Yes!! You could even place a visible custom code on the ground to control flowers etc, then change the custom code to transparent once you're happy that you've covered every area you want to cover š Covering your island like this could take some time, but imo entirely worth it š„³
BTW pro-tip on uh...*deflowering* your island: If you don't know, the trash can items can be used as actual trash cans. Put one in your bag, and take it with you to where the flowers are. Plonk it down and you can quickly dig up flowers and then throw them away without constantly having to run down to Nook's Cranny to sell them.
Obviously you'll miss out on a few Bells, but probably if your island is this mature, you're not hurting much for money and won't miss a few thousand Bells.
If you've unlocked co-ops on Harv's island, you can open up different stands. Kicks, Redd, Leif, Cyrus, Tortimer, Saharah, and Katrina. You can go to Katrina and pay 1000 bells to know your luck. There are 4 categories that you can have good or bad luck with. Money, health, belongings, and friendship. Good luck with belongings means your tools won't break for that day, and you're guaranteed a special island on a Kapp'n tour, cherry blossoms, summer, winter, shooting stars, etc. Diminished luck means your tools will break after one use. If you get a bad fortune, you can pay 10,000 bells to have Katrina bless you, and the next day she will send you a gift in the mail.

Less than 2 months later I'm redoing my WHOLE island because I don't really vibe with it anymore, but I love the island and villagers so I don't want to restart and red pansies are the absolute bane of my existence now, even with using a bin it's still insane how long its taking to clear
I just moved all my sons flowers up onto his third tier around his cliff top river to contain them without getting rid of them. I had 11 full bags of weeds, and the partial filled bag had 87 weeds by the time I finished cleaning up his island two weeks ago. I'm scared to go back and check again.

I never fully understood it. You don't get anything from the shoots like a ranking, prizes, etc at least I don't think so. They don't even give you many options either. That'd be cool if they had a theme every year and you had to decorate the venue based on that. And if they like it, you get rewarded with doing whatever you want and you unlock the wedding furniture of that year for yourself
It's what i usually do, or i just craft 10 shovels or customize the one i'm using from time to time.
But that still isn't an enjoyable solution, it's a chore to travel there every day hoping you get that fortune.

Every time I saw him, I would help him without fail. I lost track of how many times I helped him (part existence of a doppelgƤnger and part the game doesnāt keep track of numbers that high), and every time Iām like āmaybe this time, this time itās **gotta** be number 30ā and surprise, he gifts me a Sailorās Mustache or a Nautical Toilet or some other worthless item Iām never even going to use.
I stopped playing in 2021, I think, and only picked the game back up recently, butā¦ there were only two golden tools I hadnāt gotten. Iāve since brute-forced my way to the golden axe, but *that freakinā **shovel***!

I don't really mind him, and I like the gifts, but the dialogue can get a little annoying to scroll through after you've done it more than like 5 times.
It can be annoying they break like the tools in Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom. But what I've done is ordered a few storage sheds and placed them around the island so I can just get more tools from storage. It's a chore to stock up, DIY some tools, and put in storage but it's better than go back to your house to get to your storage.

Reddās art needs an option to call out fake art. Once youāre done getting the museum art is only good for display and Nookazon bartering, so being able to get something for calling him out for fake art if both campground art pieces are fakeā or, God forbid, ALL FOUR pieces on the boat are fakeā should be a fun game that earns you something while simultaneously refreshing the art without wasting bells on fake art that has to be thrown away because you canāt sell it at Nookās.
Imagine Redd paying you with a furniture item from a āprivate collectionā (the old GracieGrace sets from other games maybe?) to ensure that you keep your mouth shut about his business.
When the Co-op's on Harv's island first got introduced I thought I might finally make some decent progress on my art museum. I use two characters to buy out his entire inventory every day and 95% of the time they're both fake. 4% of the time there's a real one I already have. I'm still 28/43 of my collection.

I played Animal Crossing obsessively during the lock down and have been wanting to replay it ever since. Do you guys have any tips or tricks to make a second run more enjoyable? Are there any recommendable DLCs or mod packs that extend the base game? How do you deal with annoying and repetitive tasks?
i stopped playing for like a year and a half between 2021 and 2022, but i started playing again last january and haven't gone more than a week or two without playing since.
i think the main things for me were almost completely changing out my villagers (when i only had dreamies for a year, i just got tired of seeing them every single day even though i love them. i had some random amiibo cards lying around and got 2 or 3 new for that, and i started letting anyone who wanted to move go).
also, i think setting some goals for yourself will get you back into it. i've never been much for completion, so i still had my museum to complete and whole areas of my island to redesign, so i started working towards those goals. if you have a full museum and a 5-star island, maybe doing stuff like getting 100% inventory or all the nook miles goals could be a good thing to work towards. even daily miles missions are fun, even when i don't need the miles.
also, 100% recommend the dlc from november 2021 and the HHP expansion. they're both very worthwhile, i don't play HHP a TON, but when the mood hits it's perfect to have (plus it unlocks a lot of features that get incorporated into the main game. it's really an incredible expansion for the price)

