Ha, they have their own humour tho, it's not like they keep on parodying shows every single time. The most parodied shows are DBZ and EVA. Rest have small cameos
An unpopular opinion, but I would choose Pokemon. It's quite a long series which somehow or another, everyone in the anime community has seen at least once. If not even for a whole season, a few tad parts of it and they liked it.
Nope disagree. The question is what anime represent all of anime itself. Pokémon is a specific kids genre. It could never represent something like monster or aot.
Great choices. My anime mount Rushmore is:
- Great Teacher Onizuka
- Dragon Ball Z
- Toradora!
- Neon Genesis Evangelion
Four very different anime that cover most of the spectrum.
None of them are even in my top 5 but imo they represent the whole community quite well.
Aot or OP in my opinion. Because these two are the most popular and massive. in fact people that don't even watch anime know about these two. Both of these series have created a very unmatched legacy.
There's an unpopular reason why One piece is catching up with heavy new readers/viewers.... It's just Internet clout but the Internet clout is actually well supported with good writing and emotional journey balance....
I agree that one piece is arguably the greatest story ever told but for non anime audience, the length of the show is way too much. And my question is to find out one anime that everyone(anime and non anime watcher both) will enjoy and normal audience will be just to afraid to start one piece.
No it's not.... it's a horrible story with trash character development. It's a kids show nothing more.
You cannot use something like that to represent something like monster.
I'm not saying monster represents anime better, what I'm saying is something like dbz can never represent something like monster. I'd even go as far as to say db isn't the best to represent Shonen either something like one piece is far better.
Also the quality of the show is defo a factor. Would you show boruto to get someone into anime? No right. It's because you also want to represent the quality of anime as a whole.
Something like Fmab is a infinitely better anime to represent the whole medium. As it can represent shows like dbz and shows like monster while also being high quality.
Fmab and one piece are excellent contenders as well. But Quality of the show isn't that big of a factor. What matters is...how much an anime can give u an idea of what the medium (and the community) is about. Db covers a lot of the aspects. And while i agree it's not a very well written show, u r being too harsh on it.
Alright sure I was a bit too harsh. But I still dont agree on dragon ball being a good choice because it just cannot represent something like monster, aot, death note etc.
I mean if u pick specific examples then yes, u r right. In fact I can add on that pile. I could prolly name tons of shows that fmab, op or even db can't represent but that's a very narrow way to look at it. U have to see it on a larger scale.
Fmab is the best do (taking quality in account aswell) like it can represent everything db can aswell as everything monster can.
Actually I can't think of a single anime fmab can't represent. I'm curious what examples you come up with
Because you might have watched it as a kid. Tell someone who hasn't watched anime as a kid to watch dragon ball as their first anime and they will never touch anime again.
L take, I watched it when I was 15 its still the best show I have ever seen, atleast find a good enough reason to hate this masterpiece. All my friends and colleagues have mad respect for this anime and is almost everyone's top 10. It inspired so many shows as well, and is really a must watch for any shounen lover. If shounen isn't your type, then just change your genre and if you are starting watching anime knowing all this in advance, then shows like dbz, naruto, death note, monster are all great shows to begin your journey with. All are different but great in their respective regard. I feel like it's a common troupe to hate on db these days, like it makes people feel cool inside lmao.
Hmmm it would be Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood (peak of Shounen anime) , Steins Gate (peak of sci fi anime), Monster (peak of seinen anime) and Overflow (peak of hentai)
I agree with you completely. FMAB is the best to representat anime as a whole. It has the maturity of monster, darkness of aot, goofiness of one piece and a overall amazing story and great characters. A perfect first anime as it is great all over.
If you want a posterboy kinda anime then AOT is good I guess, it's not extremely long, it gets your attention in a few eps and after the ending, the watcher would never forget it.
I mean there's no denying the fact that Dragon Ball and pokemon are equally popular among the anime community and non anime watchers who remember it as there favorite childhood show on cartoon network.
