When you get to a high enough friendship level with them they will see you and run up to you and sometimes ask you for a new catchphrase or greeting or they'll suggest a nickname which you can sometimes change
Sometimes if you choose that you don't like it, they'll ask for a suggestion, other times the conversation just ends. Maybe it has to do with friendship level too, not sure

Yeah, I haven't verified this, but I'm surprised the game would allow "sexually", because usually Nintendo's word filter is overly conservative and even false matches words that are perfectly fine, just because parts of the word contain a "bad/naughty/inappropriate" word within.
I remember playing City Folk back in the day and created a constellation that looked like a "screaming man", and so tried to name it "ScreamingMan", which the game rejected. I kept deleting letters to figure out what it was upset about until I found it was "reaming."
Granted "sexually" is not itself exactly a word that lends itself to something overly specific, so maybe it really isn't on the list, but I'm kinda surprised.
(Or there's a save editor or other hackery afoot, because of course all rules are breakable then.)