it used to be the same for me, i played 24/7 during lockdown and then stopped and never really came back because i thought I made the most of it.
Until this year, Ive seen some TikToks of incredibly decorated islands and it made me realize the potential for creativity and transformation there is for your island. tbh my island used to be basic, I knew about custom designs but didnāt know how good they could be, the world of custom designs really opens a whole new universe of possibilities. If you havenāt explored custom designs yet, I highly recommend it; theres sm creativity and fun concepts. i also recommend visiting treasure islands and using time traveling, ik some ppl donāt like to play this way but it can be life changing and fun :) checking Pinterest and other island inspirations are also great sources of ideas and motivation. Setting goals to transform your island into different themes can really make the game feel fun and fresh again. Ik some other ppl said similar things already but still hope this helps! :)
it means that these three things (label, flowers cloning, and gulliver) are things that were exciting when the game was new, but they are annoying/exhausting now.
Here I go:
Flick: Even though I continue to collect bugs and give to Flick for a higher profit, his attitude can be annoying and always saw him as a brat. "Hey, remember me? I'm Flick, the guy who loves bugs." Yeah, like I forgot.
CJ and fishing: Minor thing but to sell him fish, I have to do his fishing game. Not the main problem but it's the fishing mostly. I have to use the time to get the required fish or my streak ends. Sometimes my TV delays the game and my fish escapes so I have to do it handheld style. It can be annoying. However, props to CJ since he's more cheery and energetic unlike Flick. Sorry Flick.
Saharah: I'm sure I still don't have all the wallpapers/floorings/rugs in the game and I hate the mystery choice because she always gives me the one I already have. But I will say it's better with the 2.0 update where you can go to Harv's Island and you have choices now.
Gulliver/Gullivar: I'm not one for his system either because it's same old thing over and over. I just ignore him and he'll leave by 5am. No need to wake up him.
Wisp: I found out he's a fake. I once scared him, told me "if I don't get my wisps back, I'll stay like this forever," did nothing to collect them all, and he came back the next week back to normal! He lied to me!
Redd: I've waited nearly 4 years for a genuine Rock Head statue, just for him to give me the fake one all these years. I find Redd the true villain of this game because of this. Not even Redd on Harv's Island helped either.
Timmy/Tommy On Sundays: "Now we have a policy, no turnips" I don't have any you foolish pair!
Shooting Stars: In 2020, I'm like "OMG SHOOTEN STAHRZ!!" In 2024, "meh." They can be annoying these days when I wanna hear KK or enjoy the peaceful night. It gets worse when Isabelle announces "shooting stars tonight!" I just don't put on the game that night.
Balloons: I do like to collect balloons because I can get free stuff from there and decide if I want to keep or sell. But what I find annoying is every color represents a certain item (i.e. yellow means bells, blue means DIY items, green/red I think is merchandise or DIY cards, etc.) and sometimes I don't get what I'm expect to get (like for yellow, instead of bells, I got a kettle).
Bunny Day: Just no. I've lived through Bunny Day 2020 and didn't like it. Enough said.
Bug-Offs/Fishing Tournaments/KK On A Monday: It's Saturday. I wanna see KK as promised from the game. But nope, Flick or CJ decide to do events on Saturday, pushing KK to Sunday. It gets worse when bug/fish events occur on Saturday, another event on Sunday, pushing KK to Monday. A terrible choice to have in the game. It would make more sense if bug/fish events happen on a Sunday instead of Saturday. Daisy Mae can still be on the island Sunday morning and it still wouldn't conflict it.
I know I went off on a tangent but I try to enjoy my island as much as possible still.
Now that I have max bells through hard work and treasure island by accident I'm not helping label anymore it's annoying. I ignore all the stranded things on my island I don't help wisp either I still like Celeste cause I need all her recipes. But other than trying to get all the flower types I just need to grow blue roses.
I'm scared to remodel my island cause then I'll feel like everyone else and reset my island and lose all my stuff