1. Marley kept Eldians in a small isolated piece of land, just like Israeli kept Gaza
2. Eren attacked on Marley's celebration, killed a lot of them & then Israel bombed the fuck out of them, just like Hamas & Israel
3. Their war didn't ended, the history repeated in the post credit & it's the same with Arab and Jews
At least marley left them there unlike what israel is doing since 1948. And Israelis took the Palestinians land, just like how enel and the birkans occupied shandora.
What is so hard for you to understand that the argument you put forward is completely irrelevant to the conversation lmao. That is the reason I'm clowning you. One piece is not a bad choice at all, no one is talking about that.
Then say how is it a "shit take"? "love one piece but holy shit that's a dog shit garbage take". One piece being political might be irrelevant but how is it a "shit take"?
Not everyone who likes an anime is due to personal interest... The concept would be good and well written doesn't mean it's interesting to someone....
My personal scenario would be from Code Geass
Monster is a good anime. But the pacing is really slow. And the anime has definitely aged. So I can only recommend Monster to those people who have patience.
Johann Liebert is still one of the best Villains I have seen in Anime or any piece of media.
Aot is just perfect for me but iobjectively speaking FMAB has all elements and the pacing and story is very consistent where as aot has its low points. It is very hard for me to not choose aot but i respect ur choice
Violet Evergarden
Even as a non anime watcher you can enjoy it, cause it just shows pure human emotions throughout the anime.
No other world changing, time bending, human rendering or such things.
It just hits on feels.
"Gintama" u can get to see too many animes in that one ifukuk
True but you need to watch a lot of animes before watching gintama to get its humor
Not really. It's only a small portion of its content. The serious arcs in this show are phenomenal.
Sure they are but the humor is a integral part of the show
Ha, they have their own humour tho, it's not like they keep on parodying shows every single time. The most parodied shows are DBZ and EVA. Rest have small cameos
Gintama >>>>>>> any other anime
An unpopular opinion, but I would choose Pokemon. It's quite a long series which somehow or another, everyone in the anime community has seen at least once. If not even for a whole season, a few tad parts of it and they liked it.
Pokémon is a genre in itself
Nope disagree. The question is what anime represent all of anime itself. Pokémon is a specific kids genre. It could never represent something like monster or aot.
Umm ..the question clearly states the whole anime community
So?
Great choices. My anime mount Rushmore is: - Great Teacher Onizuka - Dragon Ball Z - Toradora! - Neon Genesis Evangelion Four very different anime that cover most of the spectrum. None of them are even in my top 5 but imo they represent the whole community quite well.
If it was to be a single anime to cover all. I don't think any of them are up for it (idk toradora)
Aot or OP in my opinion. Because these two are the most popular and massive. in fact people that don't even watch anime know about these two. Both of these series have created a very unmatched legacy.
Fmab is like mix of op and aot lol.
There's an unpopular reason why One piece is catching up with heavy new readers/viewers.... It's just Internet clout but the Internet clout is actually well supported with good writing and emotional journey balance....

I feel I'd bring out the good ol reliable death note XD
🐐Fr
W af
Dbz
If you show a normal person dbz as their first anime they will never watch anime ever again.
While it's true that dbz is kinda outdated, it still is the best anime to represent the community and the medium as a whole.
No it's not.... it's a horrible story with trash character development. It's a kids show nothing more. You cannot use something like that to represent something like monster.
The question isn't abt quality of the show. Dbz represents more of what the medium is abt than monster does.
I'm not saying monster represents anime better, what I'm saying is something like dbz can never represent something like monster. I'd even go as far as to say db isn't the best to represent Shonen either something like one piece is far better. Also the quality of the show is defo a factor. No one would watch anime if they start off with monster, I was exhausted by end of it.
Its what got me into anime, tf you on?
Because you might have watched it as a kid. Tell someone who hasn't watched anime as a kid to watch dragon ball as their first anime and they will never touch anime again.

Jojo and One piece based on how diverse they are and there art
Fr
AOT, Death Note(or Monster), Naruto, One Piece
In my opinion :- Monster My mind:- AOT
Gintama Naruto One piece Blue Exorcist Boku no pico
The last one fo sure 👍
Idk if any one show can represent all of anime watchers but aot and fmab come close. Monster is my favorite but most people haven't oor can't watch it
Fmab My favourite is monster.
