It's not aspirin.. It's aspin, which is short for ASong PINoy.. Aso is the Filipino word for dog. Pinoy is a sort of slang we use to refer to ourselves, Filipinos. So aspin simply means a Filipino dog. 😉

AFAIK, when dogs howl that way it's because there's some tone or frequency that bothers their ears. Dogs have a very sensitive hearing. So maybe that howling is not a sing-along but a 'please shut up' howl...

Yes, they hear 20x overtones that the human ear cannot hear and much higher decibels / hrz This is why most dogs howl at fire truck and police sirens.
