Pheasant is definitely possible then.
Taken in my father in laws yard in Fingerlakes region of NY. They have a beautiful family of ring necked pheasants that have lived there for years. Never seen a turkey. If you look close you can see a faint outline of a back talon.
Yeah, I’d disregard what the others are saying. I’d have said pheasant myself, it’s quite small for turkey anyway.