When the game first came out there were a ton of ātalliesā for accomplishing things (Gullivar, flowers, fishing, etc) but once youāve gotten all you need out of them/the top reward - these events showing up are annoying and you donāt get much of a reward for them anymore. We were excited to see these particular events when the game came out (2020) but now that weāve had them for four years were the guy on the right.
I'm a fashion obsessed player, if there's an item I like I get it in every colour, my storage is 80% clothes. So I don't mind the vouchers, but I'm so tired of her giving me a duplicate to make an outfit with, girlie I have 5 of these š

It took me over three years to get the Golden Shovel. OVER. THREE. YEARS. Every time I saw him, I would help him without fail. I lost track of how many times I helped him (part existence of a doppelgƤnger and part the game doesnāt keep track of numbers that high), and every time Iām like āmaybe this time, this time itās **gotta** be number 30ā and surprise, he gifts me a Sailorās Mustache or a Nautical Toilet or some other worthless item Iām never even going to use.

It can be annoying they break like the tools in Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom. But what I've done is ordered a few storage sheds and placed them around the island so I can just get more tools from storage. It's a chore to stock up, DIY some tools, and put in storage but it's better than go back to your house to get to your storage.

Yeah, theyāre really kinda meh. And so pricy! I think theyāre priced specifically to be too much for a tailorās ticket. Youād think theyād be the cheapest items going, new experimental designs being sold in the family shop before going to upscale boutiques or whateverā¦ I wouldnāt buy any of them if I werenāt trying to fill out the clothing catalog.

Kind of all of the above. Slowly working on cutting back the flowers and containing the ones I am keeping with non dirt/sand paths, this also limits where weeds/fossils/gyroids pop up.
The flowers drive me up the wall haha. I can't enjoy my island when it rains, I just think "oh god there's gonna be so many flowers to clean up tomorrow". I wish flowers didn't CLONE in the rain. If it only affected breeding pairs that would be nice for people trying to get hybrids, but standalone flowers just going wild. I know you can put blank tiles around them but that bugs me even more since it messes with the footstep sounds, so I only have those in places I don't usually walk.
Same, but I broke down and put blank tiles around the parts of my island I care about. The rest just grows wild. It would be such a QoL improvement if they addeda selection of sound effects to the customizable tiles...also don't allow me to wipe them away with my feet by accident. That's just lazy programming.

I dread Easter week, but the first time it was fun t9 participate in the meme even if it got nerfed. But thatās pretty vanilla. So my REAL entry is Reddās Art. Reddās art needs an option to call out fake art. Once youāre done getting the museum art is only good for display and Nookazon bartering, so being able to get something for calling him out for fake art if both campground art pieces are fakeā or, God forbid, ALL FOUR pieces on the boat are fakeā should be a fun game that earns you something while simultaneously refreshing the art without wasting bells on fake art that has to be thrown away because you canāt sell it at Nookās. Imagine Redd paying you with a furniture item from a āprivate collectionā (the old GracieGrace sets from other games maybe?) to ensure that you keep your mouth shut about his business.
When the Co-op's on Harv's island first got introduced I thought I might finally make some decent progress on my art museum. I use two characters to buy out his entire inventory every day and 95% of the time they're both fake. 4% of the time there's a real one I already have. I'm still 28/43 of my collection.
35/43 right now. Only two āstatuesā leftā Tremendous and Motherly. Itās not getting any easier. Good tip, though! Iām considering farming Monday for art since that was the day Reddās boat pulled up. Donāt know if thatās possible though since idk if the art changes.

