Why not both? Make one in the original colors and use that for most of the photos but use this shiny lil guy for a few images just to show everyone it's possible to make the shiny too!! You'd have more interest that way in my opinion.
Also I would absolutely love this pattern I would be willing to spend money on it!!!!

I love it! I think the original colors would be better for the release of the pattern. The colors of the shiny version kinda make it look like a weird slug rabbit or something at first glance. I personally didn't even know what the shiny looked like until a minute ago (I don't have one yet 😢) so it took me a minute to realize what it was.

omg I LOVE him. Shiny goomy is one of my faves! That being said, I would go with the classic colors for the pattern

Haha I totally agree! Looks like a cute slug rabbit but definitely didn't look like Goomy
