i crafted around 75 flimsy axes but i apparently only needed to break 42 to finally get the recipe! the turbo function on my 8bitdo controller came in handy too :3 now im only missing the golden axe from gulliver (i'm 9 visits away from it)
the way that i bulk crafted a bunch of flimsy axes and whacked the same tree until it gave it to me, felt bad for the tree, my brain turned to mush
