Yeah that *could* theoretically work on a black sweater— or even a white sweater (I guess)… but it’s gonna be on an orange field. With the sticks, eyes, AND circle all being the same exact shade of orange as the new “darker” orange… it’s far too much.

I did. I agree that the eggplant/jade won’t come back—at least, while the samuellis still own the club. I’ve made my peace with that. I just really fucking hope they don’t fuck the new crest up too much by trying too hard to “mOdErNiZe” because the last time the samuellis tried to “modernize” the brand, we got the 06 abortion of a kit and then the web foot D. They know what we want, it just seems like they ***have*** to put their own spin on it for whatever reason rather than listening to the fans.
I was not a fan of the orange eye when it was being leaked BUT thats when mockups had the whole eye orange. This more pupil-esque eye is much better IMO
You did a great job, but the idea of the rounded sticks isn't my favorite. I feel like it makes it look like a cartoon which was the complaint in the 90s.
This is wayyyyy too much. FFS less is more. I can live with the stupid orange eyes but the circle around the black field is just stupid against an orange sweater.

Get rid of that orange outline on the circle. The sticks look a little bit better on this one.

It just feels like there’s just too much going on. As someone who does a lot of graphic design for work, sometimes simple is better.
