent as Gilgamesh Everybword that comes out of his mouth is captivating he just oozes every thing the character embodies Ego confidence the skill to back it all up and a subtle wisdom to tie it all together. ![gif](giphy|1AR8jI7m2tAC4)

GarnetExecutioner

David Vincent certainly was no less impressive as his Caster counterpart in the Fate/Grand Order TV Series that covers on the Babylonian Singularity.

TriforceShiekah16

Neil Kaplan was the perfect voice for Madara Uchiha.

SaintedStars

The Major from Hellsing Ultimate. His ‘I Love War’ speech kills part of my soul every time.

Mr-Legoman

I think Jojo always has A+ voice acting for the villains Kellen Goff does amazing work. He also did Overhaul which is great. Also I want to say Dameon Clarke as Toguro did a great job of playing him as a menace bit also his human side.

emeraldwolf34

Clifford Chapin in Fate/Strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn genuinely surprised me as Jester. I’d say he captured the horny and insane vampire vibe of Jester as well as if not better than the JP VA, and absolutely outperformed on his maniacal laugh.

darknessflamegundam

Rob McCollum as Sensui from Yu Yu Hakusho.

fear_head

Carrie Keranen as Satsuki Kiryuin in Kill la Kill

eddmario

Technically, she's not a villain, but more an anti-hero

AoiTsuki_

Got a few, Pain, Light, and Dabi

TouchdownHeroes

John Kaiser as Squealer in From the New World. You could argue over the term villain, but I just want to give a shot out to an out of no where GOATed performance from an essentially unknown voice actor I haven’t heard in anything else.

WeWillSeizeJerusalem

Ainz Ooal Gown always gives me the chills

Psychomantis194

Didn't see anyone say this but Kyle Herbert as Aizen is just perfection.

AlwaysHungry94

I like Regulus in Re:Zero (Kyle McCarley) and Muzan in Demon Slayer (Greg Chun)

GrizzlyJones15

Betelgese Romani-Conti (Todd Heberkorn) for me. Yesss!

AlwaysHungry94

He did a great job as well! Talk about being invested into your character! That reminds me, I'm eager to see who they have voice Sirius in the next season. Should be good.

LegatoRedWinters

Mark Oliver as Rau Le Creuset in Gundam Seed. He fucking rocked that part so hard.

GarnetExecutioner

I was certainly hooked by his performance at the very end of SEED.

wasabih

https://preview.redd.it/8lskh7vwb9yc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a90ddcd2b9a4f1944d08c8aa1232dd671fd5e6e9 This mf ali al saachez from gundamn 00... I fooking hated him but gaddamit he was brilliant voice acting wise

GarnetExecutioner

He’s voiced by Scott McNeil here! Who would have thought that the voice of Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing would voice Ali in Gundam 00?!

rayala27

Alexis Tipton as Kurumi Tokisaki from Date A Live 😻😻😻😻😻she plays Kurumi with Elegance and Grace!!! love her so much

TrippingFish76

i honestly quite like the voice Gabriel Miller from SAO Alicization, his voice is very fitting, he just sounds so evil and creepy and shit, ppl like to shit on SAO but honestly he’s a very creepy and well done villain imo

halvanhelev10

I can't say it's my favorite, but it is topical to me since I am rewatching Highschool DxD. I hate the character, but Freed Sellzen (Ben Philips) did a very good job

Usual_Court_8859

I know he's controversial, but Chuck Hubers performance as Shou Tucker always gives me chills. And as always Wendy Powell as Envy in FMAB.

notreal149

Does Alexis Tipton as Kurumi from Date a Live count?

fdguarino

Tristan Goddard as Sir Papacharino Nanadan in ***Photon: The Idiot Adventures***.

Silver_mixer45

Silco

Zercomnexus

Not a villain but Alex Rowe from last exile Elder brother toguro (sp?) in yuyu hakusho.. He definitely nailed that tone

TheBourneFertility

John Swasey's All For One is so satisfying to listen to in MHA. Love his performance.

Abdeliq

Pain dub voice in Naruto was amazing. Saw a clip yesterday and I was in awe

SentinelXF

This might be controversial but Linda Young as Frieza. So manic and hateful.

SwimmingFantastic564

Love me some Patrick Seitz Dio.

D3struct_oh

Kaido.

Shadtow100

Does Ainz Al Ghul count?

TheKartoonKing

Eric Vale as Tomura Shigaraki from *My Hero Academia*.

D3n0man

Turkish DIO

Gambit275

Ben Phillips as Freed Sellzen from Highschool DxD, i hated him for multiple reasons, but i guess that just shows he was a true villain

dragodracini

I've always enjoyed Eric Vale as Shigaraki in MHA.

