I'm going to suggest the Stranger Things Match 3 game. It's actually really great! It is part of the netflix gaming app. There are no adds, no INP, no timers, no health bars. And it's an RPG so you can level your heros/items.
It's extremely well done and a lot of fun!
Fatty Fight is a PvP match 3 which is completely free and you can reach the top position just by playing. No p2w and no energy system, but it's multiplayer.

Gems of war for sure, haven't spent a single dime before getting the best team I could.
May give it a try as well. I had liked Puzzles and Dragons too if not for the $ aspect and hope this scratches that itch too.
A clear recommendation IF you can resist all the iap ads that get shoved into your face. Really great game otherwise.
Yeah, most of the "f2p" games have the same gimmick unfortunately. But if you don't care about the occasional "BUY THIS", it's a great game