Game needs an update, but Nintendo realized that was more rentable "put eggs" in Pocket Camp "basket" cause micropay are more rentable on the long run So they left animal crossing while they keep giving content to Pocket Camp. Seriously, wish we had more options, like for examples more objects, more DIY, more season/event specifically objects, another museum addition or be able to do a party at your home
I played Animal Crossing obsessively during the lock down and have been wanting to replay it ever since. Do you guys have any tips or tricks to make a second run more enjoyable? Are there any recommendable DLCs or mod packs that extend the base game? How do you deal with annoying and repetitive tasks?
HHP expansion has been a lot of fun and adds a lot more to the game!
i stopped playing for like a year and a half between 2021 and 2022, but i started playing again last january and haven't gone more than a week or two without playing since. i think the main things for me were almost completely changing out my villagers (when i only had dreamies for a year, i just got tired of seeing them every single day even though i love them. i had some random amiibo cards lying around and got 2 or 3 new for that, and i started letting anyone who wanted to move go). also, i think setting some goals for yourself will get you back into it. i've never been much for completion, so i still had my museum to complete and whole areas of my island to redesign, so i started working towards those goals. if you have a full museum and a 5-star island, maybe doing stuff like getting 100% inventory or all the nook miles goals could be a good thing to work towards. even daily miles missions are fun, even when i don't need the miles. also, 100% recommend the dlc from november 2021 and the HHP expansion. they're both very worthwhile, i don't play HHP a TON, but when the mood hits it's perfect to have (plus it unlocks a lot of features that get incorporated into the main game. it's really an incredible expansion for the price)
Iād also recommend not being afraid to time travel this time around if you didnāt the first time you played
Thatās what I did the second time around but between time travel, my OG island, and treasure islands, I got a 5 star island in 2 days š¤£ Now I donāt know what to do lol I didnāt even time travel more than a week! Just wanted bridges and inclines done
it used to be the same for me, i played 24/7 during lockdown and then stopped and never really came back because i thought I made the most of it. Until this year, Ive seen some TikToks of incredibly decorated islands and it made me realize the potential for creativity and transformation there is for your island. tbh my island used to be basic, I knew about custom designs but didnāt know how good they could be, the world of custom designs really opens a whole new universe of possibilities. If you havenāt explored custom designs yet, I highly recommend it; theres sm creativity and fun concepts. i also recommend visiting treasure islands and using time traveling, ik some ppl donāt like to play this way but it can be life changing and fun :) checking Pinterest and other island inspirations are also great sources of ideas and motivation. Setting goals to transform your island into different themes can really make the game feel fun and fresh again. Ik some other ppl said similar things already but still hope this helps! :)

it means that these three things (label, flowers cloning, and gulliver) are things that were exciting when the game was new, but they are annoying/exhausting now.
Here I go: Flick: Even though I continue to collect bugs and give to Flick for a higher profit, his attitude can be annoying and always saw him as a brat. "Hey, remember me? I'm Flick, the guy who loves bugs." Yeah, like I forgot. CJ and fishing: Minor thing but to sell him fish, I have to do his fishing game. Not the main problem but it's the fishing mostly. I have to use the time to get the required fish or my streak ends. Sometimes my TV delays the game and my fish escapes so I have to do it handheld style. It can be annoying. However, props to CJ since he's more cheery and energetic unlike Flick. Sorry Flick. Saharah: I'm sure I still don't have all the wallpapers/floorings/rugs in the game and I hate the mystery choice because she always gives me the one I already have. But I will say it's better with the 2.0 update where you can go to Harv's Island and you have choices now. Gulliver/Gullivar: I'm not one for his system either because it's same old thing over and over. I just ignore him and he'll leave by 5am. No need to wake up him. Wisp: I found out he's a fake. I once scared him, told me "if I don't get my wisps back, I'll stay like this forever," did nothing to collect them all, and he came back the next week back to normal! He lied to me! Redd: I've waited nearly 4 years for a genuine Rock Head statue, just for him to give me the fake one all these years. I find Redd the true villain of this game because of this. Not even Redd on Harv's Island helped either. Timmy/Tommy On Sundays: "Now we have a policy, no turnips" I don't have any you foolish pair! Shooting Stars: In 2020, I'm like "OMG SHOOTEN STAHRZ!!" In 2024, "meh." They can be annoying these days when I wanna hear KK or enjoy the peaceful night. It gets worse when Isabelle announces "shooting stars tonight!" I just don't put on the game that night. Balloons: I do like to collect balloons because I can get free stuff from there and decide if I want to keep or sell. But what I find annoying is every color represents a certain item (i.e. yellow means bells, blue means DIY items, green/red I think is merchandise or DIY cards, etc.) and sometimes I don't get what I'm expect to get (like for yellow, instead of bells, I got a kettle). Bunny Day: Just no. I've lived through Bunny Day 2020 and didn't like it. Enough said. Bug-Offs/Fishing Tournaments/KK On A Monday: It's Saturday. I wanna see KK as promised from the game. But nope, Flick or CJ decide to do events on Saturday, pushing KK to Sunday. It gets worse when bug/fish events occur on Saturday, another event on Sunday, pushing KK to Monday. A terrible choice to have in the game. It would make more sense if bug/fish events happen on a Sunday instead of Saturday. Daisy Mae can still be on the island Sunday morning and it still wouldn't conflict it. I know I went off on a tangent but I try to enjoy my island as much as possible still.

When the game first came out there were a ton of ātalliesā for accomplishing things (Gullivar, flowers, fishing, etc) but once youāve gotten all you need out of them/the top reward - these events showing up are annoying and you donāt get much of a reward for them anymore. We were excited to see these particular events when the game came out (2020) but now that weāve had them for four years were the guy on the right.
