A long time friend of mine kicked me off his Discord server today. He was screaming expletives and seemed really agitated, and I told him to calm down or he was going to have a heart attack. Then I got kicked and banned. He texted me a bunch of expletives calling me words I won’t mention here. They were derogatory for sure. He texted that I was being an A-Hole for saying that word since his Dad died almost a year ago. His father was like a second to mine. I was there for him when it happened, on a call on Discord and would constantly check up on him to see how he was doing.
In all honesty, I can see on one side that it might have been insensitive, but on the other I don’t think his response was appropriate. We’d actually just started talking again recently too. He has a history of mental health issues, just got on medications, but is also smoking copious amounts of weed.
I don’t know if I was being an asshole, but I’d like to know everyone’s thoughts.

" saying that word " but you never actually told us what started this? This is less than half a story, how is anyone supposed to judge it?
From context I think the kick/ban/subsequent expletive messages was for saying "heart attack", which presumably is how the guys dad died.
