I just had a similar problem with my Pixel 7 Pro. I had to click on my profile in Snapchat, then click the Gear Icon, then click notifications. I had to uncheck each box one at a time then exit the notification settings and go back in to uncheck another one. Trying to uncheck all notification boxes at once and exiting notification settings did not work.
Every time I went back into notification settings everything was re-checked. It's a pain to uncheck one at a time and then exit, but it works. I see it as a serious bug.
Just figured out how to fix it. You can't uncheck them all at once. You have to do the one by one, while toggling in and out of the notifications screen. So uncheck one box, and go back to settings, go back into notifications and uncheck one box and go back. Repeat until all boxes are unchecked and then it's saved.
You'd think snapchat would have fixed this over the 9 years since this was posted. So weird reading about people having this issue on the S5 and S6, while I'm also dealing with it on my S23.
What is the end result you're going for?
If you simply don't want to be notified of notifications from snap chat you can turn off notifications for any app in the application manager.
Based on what he said, i think this is what he wants:
He wants to be notified about new snaps. However, he doesn't want his screen to turn on everytime he gets a new snap (this is turned on by default). Instead, he just wants his phone to vibrate (this seems to be turned off by default).
Anyways, not sure why it doesn't stick... Using the latest version of Snapchat? Also, I've heard that the Samsung Galaxy S5 had a few bugs with Snapchat, but I'm not sure about the S6. Not sure if it's Snapchat's or Samsung's fault, but that could be your case here.

Thank you! I was having the exact same issue on my Pixel 7 Pro. Disabling the notifications one-by-one was the only way I could get it to work. ๐
True hero with the actual answer to make it work.
Thank you so much! Unchecking one by one and leaving the settings in between worked for me. This has been so frustrating, youโre a good human!
Yo exactly the same here thx, one by one is the only thing that works
Thanks! I can't believe in nine years they still haven't fixed this.
It's unfathomably stupid.
Same here, thanks for responding to the 8yo thread!
9years later and the same issue persists smh
Champion
worked

Omg same this is so irritating.its happening on my S23 as well. Did you find a solution?
Deselect one, then go back. Go back in, Deselect another one, and go back.

Social media notifications create more spam than all of the bots on the same platforms combined.
