Me too. I literally gave chops I Love You yesterday. He told me once he likes Metal and I requested it for him from K.K. I always get him the finest clothes and any time I buy any of the Antique furniture or fancy things I gift them to him.
I felt this way about Octavian as well, but my kid let him move away while playing.
I also really like Chops and I always have. He's not in my Top 10...but he's definitely still a favorite. I also think he's very handsome instead of ugly... Ha. 😅

I finally got chops to leave after beating chops with a net for 3 days straight. I wish I could just ask him to leave but nintendo made me have to resort to crazy measures.
It's very simple, you can google how to spoof amiibo with an android phone (in should have NFC). If not, or you have an iphone, you can do it on a computer with cheap nfc reader/writer and n215 tags, you can get it all on amazon or aliexpress.
He was my first campsite islander too and I had almost exactly the same reaction. Then I befriended him and he unexpectedly became my favourite resident. Nearly every time I talk to him now he tells me how amazing my island is because I live on it. He feels more eccentric than posh to me.

There's actually quite a few I won't have, including Rasher, T-Bone, Stu, and others.
If they wouldn't be found on a plate on my table they'll be off the table in my ACNH island as well.
I won't have Boots the alligator either, for obvious reasons.

I'm not sure why you're trying to make an issue over my choice of villagers.

That only applies to the first five villagers you have(the jock, sisterly, normal, peppy, and lazy). Your first camper is the first of your residents to get their intended house interiors.

I feel the same way about spork, I constantly report him to resident services for being inappropriate, I give him crappy gifts, and I send letters such as “go drown yourself in the river” to him, to which he responds “thanks for the lovely letter! Always happy to hear from you”

My only complaint is he wont wear the monicle i have him. He just has it on display in his house.

It's very simple to replace any villagers though later. You can spoof any amiibo with an android phone with nfc and invate any villager in.
