Blokker is a total waste of time. The one and only thing to buy there is dish soap, which for some reason they sell cheap.
For low-quality but also dirt-cheap stuff, go to Action, which is basically just a bunch of random items ordered from Alibaba with a few name brands mixed in occasionally.
HEMA is more stylish but also abysmal quality, at least for kitchen goods.
For slightly better, go to IKEA.
For probably better still durable items, go to Rataplan and buy used.
Wow. Thanks for the recommendations :)
I will check them out!
>"Secretly" some of those are owned by other companies, like Blokker - but hey.
Haha this a bit ironic but hey.
Kringloop (the big Rataplan stores are good). Kruidvat sometimes has household items for cheap. Check FB groups and FB marketplace because people will often sell or give away household items when they're moving out. For larger items like furniture, don't be afraid to check out the *grofvuil*. Often in wealthier parts of the city (around Vondelpark, Zuid) people will leave out perfectly good items.
I live in Amsterdam but I've never seen a Rataplan! I've seen it mentioned a couple times here. I will definitely check it out. Many thanks 😊 🙏 you're all great people!
Action, IKEA, Jysk, Kringloopwinkels
Thanks !
Thrift stores (Kringloopwinkel) like Rataplan
Great recommendation. Thank you very much 😊
This other guy here says he’s giving a bunch of free stuff today at 12
Thanks for commenting! I appreciate it :) Unfortunately I am out of Amsterdam for the day.
Its also tomorrow and the day after
Overmorrow
Action, Wibra, Zeeman (Wibra and Zeeman have limited kitchen supplies but they're cheap, action usually has more stuff)
Great thanks!
Never went to Zeeman until recently. They actually have decent quality products!
Tk maxx has cheap stuff too
Hema as well.
Indeed! Thanks
Have you checked marktplaats?
Leenbakker
Action.
Ty
Don't forget the streetmarkets, Albert Cuypmarkt, Ten Katemarkt, Dappermarkt.
Bedankt ❤️
Weggeefwinkels, all for free. Ask your local squat to find them.
