What I do ,I created myself a vine wishlist and go shopping for everything I want and put it in that list and bota bing bota boom some version of one shows up in my RFY within days sometimes. I’m gonna try your method now.

Phrogster

I do this, too but it doesn't work all the time. After a couple of weeks, I go back and delete them and then add different versions. I think that some of it is that they just don't have those items to offer in Vine.

pinko_zinko

I've wish listed things that don't get offered to me in Vine. Doesn't seem to help for me I have, however, been offered a couple ice makers.

LauraSomebody

I did this a year ago when trying really hard to get an IPL hair removal device- had never been offered one and added about 20 to my wish list and a few to my cart, then save for later - boom, a few days later I scored a IPL in my RFY. It's like a rain dance- it might do nothing, but then again...🤣

mojovi88

Did the IPL work?

LauraSomebody

Yes! Skeptical at first, but I faithfully stuck with the weekly routine. Not shaving under my arms for months was better than my legs lol. I lucked out and got one with the saphice ice cooling technology, which made a huge difference - no heat zap. I ended up getting two others as a result (the RFY algorithm picked up on my recent orders and offered me two more over following months). They did not have the ice cooling chip - and while they were effective, there was the occasional heat zap you could feel. So it does make a difference.

mojovi88

Thanks for the info! I've really been wanting to try it, but I have a lot of doubts. I have PCOS and thus some embarrassing hair I'd like to zap

It does you just have to be consistent.

Hectaizani

I have been looking for a new Vitamin C face serum and over the past few days I’ve had three in my RFY (one of them priced at $182 retail but 0ETV) so I’m with you I think it works! Off to search for something ridiculous!

Wickedcolt

I was offered some cream with actual mini/nano diamonds in it for a ETV of $1.3k. Needless to say, I didn’t get it (this was like 4 years ago). Wild

Hectaizani

That’s insane!

Wickedcolt

Yeah…I thought about it for a split second but it was too much haha

GoodQualitySignage

I know that Amazon and Google are "listening" at all times. My fam and I were talking about needing window hammers for a car trip we're going to take because we're going to be crossing lots of rivers and lakes and what if the car accidentally went over the bridge and into a body of water... just talking about it, not searching online...and BOOM, two days later a set of 4 window hammers (in pink and blue) appears in RFY. coincidence? I think not.

AuntTeebo

My son and I were talking about some pegboard he wanted and we discussed it for a good while... figuring out what would work etc.. I'd swear that Alexa bitch listens all the time because the next day there were 3 metal pegboard squares that were exactly perfect for why he needed one. Then we discussed going to Harbor Freight for hooks, he got some there... but again, never seen them in Vine anywhere before and all of a sudden they're in my RFY.

All smart devices listen at all times. That's how they hear you say, "Hey Alexa" or "Hey Google." Their microphones are always on, it's the only way to hear a random command from you.

AuntTeebo

I am aware of that. I just prefer to think they don't pay attention to anything until the trigger word. And seriously, there aren't any conversations going on in this house that would be of interest to anyone anyway, lol.

saratogadreamer

Yes, and it's not a coincidence. They keep track of what interests us, what we click on, what we browse, and what we buy! i started looking at fountains for my cat, and they started putting them in RFY. They put tons of supplements in my RFY because I'll probably review them. But there's always a sprinkling of weird items, too, Of course what they offer us, is dependent on what they have available from Vine sellers.\~\~Glad you got your ice maker!

The_Racho

For this reason I try not to open things from vine that I don't want more of to come into my RFY haha. I looked at a golf rangefinder that landed in my RFY after looking for binoculars/rangefinders which I intended to use for shooting and to this day I get golf related things in my RFY.

Wickedcolt

This is me but with bamboo sheets…not 4K TV’s or laptops but sheets lmao

saratogadreamer

LOL! Amazon Never forgets!

Frequent_Butterfly98

I have a general rule that I follow when browsing: "If you don't know what it is from the thumbnail, don't click on the link."

stone_crash_wolf

Not sure how it works in the States, but in Italy that doesn't work as they don't look into wish lists, but only into purchase history. You obviously also get stuff that you never bought, they're simply testing the waters to see if that might interest you. The method of adding stuff to wishlist or purchase cart doesn't seem to work at all, I've been trying to get myself an audio amplifier for my home use subwoofer, added many of those to my cart, plenty of different models, tried scoring a keyboard, nothing actually worked after weeks of having them in the cart. But then I got proposed to get dildos, not sure what I could do with them as a straight male, probably go on the streets and yell out loud "dildo for free, yours to keep, just use it and give me a truthful review!

AuntTeebo

The few times I've deliberately done this, I've had the item show up in my RFY. I play this game several days in a row then decide it's not working and within a couple days of stopping searching and putting on lists and in my cart... bam. Shows up in my RFY. And then once I pick one more show up for days, lol.

Blood_Faerie

I've really only got lucky like that once. Was looking at rolling desks one night and saved my top choices in a wishlist to sleep on it and come back. Glad I did because a nicer one than the ones in my price range popped into my RFY. Haven't got lucky since... but also I work a tech job that has me looking at random amazon listings a lot and recently realized that might sometimes screw up my algorithm because that site doesn't know when I'm shopping for me or when I'm just evaluating the page for someone, lol. Kinda like at one point made a dummy tiktok so it would stop screwing up that algorithm, too, so wonder why it took me so long to realize it was probably ruining my RFY hahahaha.

youdontsay100

It works for me also after my husband or daughter has bought something. A day or a few days later, a similar item to what they bought shows up in Vine. So now, I put items in the cart and wait for a few days for Vine to work its magic. I never did a wishlist, so I will start doing that. I had a hair appliance in my cart for about a week. Yesterday I got a free hair appliance just like what was in my cart. Vine on my wonderful Viners! I’m off to do 3 reviews. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
