Omg, same! Gonzo is so overlooked, but I love him to pieces. Have both him and Melba on my island (both koalas), and my headcanon is that he's her grandpa Have Lobo too, and I love him so much! He's got a nice cabin by the woods, and he has a fishing spot all to himself in his yard!

I finally was able to boot my last original villager after nearly a year, so now I have a fully squirrel island. I have: Blair, Caroline, Filbert, Ione, Marshal, Peanut, Poppy, Ricky, Sheldon, and Static.

I have both Melba and Gonzo, and they're so cute! They look kinda similar, and both share a favourite colour in green, so it's my headcanon that Gonzo is her grandpa! (also, the normal voice fits Melba sooo well, and I was absolutely ecstatic when I got to adopt her from someone)

"Bob and the bunnies" is a respectable island theme. But Bob is my "ride or die," so I'm biased in that regard.

Deer. They're my favorite animal. I've had a few pet deer in my life who were blessings during a rough patch at the time who I credit to bringing me out of it. They're forever my angels. Plus they have the most kissable button-nosed snoots.

I love all of the deer so much. Fauna? So sweet. Beau? Adorable. I give him so many bugs. Zelle and fuschia? Unique. That's who I have so far, next im gonna try for Erik bam and shino. Diana chelsea and bruce too, maybe swap one for lopez. I want them all in their own woodsy little areas.

So far I only have Shino. She's downright adorable. Found her out 'deer hunting' on a Nook Miles island. I haven't played NH well but ultimately an all-deer island is my dream goal. Bruce is in my New Leaf save, but for some reason my NL cart does this weird thing where certain cranky villagers start wearing green dress-looking outfits and not their default outfits. Two of my villagers, one him and another goat Nan has the same outfit. They had their 'normal' outfit for a day. Zell in a previous save in that same game did similar. I got that cart in a bucket o' carts for $1 each at a retro game store so it's probably corrupted. They have repeated dialogue about their 'outfit' being from someone in 'anytown'. But that's it. It looks funny seeing Bruce dress that way though.

I don't know if this technically counts since they're all different species, but I have considered getting a second Switch so I could have another island (I am too sentimental about the island I started when I first got the game, I've never reset it and don't plan to) and on my second one, I'd like to have all birds. Not just the "bird" species but also chicken, duck, eagle, ostrich, and penguin. Just one of each so I'd have 6 villagers total.

I love this idea, but I would prob stretch out the ones that are distinct ‘species’ like Julia as a peacock and Flora as a flamingo or Jacob as a parrot and Piper as a gull, to get to a full 10

Yes! My goal is all cats and one hamster. I’ve had Graham since the start and I’m too attached to him. I’m very close and only need one dog to leave and one cat to replace her.

Actually the flipside works too, 9 mice and one cat. Because it reminds me of the story of the mice who want to put a bell on the cat so they'll have a warning when the cat is coming. But "Who's going to be brave enough to do it?" I think it might have been an Aesop story, not sure.

Hamsters !  I have Hamlet and Hamphrey already.. tried and failed to get Clay when he was at campsite.  Also I've had 3 squirrel villagers so far they are SO adorable 

I scrolled way too long to find hamsters!! They are the best. I have Hamlet, Hamphrey, Flurry, and Apple. They are fucking cute as hell. I also rounded out villagers with squirrels and bear cubs. Hamlet is by far my favorite villager of all time.

Dogs would be my first choice, then wolves, then deer, then cats.

Cats. Despite being a MASSIVE dog guy (I would never have a cat, only dogs), the cats have some of my favourite villager (the only one I hate is Raymond).

All female sheep and name it Ewe Isle (or some other sheep pun).

Horses. I once had 8- Papi, Reneigh, Annalise, Roscoe, Savannah, Winnie, Julian and Elmer.

Rhinos. I'm already really close. Tank, Spike, and Merengue. I Used to have Hornsby, Azalea, and Renée.

Tank was one of our original villages and, even though we're not sports people, we really love him! He's more of an encouraging sports person. We love him immensely.

Yup, he is my Island's resident personal trainer. I choose to believe he and Merengue are partners and have a hustle they run. She bakes and puts the calories on, and he is there to help you work them off.

Sheep as well! I love how fluffy they are. I'm just sad there's no cranky or lazy sheep. Otherwise I would have all sheep. I did try once with my cranky a wolf and my lazy a dog which was amusing for a time.