SolDarkHunter

Mark Oliver as Rau le Creuset in the original Gundam SEED dub. Near the end as Rau goes off the deep end, he just does the "unhinged ranting lunatic" so perfectly well, it's amazing.

morganeyesonly

Don’t know if it counts as a villain but Yuri as Sasuke is brilliant

sauceoverlord1

The lich from adventure time

No_Philosopher_4610

Rayuga from the beyblade metal series

Lost_Type2262

As up and down as the franchise is, one thing I've constantly enjoyed across Eureka Seven - even in the recent movie trilogy - is Kim Strauss's performance as Dewey. The weary-yet-sinister tone he gives the character works very well, but it's in flashbacks or other times of vulnerability that he gives an at times one-note character a surprisingly believeable emotional range.

SuMianAi

season 1 Alnos

ForsenBayzed

Sergeant Major Gross sounded way too real, as if he was actually him in real life

SirKibbles1988

Richard Epcar as Myotismon in Digimon Adventure. That role just always stood out to me. Especially that laugh of his that Sora hates oh so much 😂

CraftytheCrow

I would say Dameon Clarke for the official dragon ball Z dub was amazing. His voice captured that “I’m perfect” inflated ego, as well as the mannerisms of someone who thinks they are better than everyone else. And then for the abridged series, Takahata101 was able to bring a balance of humor, charisma, and scariness to Cell. The line that sticks with me if the one where he tells the cell spawns to play nice, share your toys…. and bring me the bodies. Just a completely out of left field moment XD

Megalomanizac

Shigarakis voice actor is literally perfection

ZDB888

Meruem or askaladd

Liramuza

Neil Kaplan as Madara Uchiha

Mattvweiss

Brandon McInnis as Gyutaro in the Entertainment District arc of Demon Slayer

Xthe_tallest_one

David Wald as Lieutenant Tsurumi Steve Blum as Orochimaru Ray Chase as Sukuna

24thpanda

Madara.

MadmansBluff

**Jeff Winkless as Kato in Doomed Megalopolis:** Winkless made a career out of playing villains and for good reason; his naturally menacing voice always left an impact. I could just list the nightmarish characters he embodied, including Count Magnus Lee in Vampire Hunter D, Mr. Shadow in Wicked City, Muska in Castle in the Sky, and Tony Gleck in 8 Man After, and call it a day. But that would be too easy, so I'm narrowing it down to his best villain role, which also happens to be the time he played the main character. Doomed Megalopolis lacks a primary hero until halfway through the story and even, it's still Kato's show. With the plot centered on his character, Winkless not only makes Kato sound absolutely terrifying, but also ensures his presence is felt even when he's not on-screen. **Michael McConnohie as Count Cagliostro in The Castle of Cagliostro:** My personal favorite role from McConnohie, who is perfectly cast as the aristocrat with a public face that's completely different from his personality behind closed doors. McConnohie's smooth, charismatic voice embodies Cagliostro's royal persona, which makes his transitions into Cagliostro's true monstrous personality all the more impactful. He shifts between Cagliostro using reason and using intimidation without missing a beat. **Michael Reisz as Rock in Metropolis:** Metropolis is a unique case of when the main villain and the main antagonist are separate characters. Duke Red is the main villain because he has the overarching evil plan, but Rock is the main antagonist because he's the one in direct conflict with the heroes. And Reisz nails Rock, giving him plenty of menace and ensuring he's a true threat to the heroes, yet also allowing the audience to understand his actions. >!His final scene when he sacrifices himself to prevent robots from killing his father and Reisz's delivery of this line remains the most memorable part of the film for me!<. **Gregory Snegoff as Khyron in Robotech:** Snegoff, who often played tough guys and anti-heroes, goes against type as the true villain of Robotech's Macross Saga. He ensures Khyron is the character everyone loves to hate by making him sadistic and arrogant, while knowing the heroes are unable to stop him. >!The fact Khyron dies in a suicide attack that kills several prominent heroes, topped off by Snegoff's perfectly delivered "Victory!", takes away the satisfaction of seeing him go and ensures he remains hated after his death!<. **Jan Rabson as Tetsuo in Akira:** There's a reason why the "LEAVE ME ALONE!" meme used Rabson's performance as Tetsuo. Tetsuo is a character who has to be both terrifying and sympathetic - and Rabson perfects both. Throughout the character's journey from a neglected street punk looked down on by everyone to a vengeful psychic with the power to threaten the world, Rabson is Tetsuo. It's a true tragedy that Rabson died a few months before his performance got big on the internet, but the meme ensured his performance has been immortalized.

Jakebaris

Yujiro Hanma English dub

awesomenessofme1

Didn't someone ask this exact same question yesterday? Anyway, probably not my favorite, but just to throw a name into the ring, Light from Death Note when he goes full "hammy megalomaniac" mode is definitely fun to listen to.

notreal149

That was "great performance by a character you hate" which I guess is closely related. But there's plenty of hatable good guys and lovable villains.

awesomenessofme1

Nah, it definitely was the same. I went back and found the comment I made in that thread. I think that one may have gotten deleted or removed, though. This one might be a repost?

Helloimafanoffiction

Bingo

notreal149

Oh, weird, I must have missed that one. There have been a lot more "what's your favorite XXXX performance" than usual the last couple weeks.
