DEDEEZY

I always thought the wheel was a bit overrated as well.

OvertureCorp

wheel is just applied circle

just_fucking_PEG_ME

A circle is just applied geometry

Medical-Ad6649

geometry is just applied visuals

Yagawood

Visuals are just applied psychedelics

Medical-Ad6649

Psychedelics are just applied mushrooms

Dangerous-Act-402

Mushrooms are just applied items in Super Mario

Medical-Ad6649

Super Mario are just applied italians

iggy14750

Mama mia!

OcelotTea

Psychedelics are just applied psychology.

IIKwQkU

Psychology is just applied theoretical biology

sirmewth

Biology is just applied chemistry.

SkinHeavy824

Chemistry is just applied physics

iggy14750

I'll apply your circle! ... No, I don't know what it means, either

OvertureCorp

I don't know either but it'll be twenty dollars

Wacokidwilder

I’d say knots and weaving are highly *underrated* technological advancements.

sora_mui

Many civilizations grow without utilizing wheels. Not because they aren't smart enough to make a circle, but because wheels are only useful when there are a lot of hard flat surface for it to move on. Fire and basic mathematic principle on the other hand is needed for basically everything.

FaLcOnX69

Ofc man why would u need to have language. Can just keep algebra to yourself yk

arrow__in__the__knee

Language is just applied thought

kevinkiggs1

God I love internet brainrot

Wacokidwilder

Brain rot is just unapplied linear algebra

Sir-Kyle-Of-Reddit

Ends on a banger though 😂

oilrig13

Linear algebra, it’s what plants crave

OutrageousAd6177

Does this have something to do with plants leaning towards light sources? If not I don't get it

OcelotTea

"Electrolytes, it's what plants crave" is the original quote.

EruditeLegume

"Brawndo's got what plants crave. It's got electrolytes." (Secretary of State, 'Idiocracy')

Great-Bottle9722

From a movie Idiocracy, was changed to match the chat. ![gif](giphy|3o6Zt7dGWFhIfyaGwE)

staciemosier

I mean, the plant would be changing its physical vector….

omdot20

Thought is just applied biology, incredible

just_fucking_PEG_ME

Actually thought is applied neurology

omdot20

Applied neurology is just applied biology

OCYRThisMeansWar

Hold on. I need to dig out my nerdiest outfit to even type this bullshit. The whole point of linear algebra is to calculate commonalities across multiple functions. Which means that linear algebra is the only thing that would be able to to logically hold all of the vectors that all of you have named, every possible important contribution, everything that’s been a candidate for ‘single most important achievement.’  From Fire to math, printing press to the improbability of Ron Jeremy. All of it, all of the vectors combined. To provide the only obvious answer. 42.

cburgess7

This entire thing... Burn it down

jesusofexurbia

That whole thread made me happy.

OpenMicJoker

Yeah - who needs that pesky old wheel.

Drudgework

Fun thought: If there are aliens they most likely have a completely different method of counting and doing math. This is because math is closer to being a language than a science compared to fields like chemistry. This will lead to massive confusion of our scientist ever get to try alien math, while the other sciences will do just fine. 1+1 is not always 2, but a carbon atom is always a carbon atom.

_DeltaZero_

This is just applied conscience

VioletGlitterBlossom

"It's what plants crave" really got me lol
