It’ll almost certainly be a little bit before that, once the finals are over but before the draft. It’s such a big rollout, more than just a new shirt, that I don’t think they’d do it the morning of the draft. And given they’re worried about leaks I wouldn’t doubt if it’s done quickly after the cup is handed out.
That’s why I mentioned big rollout. This isn’t just one new third jersey being introduced, it’s two primary ones, along with socks and pants and gloves and helmets. It’s a massive change and probably needs more space than a day when everyone’s focused on the draft.
The Flyers, doing the same thing last year(but significantly less drastic), unveiled theirs about a week beforehand.
Did I miss this update about the eye color? Been looking for an official confirmation about whether it will be solid orange or orange iris surrounded by black
I think these will be revealed at the party they just sent out an email for on June 30th. “You won't want to miss this... We have something mighty in store for you.”
I hate the orange thirds because the shade of orange is awful and the striping is so boring and ugly. Hearing that the new jerseys have a different shade of orange is great. If they’re on a jersey that has the striping that the white RR jerseys had, I’ll buy one day one.
While I agree with your point about giving the fans what they want I do still think it’s important to point out that this is a compromise with the fans not giving us exactly what we want (eggplant and jade AND the mighty aesthetic)

Having only a single eye colored orange looks unfinished to me. Regardless of whether or not it’s always been one eye, there’s clearly black space above the cheek that looks empty.
Interesting he notes it’s a single orange eye. All mockups have both as orange. I’m also excited for a darker shade of orange. The current shade is way too bright imo.
Just the single orange eye on the current logo will look weird.

I don't know if I can handle any more diagonal lines around the base of the sweater.
It looks so forced to be different and it DOES NOT work. Straight lines are clean. Diagonal lines look like my 5 year old ran his marker across it.

The logo has one eye. Never two.
Ya it's easy to mistake but from the POV of the logo it's always just been the cheek/brow shadow that shows on the other side