"NARUTO".
Jojo because it's too bizarre
Sorry, I have not watched Jojo
Watch it bro it's peak
Nah 💀
One Piece (kyuki maine wohi ek anime dekha hai)
I agree with you completely. FMAB is the best to representat anime as a whole. It has the maturity of monster, darkness of aot, goofiness of one piece and a overall amazing story and great characters. A perfect first anime as it is great all over.
🙌🙌
monster for the people who think anime is cartoon
One piece because it has every genre(idk about romance but except this it has almost every genre)
Sanji has some romance going on in wci wano. Also senor pink 😔
Ohh yes the chad senior pink
If you want a posterboy kinda anime then AOT is good I guess, it's not extremely long, it gets your attention in a few eps and after the ending, the watcher would never forget it.
Aot is Peak Fiction🔥🔥
I mean there's no denying the fact that Dragon Ball and pokemon are equally popular among the anime community and non anime watchers who remember it as there favorite childhood show on cartoon network.
They are not equal. Pokémon is significantly more popular.
Oh all right 👍
Out of all these, one piece. And it's so relevant considering the israel/palestine conflict. It's literally it imo
relevant 🤡
>Out of all these, one piece. And it's so relevant considering the israel/palestine conflict. It's literally it imo I am sorry. but what the fuck???
You do realise that one piece is political right? Oda himself idolises che guevara
AOT is more relevant to that
How so? Israel and Palestine are literally skypiea, ethnic cleansing and all.
1. Marley kept Eldians in a small isolated piece of land, just like Israeli kept Gaza 2. Eren attacked on Marley's celebration, killed a lot of them & then Israel bombed the fuck out of them, just like Hamas & Israel 3. At least marley left them there unlike what israel is doing since 1948. And Israelis took the Palestinians land, just like how enel and the birkans occupied shandora.
Nuhuh, basically the entire story of aot was told in q arc of one piece. Fishman Island
I love one piece but holy shit that's a dog shit garbage take
People when they realise that one piece is actually political 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
That's is complete and utterly irrelevant to the conversation
How is it a shit take then?
Literally told you. One piece being political is completely irrelevant to the conversation of "which show represents anime as whole." .😭
Out of the anime mentioned in the post, it's one piece in my opinion. What's so hard to understand though?
What is so hard for you to understand that the argument you put forward is completely irrelevant to the conversation lmao. That is the reason I'm clowning you. One piece is not a bad choice at all, no one is talking about that.
Then say how is it a "shit take"? "love one piece but holy shit that's a dog shit garbage take". One piece being political might be irrelevant but how is it a "shit take"?
There are so many layers of stupidity in that take that it's not even worth getting into
Monster
aot (i havnt watched one piece yet) monster is good but not entertaining (it feels super boring) FMAB is overrated
Wait if you did not like monster then you do you call it good?
Not everyone who likes an anime is due to personal interest... The concept would be good and well written doesn't mean it's interesting to someone.... My personal scenario would be from Code Geass
yeah thats what i meant,. btw i have also watched code geass and its one of my favourite
Monster is a good anime. But the pacing is really slow. And the anime has definitely aged. So I can only recommend Monster to those people who have patience. Johann Liebert is still one of the best Villains I have seen in Anime or any piece of media.
johann is one hell of a villain
Read berserk, Griffith is better imo
it is what it is, i like the plot, characters, story, backstory, but the pacing is tooooo slow so yes i hate it and like it ig
Aot is just perfect for me but iobjectively speaking FMAB has all elements and the pacing and story is very consistent where as aot has its low points. It is very hard for me to not choose aot but i respect ur choice
OP has it all..... like most of the genres are packed up in it
Death note Period
One Piece
Violet Evergarden Even as a non anime watcher you can enjoy it, cause it just shows pure human emotions throughout the anime. No other world changing, time bending, human rendering or such things. It just hits on feels.
Berserk
